생태계제어 구조물의 파랑제어 효과에 관한 연구 (A study on the wave control function of ecosystem control structures)

  • Multipurpose development of the coast and ocean can be considered as multifunction construction combining the functions of coastal protection, waterfront amenity and creation or rehabilitation of habitats. Multfunction development of coastal and ocean spaces can be accomplished by applying the ecosystem control structure of artificial habitats which will cultivate fishing ground with ecological harmony to the coastal protection system. To evaluate the applicability of ecosystem control structures as as fundamental coastal protection structure, wave control function of the structure is studied by numerical and physical analyses. Dimensional analysis and hydraulic experiment point out the importance of width and crest depth of ecosystem control structure, construction water depth and wave steepness. Wave control efficiency is estimated by the attenuation coefficient $(K_H)$ according to wave steepness $(H_0/L_0)$, relative constructed water depth $(h_i/H_0)$, relative berm width $(B/L_0)$ and relative crest depth $(h_B/H_0)$ of eosystem control structure. Empirical fomulas are suggested based on the results of model test by applying the multiple model based on this experimental results and numerical wave shoaling-dissipation-breaking model appears to be valid for the analysis of wave transformation around ecosystem control structure in the coastal waters.

Effect of different short-term high ambient temperature on chicken meat quality and ultra-structure

  • Objective: This study investigated the effect of different acute heat stress (HS) levels on chicken meat quality and ultra-structure. Methods: Chickens were randomly divided into 7 groups to receive different HS treatments: i) $36^{\circ}C$ for 1 h, ii) $36^{\circ}C$ for 2 h, iii) $38^{\circ}C$ for 1 h, iv) $38^{\circ}C$ for 2 h, v) $40^{\circ}C$ for 1 h, vi) $40^{\circ}C$ for 2 h, and vii) un-stressed control group ($25^{\circ}C$). Blood cortisol level, breasts initial temperature, color, pH, water holding capacity (WHC), protein solubility and ultra-structure were analyzed. Results: HS temperatures had significant effects on breast meat temperature, lightness ($L^*$), redness ($a^*$), cooking loss and protein solubility (p<0.05). The HS at $36^{\circ}C$ increased $L^*{_{24h}}$ value (p<0.01) and increased the cooking loss (p<0.05), but decreased $a^*{_{24h}}$ value (p<0.05). However, as the temperature increased to $38^{\circ}C$ and $40^{\circ}C$, all the values of $L^*{_{24h}}$, cooking loss and protein denaturation level decreased, and the differences disappeared compared to control group (p>0.05). Only the ultimate $pH_{24h}$ at $40^{\circ}C$ decreased compared to the control group (p<0.01). The pH in $36^{\circ}C$ group declined greater than other heat-stressed group in the first hour postmortem, which contributed breast muscle protein degeneration combining with high body temperature, and these variations reflected on poor meat quality parameters. The muscle fiber integrity level in group $40^{\circ}C$ was much better than those in $36^{\circ}C$ with the denatured position mainly focused on the interval of muscle fibers which probably contributes WHC and light reflection. Conclusion: HS at higher temperature (above $38^{\circ}C$) before slaughter did not always lead to more pale and lower WHC breast meat. Breast meat quality parameters had a regression trend as HS temperature raised from $36^{\circ}C$. The interval of muscle fibers at 24 h postmortem and greater pH decline rate with high body temperature in early postmortem period could be a reasonable explanation for the variation of meat quality parameters.

  • A mixed method between $H_2\;and\;H_{\infty}$ control are widely applied to systems which has parameter perturbation and uncertain model to obtain an optimal robust controller. Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motors are widely used for high performance control applications. Conventional PID controller only provides satisfactory performance for set-point regulation. However, with the presence of nonlinearities, uncertainties and perturbations in the system, conventional PID is not sufficient to achieve an optimal robust controller. This paper presents an approach to ease designing a Mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ PID controller for controlling speed of Brushless DC motors and the genetic algorithm is used to solve the optimized problems. Numerical results are shown to prove that the performance in the proposed controller is better than that in the optimal PID controller using LQR approach.

  • 본 연구에서는 강인한 성능을 가지는 모델추종형 H${\infty}$ 제어기의 설계법을 제시한다. 이를 위해 강인한 성능을 보장하는 해집단내에서 기준모델의 출력을 최적으로 추종하도록 유전 알고리즘을 사용하여 가중치 함수와 설계 파라미터 ${\gamma}$를 동시에 최적화한다. 설계된 H${\infty}$ 제어기는 강인한 성능에 관한 필요충분조건식을 만족함은 물론 설계사양에 따른 만족스러운 응답특성을 가진다. 제시된 방법을 보일러-터빈 제어 시스템에 적용하여 그 유용성을 확인한다.

