다결정 Pt 전극계면에서 음극 H2 발생반응을 위한 전착된 수소의 Langmuir 흡착등온식에 관한 위상이동 방법 (The Phase-Shift Method for the Langmuir Adsorption Isotherms of Electroadsorbed Hydrogens for the Cathodic H2 Evolution Reactions at the Poly-Pt Electrode Interfaces)

  • 순환전압전류 및 교류임피던스 기법을 이용하여 다결정 Pt/0.5M $H_2SO_4$ 및 0.5M LiOH수용액 계면에서 저전위 수소흡착(UPD H) 과 전위 수소흡착(OPD H)에 관한 Langmuir 흡착등온식 $({\theta}\;vs.\;E)$ 을 연구조사 하였다. 계면에서 치적중간주파수일 때 위상이동$(0^{\circ}{\leq}{-\phi}{\leq}90^{\circ})$ 거동은 표면피복율$(1{\geq}{\theta}{\geq}0)$ 거동에 정확하게 상응한다. 위상이 동 방법 즉 최적중간주파수일 때 위상이동 변화$({-\phi}\;vs.\;E)$는 계면에서 음극 $H_2$ 발생 반응에 관한 UPD H와 OPDH의 Langmuir흡착등온식을 결정할 수 있는 새로운 전기화학적 방법으로 사용할 수 있다 다결정 Pt/0.5M $H_2SO_4$ 수용액 계면에서 OPD H의 흡착평형상수(K)와 표준자유에너지$({\Delta}G_{ads})$는 각각 $2.1\times10^{-4}$와 21.0kJ/mol 이다. 다결정 Pt/0.5M LiOH 수용액 계면에서 K는 음전위(E)에 따라 2.7 (UPD H)에서 $6.2\times10^{-6}$ (OPD H) 또는 $6.2\times10^{-6}$(OPD H)에서 2.7 (UPD H)로 전이한다. 유사하게 ${\Delta}G_{ads}$는 E에 따라 -2.5kJ/mol (UPD H)에서 29.7kJ/mol (OPD H)또는 29.7kJ/mol (OPD H)에서 -2.5kJ/mol (UPD H)로 전이한다. K와 ${\Delta}G_{ads}$의 전이는 다결정 Pt전극 표면의 상이한 UPD H와 OPD H의 흡착부위에 기인한다. 다결정 Pt전극 계면에서 UPD H와 OPD H는 음극 $H_2$ 발생 반응에 따른 순차적 과정이 아니라, 수소 흡착부위 자체에 따른 독립적 과정이다. UPD H와 OPD H의 기준은 음극 $H_2$발생 반응과 전위가 아니라, 수소 흡착부위와 과정이다. 수용액에서 음극 $H_2$발생 반응에는 다결정 Pt선 전극이 단결정 Pt(100)원반 전극보다 더 효율적이고 유용하다 위상이동 방법은 열역학적 방법과 상충적이 아니라, 보완적이다.

Tonal development and voice quality in the stops of Seoul Korean

  • Korean stops are currently undergoing a tonogenetic sound change, as found in the Seoul dialect in which a merged VOT of aspirated and lax stops induces F0 to be the primary cue for distinguishing the two stops and the lax stops have lower F0 than the aspirated stops. In tonal languages, low tone is produced with a breathy voice. This study investigated whether there are changes in voice quality with respect to the tonogenetic sound change of Korean stops. Two age groups speaking the Seoul dialect participated in this study: five females and six males born in the 1940s and 1950s and nine females and eight males born in the 1980s and 1990s. This study replicated previous findings of VOT and F0 and further examined H1-H2, H1-A1, and H1-A2 to see how they correlate with the sound change. In the older and younger generations, H1-H2, H1-A1, and H1-A2 were significantly lower after the tense stops than after the aspirated and lax stops, but they were not significantly different after the aspirated and lax stops. However, the younger females exhibited some different results for H1-H2 and H1-A2 than the older generation. In the younger females, the H1-H2 mean was higher after the aspirated stops than it was after the lax stops at the vowel onset, and the H1-H2 difference increased at the vowel midpoint. Although there was an inter-speaker variation in the results of H1-H2 and H1-A1, analyses of individual speakers showed that the H1-H2 and H1-A1 were higher after the lax stops than after the aspirated stops in the younger female speakers. These results indicate that lax stops tend to be breathier than aspirated stops in the younger female speakers. They also indicate that changes in voice quality are on Korean stops with tonal sound change, but are still developing.

