the downscaled air temperature data over study region for the projected 2001 - 2099 period were then ensemble averaged, and the ensemble averages of 6 realizations were compared against the corresponding historical downscaled data for the 1961 - 2000 period in order to assess the impact of climate change on air temperature over study region by graphical, spatial and statistical methods. In order to evaluate the seasonal trends under future climate change conditions, the simulated annual, annual DJF (December-January-February), and annual JJA (June-July-August) mean air temperature for 5 watersheds during historical and future periods were evaluated. From the results, it is clear that there is a rising trend in the projected air temperature and future air temperature would be warmer by about 3 degrees Celsius toward the end of 21^st century if the ensemble projections of air temperature become true. Spatial comparison of 30-year average annual mean air temperature between historical period (1970 - 1999) and ensemble average of 6-realization shows that air temperature is warmer toward end of 21^st century compared to historical period.

This paper is an attempt to examine historical drama which change rapidly in the manner of seeing history. Historical records are treated differently unlike in the field of modern history. Now the distinction between historical facts and fictions becomes no longer important. This change is affected by micro history, new cultural history, or post-modern history. History and narrative become interactive each other. In this respect they are no more historical drama. by Han Areum (director Suh Jae-hyung) represents this new trends. Of course, it doesn't suddenly pop up in 2005. It began in by Lee Yoon-Taek, was reinforced in by Kim Tae-Woong, and bloomed in . I intended to search important features of by following three. First is the interest about unimportant persons such as a maid of honor, an eunuch. In , they are the main characters. The author described much about those trivial people revealing the truth in different way of the existence. Second is the way of calling a past. In this piece, the past is not continuous. The past always appears at the stage by the present in the form of split which is imagination, recollection, revival. Third is a mixing genre. Comics, melodrama, and thrillers are all together in . This is a similar phenomenon to historical novel and movie of new trend. Strictly speaking, this piece isn't a history thriller. The accident of lost prince doesn't be treated importantly and the result isn't clear either. In this piece, detective genre is used for a symbol showing that writer pursuits the history, not the event. This represents well the characters of new historical drama because how historical facts are carefully recreated and constructed are important. It's enough to show the possibility to mix genre through comics and melodrama.

This historical review includes results on the family studies in Americal and Korea, in the latter, 1191 literatures are analyzed into 7 major domains : marriage and family values, family relationships, family structure, family problems, family studies trend, sex-roles, etc. Based on this article, more desirable theory building in Korean families is required.

This research has a significant meaning to observe and understand the historical condition of a furniture industry and the characteristics of Korean home furniture's formation, ability, skill and materials from 1980s when there were an economic growth and a historical development of Korean home furniture occurred to present days. During 1980s, there was an automatic system available and has enforced and settled the standards on its quality and price in a furniture industry. Also, there was a big trend of black furniture as well as an entrance of corporation and high glossy furniture due to technical cooperation from Europe. In 1990s, there was an entrance of furniture which various techniques was applied due to a high development of the materials and skills, and also various sizes of height and weight and enlargement of acceptance function using highly-technological hardware. After 2000 and now, pro-environmental products is embossed in the Korean home furniture where they added a public issue which is the concept of well being, and A.I and sub material has been pro-environment. There also was a natural unity between nature and technology because of increased usage of trees with its natural patterns, metals, and glasses. For the future development of home furniture design, This problem should be promptly recognized that current home furniture designs are now on the verge of being lack of originality and are just following the market demand and recent trend as it is. Then, there should be a development of its specialized, detailed, unique design as well as a development of advanced materials, production management, distribution, and so on, and carrying out a diversified research continuously. There also should be a systematic education, which is necessary for training specialists to lead the Korean home furniture design industry as well as preparing a basic level for the future without a negligence.