Effects of Various Addition and Exclusion Time of Glucose on Development of Mouse Two-Cell Embryos

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of various addition and exclusion time of glucose (Control: no addition, A: 24~72 h, B: 24~48 h, C: 48~72 h, D: 0~72 h, E: 0~48 h, F: 0~24 h and 48~72 h, G: 0~24 h) on embryonic developmental capacity of 2-cell embryos in mice. Developed blastocysts were assessed for mean cell number by differential staining. The zona-intact blastocyst (ZiB) rates were higher (p<0.05) in group B than control. However, the zona-escape blastocyst (ZeB) rates were not significantly different in all groups. At 72 h, total blastocyst (ZiB + ZeB) formation rates were not significantly different in all groups. The mean cell number was not significantly different among all groups. The inner cell mass (ICM) cell number was higher (p<0.05) in group F than control, group A, B and G. The trophectoderm (TE) cell number was higher (p<0.05) in control than group A and D. The %ICM was higher (p<0.05) in group C, D and F than control. The ICM : TE ratio was not significantly different in all groups. Between control and glucose group, no significant difference was observed in the total blastocysts (ZiB + ZeB) formation rates. Also, no significant difference was observed in the mean cell number, ICM cell number and ICM : TE ratio. However the TE cell number was higher (p<0.05) in control than glucose group and %ICM was higher (p<0.05) in glucose group than control. In conclusion, glucose added in culture medium was not inhibitory on blastocyst formation but glucose added for 48 ~72 h in culture medium increases %ICM of blastocysts in mice.

SVM을 이용한 $H_{\infty}$ 제어의 강인성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Robustness Improvement of $H_{\infty}$ Control Using SVM)

  • 본 논문에서는 SVM(Support Vector Machine)을 이용하여 공칭 시스템의 동특성을 갖는 슬라이딩 평면 설계기법을 제안한다. 전형적인 슬라이딩 모드에서 슬라이딩 평면의 차수는 시스템의 차수보다 낮은 차수를 갖기 때문에 슬라이딩 평면은 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기의 동특성을 가질 수 없다. 그러므로 이 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 추가적인 상태들이 정의되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 추가적인 상태를 정의하지 않고 SVM을 이용하여 공칭 시스템의 동특성을 가질 수 있는 슬라이딩 평면의 설계기법을 제안한다. 이 설계기법은 먼저 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기에 의해서 제어되는 공칭시스템의 상태들 간에 SVM을 이용하여 그 관계를 정립하며. 이를 바탕으로 새로운 슬라이딩 평면을 설계하며 이 평면은 $H_{\infty}$ 제어 시스템 특성을 가진다. 그 결과 파라미터 불확실성이 존재하더라도 제안된 제어기는 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기에 의해서 제어되는 공칭 시스템의 동특성을 가질 수 있다.

상추 수경재배시 생리적 산, 알칼리를 이용한 배양액 pH의 자동 조절 (Automatic pH Control of Nutrient Solution by Physiological Fertilizers in Lettuce Hydroponics)

  • 수경재배시 변화하는 배양액 pH를 동적으로 조절하기 위한 방법으로 생리적 산, 알칼리와 화학적 산, 알칼리의 효율성을 검토하였다. 배양액 자동조절시스템에 생리적 산, 알칼리로 NH$_4$H$_2$PO$_4$ 및 NaNO$_3$를 이용하고, 화학적 산으로 H$_2$SO$_4$를 이용하여 상추를 재배한 결과, 처리에 관계없이 배양액의 pH를 안정적으로 조절할 수 있었다. 생리적 산, 알칼리의 경우 화학적 산, 알칼리보다 배양액 pH를 급격히 변화시켰으며, 그에 따른 해작용은 나타나지 않았다. 그러므로 상추의 순수수경재배시 배양액의 pH를 자동제어 하기 위한 방법으로, 생육 기간 중에는 화학적 산, 알칼리를 이용하여 pH를 조절하고 수확 며칠 전부터 NH$_4$H$_2$PO$_4$를 화학적 알칼리와 겸해서 공급하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 사료된다.

$H{\infty}$제어기법에 의한 연속 냉간 압연시스템의 두께 제어 (Thickness Control of Tandem Cold Mills Using $H{\infty}$Control Techniques)

  • An $H{\infty}$ controller with a roll eccentricity filter is proposed to alleviate the effect of entry thickness variation and roll eccentricity occured in rolling stands themselves of tandem cold mills. A robust controller to the disturbances is designed by H$_{\infty}$ control techniques, which can reflect the input direction of disturbances and the knowledge of disturbance spectrum in the frequency domain. First, fundamental problems in tandem cold mills such as process transport delay inherent in the exit thickness measurement and the feedforward loading of roll eccentricity signals on the exit thickness be overcome by the roll eccentricity filtering and the compensation for the error of gaugemeter thickness estimator. And non-satndard $H{\infty}$ control problem caused by the selection of weighting function having poles on the $J{\omega}$-axis is discussed. The resultant controller composed by an $H{\infty}$ controller and an estimator for the roll eccentricity is evaluated through computer simulations. The effectiveness of the proposed control method is compared to that of the conventional LQ controller method and a feedforward controller for the roll eccentricity, which has been already studied.

  • We consider the problem of synthesizing an internally stabilizing linear time-invariant controller for a linear tune-Invariant plant such that a given closed loop transfer function is strictly sector bounded. We show that the standard $H{\infty}$ control problem and the $\tau$ -positive real control problem are special cases of sector bounded control problem. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a controller are obtained. The state-space representation for strictly proper controllers are given in terms of solutions to ARIs or AREs.