  • β-Al2O3, which is used for solid electrolyte membrances in sodium-sulfur batteries, was prepared by sol-gel process. Sodium-n-propoxide NaOC3H7 and aluminum-isopropoxide Al(OC3H7)3 were hydrolyzated in the solution at pH 3, pH 7, pH 9 and pH 11, respectively. The sol-gel processed samples were calcined at several temperature steps, respectively and analysed by thermal analyser(DT-TGA), infrared spectrum analyser and X-ray diffraction analyser. The gelling rate of solution at pH 7 was much higher than that of the solution at pH 3. Thermal exchanging behavior of the gels at pH 3 were similar to Na2O·Al2O3·6H2O and, above pH 7, were similar to Na2O·Al2O3·3H2O. When samples' composition ratio was 9.13 : 90.87 [NaOC3H7:Al(OC3H7)3] at pH 7, β-Al2O3 was formed at 1100℃.

  • 산소가 포화된 메탄올 용액에서 다섯자리 Schiff base cobalt(II) 착물인 [Co(II)(Sal-DPT)(H$_2$O)] 와 [Co(II)(Sal-DET)(H$_2$O)]들의 활성촉매에 의한 hydrazobenzene(H$_2$AB)의 산화 주생성물은 trans-azobenzene(trans-AB)이다. UV-visible분광광도법에 의해 이들 반응의 속도상수 $k=6.06{\times}10^{-3}sec^{-3}$$2.50{\times}10^{-3}sec^{-1}$로 주어짐을 알았다. 균일 산화 활성촉매에 의한 H$_2$AB의 산화반응 메카니즘은 다음과 같은 과정으로 주어진다. H$_2$AB + Co(II)(L)(H$_2$O) + O$_2$ $\rightleftharpoons^K_{methanol}Co(III)(L)O_2{\cdot}H_2AB + H_2O\longrightarrow^{k}Co(II)(L) + trans-AB + H_2O_2$ (L: Sal-DPT and Sal-DET).

나문재 추출물의 성분 분석 (Component Analysis of Suaeda asparagoides Extracts)

  • 이전 연구에서 저자들은 나문재 추출물의 항산화 작용과 추출물 함유 크림의 유화 안정성에 대한 결과를 보고한 바 있다[1,2]. 본 연구에서는 thin layer chromatography(TLC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)와 liquid chromatography/Electrospray Tandem mass spectrometry (LC/ESI/MS/MS), $^1H$-NMR을 이용하여 나문재 추출물에 대한 성분 분석을 수행하였다. 나문재 추출물 중 ethyl acetate분획의 TLC는 5개의 띠($SA1{\sim}SA5$)로 분리되었다. Ethyl acetate 분획의 당 제거반응 후 얻어진 aglycone 분획에 대한 HPLC 크로마토그램은 2개의 피이크(SAA 2 및 SAA 1)를 나타냈고, 각각 그 용리 순서는 quercetin, kaempferol이었으며 조성비는 quercetin 16.88%, kaempferol 83.12%로 kaempferol의 함량이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한 LC/ESI-MS/MS를 통해서 SA 2는 kaempferol-3-O-gluco-side로 SA 3는 quercetin-e-O-glucoside, SA 4는 kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside, SA 5는 quercetin-3-O-rutinoside로 확인되었다. LC/ESI-MS/MS의 스펙트럼에서 SAA 1은 탈양성자화된 aglycone 분획에 상용하는 분자이온 $[M-H]^$-(m/z285) 피이크를 나타냈으며, $^1$v 분석을 실시한 결과 [${\delta}$ 6.19 (1H, d, J=1.8Hz, H-6), ${\delta}$ 6.44 (1H, d, J=1.8Hz, H-8), ${\delta}$ 6.92 (2H, d, J=9.0Hz, H-3',5'), ${\delta}$ 8.04 (2H, d, J=9.0Hz, H-2',6')]에서 피이크들이 나타났다. 따라서 SAA 1은 kaempferol임이 확인되었다. SAA 2는 aglycone 분획에 상응하는 분자이온 $[M-H]^-$ (m/z 301)을 생성하였고, $^1H$-NMR 스펙트럼은 [${\delta}$ 6.20 (1H, d, J=2.0Hz, H-6), ${\delta}$ 6.42 (1H, d, J=2.0Hz, H-8), ${\delta}$ 6.90 (1H, d, J=8.6Hz, H-5'), ${\delta}$ 7.55 (1H, dd, J=8.6, 2.2Hz, H-6'), ${\delta}$ 7.69 (1H, d, J=2.2Hz, H-2')]에서 피이크들을 나타냈고, 따라서 SAA 2는 quercetin으로 확인되었다. 결론적으로, 이미 보고된 나문재 추출물의 항산화 작용 그리고 안정성 실험과 더불어 나문재 추출물의 성분분석은 새로운 기능성 화장품원료로서 응용이 가능함을 시사한다.