In this paper, it is aimed to present a detail investigation about the comparison of static and dynamic behavior of historical masonry arch bridges considering different arch curvature. $G{\ddot{o}}derni$ historical masonry two-span arch bridge which is located in Kulp town, Diyarbakir, Turkey is selected as a numerical application. The bridge takes part in bowless bridge group and built in large measures than the others. The restoration projects were approved and rehabilitation studies have still continued. Finite element model of the bridge is constituted with special software to determine the static and dynamic behavior. To demonstrate the arch curvature effect, the finite element model are reconstructed considering different arch curvature between 2.86 m-3.76 m for first arch and 2.64 m-3.54 m for second arch with the increment of 0.10 m, respectively. Dead and live vehicle loads are taken into account during static analyses. 1999 Kocaeli earthquake ground motion record is considered for time history analyses. The maximum displacements, principal stresses and elastic strains are compared with each other using contour diagrams. It is seen that the arch curvature has more influence on the structural response of historical masonry arch bridges. At the end of the study, it is seen that with the increasing of the arch heights, the maximum displacements, minimum principal stresses and minimum elastic strains have a decreasing trend in all analyses, in addition maximum principal stresses and maximum elastic strains have unchanging trend up to optimum geometry.

Construction Cost Indices are values for measuring fluctuations in direct construction costs which include material costs, labor costs, and equipment costs for construction operations. In Korea, Korea Institute of Construction Technology (KICT) has been assessing and announcing these indices since January, 2004. The main goals of this paper are to look over the calculation process for those indices and then present the trend in construction costs according to the types of facilities with the past construction cost index data. Also, this paper traces the origin of the occurrence of significant changes on those indices through the further analysis of the trend. In addition, this paper shows the practicality of the indices and the way how to put them to practical use. An alternative estimate method using the indices is suggested for compensating the changes of construction costs caused by price fluctuations.

There are many factors that affect the wind speed. In addition, the randomness of wind speed also leads to low prediction accuracy for wind speed. According to this situation, this paper constructs the short-time forecasting model based on the least squares support vector machines (LSSVM) to forecast the wind speed. The basis of the model used in this paper is support vector regression (SVR), which is used to calculate the regression relationships between the historical data and forecasting data of wind speed. In order to improve the forecast precision, historical data is clustered by cluster analysis so that the historical data whose changing trend is similar with the forecasting data can be filtered out. The filtered historical data is used as the training samples for SVR and the parameters would be optimized by particle swarm optimization (PSO). The forecasting model is tested by actual data and the forecast precision is more accurate than the industry standards. The results prove the feasibility and reliability of the model.

Objectives: This study examined the trends in gender disparity in the self-rated health of people aged 25 to 64 in South Korea, a rapidly changing society, with specific attention to socio-structural inequality. Methods: Representative sample data were obtained from six successive, nationwide Social Statistics Surveys of the Korean National Statistical Office performed during 1992 to 2010. Results: The results showed a convergent trend in poor self-rated health between genders since 1992, with a sharper decline in gender disparity observed in younger adults (aged 25 to 44) than in older adults (aged 45 to 64). The diminishing gender gap seemed to be attributable to an increase in women;s educational attainment levels and to their higher status in the labor market. Conclusions: The study indicated the importance of equitable social opportunities for both genders for understanding the historical trends in the gender gap in the self-reported health data from South Korea.

The purpose of this study is to analyze movie costume of main character and find design characteristic and historical spirit focusing on the movie, in which Ishioka Eiko, Japanese movie costume designer constructing unique design world, participated. The study captured images of three movies such as , and with Digital Multimedia Converting System and analyzed them by focusing on the pictures showing designer's intention and design characteristic well among acquired 319 pictures. The costumes addressing movie costume designer's sense of values are recreated as future-oriented new works and are expressed as creative costumes by acquiring inspiration from past factors, dissolving them and applying up-to-date technology. Movie costume shall reflect historical spirit of our age as movie shows social cultural trend including fashion trend of manufactured age. Ishioka Eiko has searched for the design, which is proper for three principles such as 'be unique', 'be eternal' and 'be innovative' and from the result of analyzing movie costume, it is found that she showed characteristics of symbolism(transmission of the sensitivity), ornamentalism(effective representation as a decorative effect attention) and multiculturalism(harmony of time and culture) as well as uniqueness. The movie costume are different mutually and create new hybrid culture, in which different costume cultures are mixed with current costumes without the restriction to other culture. It is proper for the age of globalization and localization so it is expected that the multiculturalism will be enlarged more.
