Efficiency of Angular Spectrum Method for Analysis of Acoustic Fields in Water (수중 초음파 음장해석에 있어서 각스펙트럼법의 유효성 검토)

  • Before application of the angular spectrum method to calculate acoustic fields in stratified water, its efficiencies and errors were analyzed by using a virtual boundary in homogeneous water. As the results, it was confirmed that the angular spectrum method was able to calculate an acoustic field rapidly though some errors due to the limitation of reference field size and number of data in FFT ware included. A modified method combined the angular spectrum with Lommel's approximation, which was newly proposed in this paper, was useful to reduce the errors.

Smart Far-Field Wireless Power Transfer via Time Reversal (시간 역전을 기반으로 한 지능적 원거리 무선전력전송)

  • In this paper, we demonstrate electromagnetic wave focusing and rectification based on time reversal as a smart method for far-field wireless power transfer. Time reversal in a complex propagation environment allows for transmission of high peak power pulses by focusing the electromagnetic waves selectively regardless of the receiver position. We demonstrate wave focusing and radio frequency (RF) to direct current (DC) rectification via numerical simulation of a complex propagation environment. The results reveal that time reversal can ensure peak power up to 12 dB greater compared to a narrowband continuous wave signal, thereby enhancing the rectified DC voltage with better efficiency.

  • 정보통신기기 및 컴퓨터시스템 등은 순간정전, 전압변동, 노이즈, 정전기, 고조파전류 등의 영향을 쉽게 받는다. 따라서 이러한 점을 충분히 고려하여 신뢰성과 안전성을 확보하도록 구성되어야 한다. 전력 품질이 강조되는 이유는 컴퓨터는 물론 각종 가전제품 등이 복잡하고 정밀한 전자회로로 구성되어 있어 조그만 전압변동이나 정전사고에도 전자회로가 오작동을 일으키거나 고장날수 있기 때문이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 분산형 태양광 발전이 계통에 연계되었을 경우 발생할 수 있는 전력품질에 영향을 끼치는 요인 중 하나인 고조파를 저감시키기 위한 능동형 필터 모델을 제안한다. 본 논문에서의 필터 모델은 PSIM을 이용하였으며, 능동형 필터 시스템의 장착 전 후의 고조파 및 잡음성분을 FFT를 이용하여 분석하여 시스템의 적용 가능성과 효용성을 본 논문에서 증명하였다.

  • In this paper, we perform the harmonic filter design for Incheon international airport, especially passenger terminal based on the results of measurement and analysis. Also, we show the waveform of machines which produce harmonics as a harmonic source. For harmonic filter design, we propose the APF(Active Power Filter) and ZSF(Zero Sequence Filter) design. Also, we simulate the filter effects using EDSA package. The results show the effectiveness of the method.

Heat transfer analysis on the heat exchanger of a stirling cycle machine (스터링 사이클 기기 열교환기의 열전달 해석)

  • A theoretical analysis was performed on the heat transfer by laminar oscillating flow in a simplified heat exchanger of a Stirling cycle machine and the results were compared with the experiment of Hwang. In the analysis the general solution to the temperature field obtained by Lee et. al was applied and extended to a more realistic situation. The results show that the heat transfer is influenced by the ratio of the swept distance of the fluid to the length of the heat exchanger as well as the oscillation frequency. This is well consistent with the result of Hwang's experiment. It is also revealed that there exist three distinct regimes having different heat transfer mechanisms. Through the scale analysis the main parameters governing the heat transfer in each regime are reduced and the dependency of the heat transfer on the parameters are examined.

A Computing Switching Angle for Adaptive Operation of SRM for Drill (드릴용 SRM의 최적운전을 위한 스위칭각 산정)

  • This paper presents a calculating method of switching angle for adaptive switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive of a drill. The operation of the SRM is completely characterized by the flux linked by one phase winding which depends only on the current in that same phase winding and the rotor position. An efficiently adaptive SRM drive is possible on appropriately scheduling the commutation angles with accurate rotor position, supplied current value and speed information. An adaptive SRM drive with reduction torque ripple should be controlled by an optimized phase current control along with rotor position. Therefore, we are suggested a computing method of switching turn-on and off angles for adaptationally SRM operation with varied rotor speed and load. To probe the computing method, we have some simulation and experiment, it is shown a good result that can be computing the optimized switching angles for an electric drill motor.

  • This paper proposes an efficient 2D Finite Element Method(FEM) taking into account the end-ring of three phase squirrel-cage induction motors. The parameters of the squirrel-cage induction motor such as conductivity of secondary conductor have an effect on the characteristics of a motor. Especially, if the characteristic analysis is done without considering the end-ring, the good results can not be obtained. Therefore, we calculated a new resistivity of the secondary conductor including the end-ring's resistance to apply the 2D FEM. Then, the performances of the motors are analyzed by using the new resistivity of secondary conductor which contains the end-ring resistivity. The validity of the proposed method is verified by comparing the numerical results with experimental ones.

  • 최근 모바일 장치의 사용 영역 확대와 더불어 기기장치 내의 다양한 영상 데이터에 대한 효율적인 관리와 검색에 관한 기술 연구가 요구되고 있다. 그러나 모바일 장치의 낮은 CPU성능과 한정적인 메모리를 극복하기 위해 저 용량 그리고 고속의 검색 엔진 개발이 요구된다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 RGB 색상 공간에서 HSV 색상 공간 상의 36개의 특징 값으로 변환하는 검색 테이블 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법에 의해, 입력 영상은 검색 테이블에 기반하여 빠르게 색상과 위치에 대한 두개의 특징 히스토그램으로 변환된다. 여기서, 특징추출에 필요한 연산은 본 논문의 실험 결과에서 보는 바와 같이 매우 낮다. 제안하는 방법을 이용하여, 우리는 영상, 색상 그리고 블랍에 의한 질의가 가능한 모바일 기반 영상 검색 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 실험결과는 제안하는 방법이 충분히 모바일에서 운용 가능한 가볍고 빠른 방법임을 알 수 있다.

  • This paper presents the information transmission between on-board and ground-site in MAGLEV. considering safety and high speed operation and density operation, information transmission between them is necessary. Therefore it is necessary for transmission system to ensure high speed transmission, low error rate, massive information, and reliability of information. To provide above conditions, 1.1km signal line assembly was constructed and Frequency Shift Keying(FSK) modulation and Open System Interconnection(OSI) based high-level data link control(HDLC) protocol are applied. To modulate digital signal for transmission from ground-site to on-board, carrier frequency of 70kHz is used and 90khz is used for transmission from on-board to ground-site. Transmission speed is 2400bps for consideration of train speed, quantity of information, and data error rate. And this paper introduces information monitoring considering user interface and presents the method for an effective data transmission in MAGLEV which is now being tested and intends to provide for an intelligent train operation system in future.

  • Recently the performance of CO2 arc welding machine has been advanced significantly through the adoption of inverter circuit topology which made it possible to control the waveform of welding current and thus to suppress the spatter generation. However, the optimum waveform is still uncertain. As a first step for figuring out the promising waveforms, this study was performed to set-up the experimental system for studying the effect of waveform variables, The system designed in this study is a digital controller using single chip microprocessor of 80C196KC. As a result of performance test of this system, it was demonstrated all of the waveform variables could be set individually and the resultant waveforms appeared to be pretty much the same as the intended one.
