Design of Two-Degree-of-Freedom PI Controllers using the Mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ Methods ($H_2 / H_{\infty}$ 혼합 기법을 이용한 2자유도 PI 제어기의 설계)

  • A numerous designs of PI controllers have been suggested to solve out trade-off between tracing and regulating problems. We constructed the PI controller system with two-degree-of-freedom that is more analytic and a better approach to a practical one. In the conventional H$_{2}$ design of optimal PI controllers, the cost function includes only the plant output terms due to the divergent problems. Since the platn input temr is not considered in PI controller design, occasionally, the plant input thends to be either very large or saturated. To solve the prior mentioned problems, we employed a mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ method that combines the H$_{2}$ design method to decide optimal parameters of PI controller and the $H_2/H_{\infty}$ design method to minimize the maximum amplitude of plant input. The calculation time of the H$_{infty}$ norm was considerably reduced by the simple scalar function obtained by the wiener-hopf factorization of non-scalar functions.

  • In this paper, we consider the problem of existence of conformal metrics with prescribed mean curvature on the unit ball of ${\mathbb{R}}^n$, $n{\geq}3$. Under the assumption that the order of flatness at critical points of prescribed mean curvature function H(x) is ${\beta}{\in}[1,n-2]$, we give precise estimates on the losses of the compactness and we prove new existence result through an Euler-Hopf type formula.

  • In this study, we deal with a multivariable system which its input and output are coupled. This study presents a method for designing a controller which allows a coupled system to be transformed to a decoupled system in a standard model adopting 2DOF controller. And Wiener-Hopf($H_2$) approach is used so that the designed controller can minimize given cost function.

  • Let $\mathbb{G}$ be a von Neumann algebraic locally compact quantum group, in the sense of Kustermans and Vaes. In this paper, as a consequence of a notion of amenability for actions of Lau algebras, we show that $\hat{\mathbb{G}}$, the dual of $\mathbb{G}$, is co-amenable if and only if there is a state $m{\in}L^{\infty}(\hat{\mathbb{G}})^*$ which is invariant under a left module action of $L^1(\mathbb{G})$ on $L^{\infty}(\hat{\mathbb{G}})^*$. This is the quantum group version of a result by Stokke [17]. We also characterize amenable action of Lau algebras by several properties such as fixed point property. This yields in particular, a fixed point characterization of amenable groups and H-amenable representation of groups.

  • Let M be a real hypersurface with almost contact metric structure $({\phi},{\xi},{\eta},g)$ of a nonflat complex space form whose structure Jacobi operator $R_{\xi}=R({\cdot},{\xi}){\xi}$ is ${\xi}$-parallel. In this paper, we prove that the condition ${\nabla}_{\xi}R_{\xi}=0$ characterize the homogeneous real hypersurfaces of type A in a complex projective space $P_n{\mathbb{C}}$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_n{\mathbb{C}}$ when $g({\nabla}_{\xi}{\xi},{\nabla}_{\xi}{\xi})$ is constant.

  • A parametric study has been carried out to elucidate the characteristics of channel flow with a streamwise-periodic array of cylinders. This flow configuration is relevant to heat exchanger applications. The presence of cylinders in channel flow causes the attached wall boundary layer to separate, leading to significant change in flow instabilities. There exist two kinds of instabilities; flow undergoes a primary instability (Hopf bifurcaiton) at a lower Reynolds number, and the unsteady two-dimensional flow becomes unstable to three-dimensional disturbances at a higher Reynolds number. We report here the dependencies of the primary instability as well as the flow characteristics of the subsequent unsteady flow including flow-induced forces and Strouhal number of vortex shedding, on the distance between the cylinder and the channel wall.

GENERALIZED SET-VALUED MIXED NONLINEAR QUASI VARLIATIONAL INEQUALITIES

  • In this paper we introduce and study a number of new classes of quasi variational inequalities. using essentially the projection technique and its variant forms we prove that the gen-eralized set-valued mixed quasivariational inequalities are equivalent to the fixed point problem and the Wiener-Hopf equations(normal maps). This equivalence enables us to suggest a number of iterative algorithms solving the generalized variational inequalities. As a special case of the generalized set-valued mixed quasi variational in-equalities we obtain a class of quasi variational inequalities studied by Siddiqi Husain and Kazmi [35] but there are several inaccuracies in their formulation of the problem the statement and the proofs of the problem the statement and the proofs of their results. We have removed these inaccuracies. The correct formulation of thir results can be obtained as special cases from our main results.