도립진자 시스템에 선형 분수 표현법을 이용한 $H_2/ H_\infty$ 제어 (The $H_2/ H_\infty$ control of inverted pendulum system using linear fractional representation)

  • This paper presents an application of LMI-based techniques to the mixed $H_2/ H_\infty$ control of an inverted pendulum. The linear model of the inverted pendulum represented by an LFR(Linear Fractional Representation) model of uncertainties is derived. Considered uncertainties are three nonlinear components and a parameter uncertainty Augmenting the LFR model by adding weighting functions, we get a generalized plant, for which we design a mixed $H_2/ H_\infty$ controller using the LMI technique. To evaluate control performances and robust stability of the mixed $H_2/ H_\infty$ controller designed, we compare it with the $ H_\infty$controller through the simulation and experiment. The mixed $H_2/ H_\infty$ controller shows the better control performances and robust stability than the $H_\infty$controller in the sense of pendulum angle.

  • ZnO/$H_2Pc(I)_x$계의 광증감성 효율을 높이기 위하여 ZnO/$H_2Pc(I)_$x를 광전도성 고분자인 poly(9-vinylcarbazole)(PVCZ)에 분산시켰다. $H_2Pc$ 결정형에 따른 ZnO/$H_2Pc(I)_x$계의 요오드 도핑 함량(x)은 ZnO/${\chi}-H_2 Pc(I)_x$ 경우는 요오드의 농도가 증가할수록 x값이 증가하였고, ZnO/${\beta}-H_2Pc(I)_x$ 경우는 약 x=0.95인 요오드 농도가 $6.3{\times}10^{-3}\;M$ 이후에서는 오히려 x값이 감소되었다. 514.5 nm로 여기시킨 ZnO/${\beta}-H_2Pc(I)_x$계의 라만 스펙트럼에서 x값이 약 0.57에서부터 $I_3^-$ chain에 대한 특성 피크가 50~550 $cm^{-1}$에서 나타나기 시작하였다. ZnO/{\chi}-H_2Pc(I)_{0.48}$/PVCZ의 광증감 효과는 ZnO/${\chi}-H_2Pc(I)_{0.48}보다 1.6배, ZnO/${\beta}-H_2Pc(I)_{0.57}$/PVCZ보다 1.8배 크게 나타났다. 그리고 ZnO/$H_2Pc(I)_x$/PVCZ계에서 x값이 증가될수록 광중감 효과도 크게 증가되었다. 그러므로 $H_2Pc$의 광여기로 생성된 정공이 PVCZ으로 주입되어 ZnO/$H_2Pc(I)_x$/PVCZ계의 광증감 효과가 ZnO/$H_2Pc(I)_x$계의 광중감 효과보다 향상되는 것으로 판단된다.

Control of Plasma Characteristic to Suppress Production of HSRS in SiH4/H2 Discharge for Growth of a-Si: H Using Global and PIC-MCC Simulation

