  • A $H_{\infty}$ controller is applied in order to control STATCOM and SSSC effectively under the circumstances where there exist some disturbances, modeling errors and noises. A one-machine infinite-bus power system is used as an analysis system. It is shown that the $H_{\infty}$ controllers of STATCOM and SSSC provide robust control performances to the power system with some disturbances and noises.

  • This paper introduce basic study how to restrain the vibration of multi-layer structure. We have modeled mathematically for four-layer-structure and have gotten a reduced nominal model through model analyzing method. And the H$\infty$ control theory was used in this control system to get robust controller. Its shown that the desirable performance is confirmed through the mathematical simulation and the experiments. That is the robustness of this control system which use H$\infty$ control theory is confirmed for ability of disturbance rejection and modeling error.

  • The performance of dynamic path following of a wheeled mobile robot with nonholonomic constraints has some drawbacks such as the influence of the initial state. The drawbacks can be overcome by the temporary path generator and modified output. But with the previous input-output linearization method using them, it is difficult to tune the gains, and if there are some modeling errors, the low gain can make the system unstable. And if a high gain is used to overcome the model uncertainties, the control inputs are apt to be large so the system can be unstable. In this paper. an H$_{\infty}$ controller is designed to guarantee robustness to model parameter uncertainties and to consider the magnitude of control inputs. And the solution to Hamilton Jacobi (HJ) inequality, which is essential to H$_{\infty}$ control design, is obtained by nonlinear matrix inequality (NLMI).

  • The actuator's response delay, disturbance and measurement noise can often cause a significant error in the target tracking of an underwater vehicle. The first purpose of this paper is error analysis about motion of an underwater vehicle when the closed loop system has actuator and disturbance and noise. The underwater vehicle is simulated for cases of various disturbances. The second purpose is robust controller design for the underwater vehicle with parameter uncertainty. So, two robust control methods are applied for the underwater vehicle. One is standard $H_{\infty}$ control, and the other is time-varying sliding mode control with modified saturation function. Suboptimal design parameters for $H_{\infty}$ control, and design parameters for time-varying switching surfaces are provided Simulations for the two controllers are carried out and their performances are analyzed.lyzed.

  • 본 논문에서는 PID제어기를 이용해 외란이 존재하는 이차 시스템을 제어하는 경우 외란 제거와 최적제어가 동시에 될 수 있는 PID 파라메터를 면역 알고리즘을 통해 구하였다. 지금까지 면역알고리즘을 적용한 최적화 문제에서는 외란이 존재하는 시스템에 대한 적용 사례가 매우 적었다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 면역알고리즘이 외란이 존재하는 시스템에서 어떠한 성능을 가지는 알아보기 위하여 외란이 존재하는 이차 시스템에 적용하여 그 성능을 알아보았다. 외란제거를 위해 $H_\infty$-norm을 응용하여 제어시스템의 외란제거 조건들을 제시하고 이 조건들을 만족하는 PID 제어기를 설계하였다. 설계된 PID제어기의 최적 파라메터를 구하기 위해 면역 알고리즘을 적용하였고 최적 파라메터를 평가하기 위하여 ISE(integral of squared error)성능지수를 이용하여 만족할 만한 결과를 얻었다.

  • 본 논문은 주파수역에서의 모델매칭을 이용하여 강인한 성능의 PID 제어기 튜닝법을 제안하였다. 이를 이용하여 부하토크 외란에도 강인한 성능의 BLDC 모터의 속도제어기를 설계하였다. 부하토크 외란이 존재하여도 주어진 기준명령을 강인하게 추종하도록 $H_{\infty}$ 제어를 이용하여 속도제어기를 설계한 후, 설계할 PID 제어계의 루프 전달함수와 설계된 $H_{\infty}$ 제어계의 루프 전달함수간의 오차가 주파수역에서 최소가 되도록 PID 제어기 파라미터를 튜닝하였다. BLDC 모터의 속도제어 시뮬레이션을 통하여 설계된 강인 PID 제어기의 성능을 평가하였다.

Robust Control of a Seeker Scan Loop System Using ${\mu}$-Systheis (${\mu}$-합성법을 이용한 탐색기 주사루프의 강인 제어)

  • ${\mu}$-synthesis is applied to design a robust controller for a seeker scan loop system which has model uncertainty and is subject to a external disturbance due to abrupt missile maneuver. The issue of modelling a real-valued parametric uncertainty of a physical seeker scan loop system is discussed. The two-degree-of-frame control structure is employed to obtain better performance. It is shown that ${\mu}$-synthesis provides a superior framework for the robust control design of a seeker scan loop system which exhibits robust performance. The proposed robust control system satisfies design requirements, and especially shows good scanning performances for conical and rosette scan patterns despite parametric uncertainty in real system model.

  • A combined optimal design problem of structural and control systems is discussed by taking a 3-D flexible structure as an object. We consider a minimum weight design problem for structural system and disturbance suppression problem for the control system. The conditions for the existence of controller are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). By minimizing the linear sum of the normalized structural objective function and control objective function, it is possible to make optimal design by which the balance of the structural weight and the control performance is taken. We showed in this paper the validity of combined optimal design of structural and control systems.

A Study on the Design Method of a Continuous Time Deadbeat Controller (연속시간 유한정정제어기의 설계방법 고찰)

  • Continuous time system deadbeat controller(CdbC) has been studied mainly since 1992 especially by Japan researchers. They suggested delay elements. These elements stem from the finite Laplace Transform which is the starting point in deadbeat control system design in continuous time system. Every transfer function is established by these elements. From some conditions such as internal model stability and peasibility of a CdbC controller. unknown polynomials or coefficients can be calculated. In this paper, optimal pole placement of the closed loop system is suggested. From this. a CdbC controller with lower order can be obtained which attains the same level of weighted sensitivity function's H$_{\infty}$ norm used as a measure of the robustness property as existing CdbCs.