  • In SiH4/H2 discharge for growth process of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H), silane polymers, produced by SiH2 + Sin-1H2n ${\rightarrow}$ SinH2n+2, have no reactivity on the film-growing surface. However, under the SiH2 rich condition, high silane reactive species (HSRS) can be produced by electron collision to silane polymers. HSRS, having relatively strong reactivity on the surface, can react with dangling bond and form Si-H2 networks which have a close correlation with photo-induced degradation of a-Si:H thin film solar cell [1]. To find contributions of suggested several external plasma conditions (pressure, frequency and ratio of mixture gas) [2,3] to suppressing productions of HSRS, some plasma characteristics are studied by numerical methods. For this study, a zero-dimensional global model for SiH4/H2 discharge and a one-dimensional particle-in-cell Monte-Carlo-collision model (PIC-MCC) for pure SiH4 discharge have been developed. Densities of important reactive species of SiH4/H2 discharge are observed by means of the global model, dealing 30 species and 136 reactions, and electron energy probability functions (EEPFs) of pure SiH4 discharge are obtained from the PIC-MCC model, containing 5 charged species and 15 reactions. Using global model, SiH2/SiH3 values were calculated when pressure and driving frequency vary from 0.1 Torr to 10 Torr, from 13.56 MHz to 60 MHz respectively and when the portion of hydrogen changes. Due to the limitation of global model, frequency effects can be explained by PIC-MCC model. Through PIC-MCC model for pure SiH4, EEPFs are obtained in the specific range responsible for forming SiH2 and SiH3: from 8.75 eV to 9.47 eV [4]. Through densities of reactive species and EEPFs, polymerization reactions and production of HSRS are discussed.

Syntheses of Alternating Head-to Head Vinyl Copolymers and Vinyl Terpolymers via Ring-Opening Mechanism. Ring-Opening Polymerization of Substituted-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrans

  • 2-Ethoxy-6-methoxy-5-cyano-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran (1_a$), 2-n-butoxy-6-methoxy-5-cyano-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyr an (1b), 2-isobutoxy-6-methoxy-5-cyano-3,4-dihydro-2H-py ran ($1_c$), and 2-ethoxy-6-methoxy-3-methyl-5-cyano-3,4-dihydro -2H-pyran ($1_d$) were prepared by (4 + 2) cycloaddition reaction of methyl $\alpha$-cyanoacrylate with the corresponding alkyl vinyl ethers. Compounds $1_{a-d}$ were ring-open polymerized by cationic catalyst to obtain alternating head-to-head (H-H) copolymers. For comparison, head-to-tail (H-T) copolymer $3_a$ was also prepared by free radical copolymerization of the corresponding monomers. The H-H copolymer exhibited minor differences in its $1_H% NMR and IR spectra, but in the $^{13}C$ NMR spectra significant differences were observed between the H-H and H-T copolymers. Glass transition temperature ($T_g$) of H-H copolymer was higher than that of the H-T copolymer, but thermal decomposition temperature of the H-H copolymer was lower than that of the H-T copolymer. Compounds $1_a$, $a_b$, and $1_c$, copolymerized well with styrene by cationic catalyst, but compound 1d failed to copolymerize with styrene. All of the H-H and H-T copolymers were soluble in common solvents and the inherent viscosities were in the range 0.2-0.4 dl/g.

탄화규소 CVD 공정에서 CH3SiCl3-H2과 C3H8-SiCl4-H2계의 열역학적 비교 (Thermodynamic Comparison of Silicon Carbide CVD Process between CH3SiCl3-H2 and C3H8-SiCl4-H2 Systems)

  • In order to understand the difference in SiC deposition between the $CH_3SiCl_3-H_2$ and $C_3H_8-SiCl_4-H_2$ systems, we calculate the phase stability among ${\beta}$-SiC, graphite and silicon. We constructed the phase-diagram of ${\beta}$-SiC over graphite and silicon via computational thermodynamic calculation considering pressure (P), temperature (T) and gas composition (C) as variables. Both P-T-C diagrams showed a very steep phase boundary between the SiC+C and SiC region perpendicular to the H/Si axis, and also showed an SiC+Si region with a H/Si value of up to 6700 in the $C_3H_8-SiCl_4-H_2$, and 5000 in the $CH_3SiCl_3-H_2$ system. This difference in phase boundaries is explained by the ratio of Cl to Si, which is 4 for the $C_3H_8-SiCl_4-H_2$ system and 3 for the $C_3H_8-SiCl_4-H_2$ system. Because the C/Si ratio is fixed at 1 in the $CH_3SiCl_3-H_2$ system while it can be variable in the $C_3H_8-SiCl_4-H_2$ system, the functionally graded material is applicable for better mechanical bonding during SiC coating on graphite substrate in the $C_3H_8-SiCl_4-H_2$ system.
