Objectives : The purpose of this study is to improve the fomula efficiency and prevent the resource abuse by clarifying the origin of kinds of Cinnamomum cassia Presl. Methods : 1. We researched "Shennongbencaojing", "Bencaogangmu", "Shanghanlun", "Jinguiyaolue", "Dongeuibogam", and other books. 2. Choosing a related words such as Cinnamomi ramulus(Gye-ji), Cassiae Cortex Interior(Gye-sim), Cinamomi Cortex(Yuk-gye). 3. Searching prescriptions: We searched prescriptions containing the Cinnamon in above books, and compared the differency among them. Conclusions : 1. Cinnamomi ramulus(Gye-ji) used for Shanghanlun contains Cinamomi Cortex(Yuk-gye), Cinnamomi ramulus(Gye-ji) and Cassiae Cortex Interior(Gye-sim) written in the Korean Pharmacopoeia. 2. Cinamomi Cortex(Yuk-gye) is the thick cortex of trunk of Cinnamomum cassia. It has functions like downwarding and warming-tonifying, and it is mainly used for Palmi-won(Bawei-yuan). 3. Cassiae Cortex Interior(Gye-sim) is about 30% of Cinamomi Cortex(Yuk-gye) middle layer, removing outer and inner cortex. Its main functions are regulating heart, coordinating the heart and kidney, and dispelling stastic blood and it is mainly used for Gyejibokryoung-hwan(Guizhifuling-wan) and Dangguisoo-san(Dangguixu-san). 4. Current Cinnamomi ramulus(Gye-ji) is a twig. thus, it means a small branch. Its main functions are upwarding, transversing, and exterior-effusing and it is mainly used for Gyeji-tang(Guizhijiagui-tang) and Gyejigagye-tang(Guizhi-tang).

The purpose of this study is to review histoiral development of Gye from the home welfare point of view. The origin of gye can be found ancient primative society but it was widely organized middle of{{{{ {Y }_{1 } }} }} D ynasty of Gye was originally wellfare o r ganization but changed to financial organization later. Gye can be classified as an organization 1) to realize common purpose as a whole community & 2) to realize common purpose as a household or individual Home wellfare function of Gye are studied on 8 areas,. In order to revitalize original Gye spirit in he modern society following was suggested: 1) For the rural village to be unified under Durae's spirit and organize Farming Company; 2) For the urban community to link needy people's Gye and above middle class people's Gye and utilize as civil wellfare organization ; 3) For financial organizaton to develop a pool financial product.

This study looked at the factors that shaped the identity of the Bupo-dong community through Dong-gye and Sangyeo-gye, mainly in the case of Bupori, Yeah, and Adong, and to identify that Dong-gye and Sangyeo-gye, played an important role in shaping and strengthening the community culture of its members. As a result of his inspection, Bupo-dong formed and maintained his belonging and identity as a member of Bupo-dong through the Dong-gye, the town's autonomy code. We were able to confirm that bupo-dong, unlike other villages where community culture is largely destroyed, has been able to continue its own community culture as a bupo people to this day, with a sense of belonging, solidarity and intimacy through the Sangyeo-gye of cooperation and relief. And it can be seen that the fact that the Burawon space, which has symbolic meaning to the people of Bupo-dong, exists without being watered down. It is important to discuss the community culture of Bupo-dong, which is sustainable, mainly in Bura-dong, which continues to be an important cultural space for bupo-dong people to meet and town events.

The ultimate purpose of this study is to revitalize the fishing community as the basis for the revival of the fisheries industry. The types of Eochon-Gye acceptance were analyzed as a basic study to achieve this purpose. According to the results of the study, it turned out that the head and the member of the Eochon-Gye had the same three Eochon-Gye acceptance types; that is, democratic, decision-making, and separatist types. However, the Eochon-Gye acceptance types by two groups differed in detail, even though they were named by the same names. Therefore, in order to devise an effective revitalization plan of the fishing community, it is necessary to reflect the detailed characteristics of each Eochon-Gye acceptance type owned by the two groups.

Chinese crude drug 'Gye Ji(桂枝)' is listed in Shen-nung-pen-tsao-ching(神農本草經), as the remedy for dispelling pathogenic factor from the exterior of the body by diaphoresis. In Korean, herbals origin of Gye Ji is branch of Cinnamomum cassia. Considering the descriptions in many herbals(本草書), the origin of Gye Ji reported by Su-Ching(蘇敬), Han-Pao-Sheng(韓保昇) and Li -Shin-Chen(李時珍) is regarded as the bark of branch of Cinnamomum cassia.

Objective This study was designed to investigate the effects of Gamiygin-tang (GY) extract (GYE) and fermented solution (GYF) on body weight, serum lipid level and adipocyte differentiation in high fat diet-fed obese mice. Materials and Methods High fat diet-fed obese mice and 3T3-L1 adipocytes mice were treated with GYE and GYF and obesity related markers were assessed. A cytotoxicity assay was carried out by MTS assay. Inhibitory effects of GYE and GYF on adipocyte differentiation were carried out by Oil Red O staining. The effects of GYE and GYF on the expression of adipocyte differentiation regulatory factors, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma ($PPAR{\gamma}$) and CCAAT/enhancer binding protein alpha (CEBP-${\alpha}$) were measured by real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction. The effects of GYE and GYF on the expression of adipocyte differentiation regulatory factors were also determined in relation to protein production/protein levels by western blotting. The anti obesity effects of GYE and GYF were measured in high fat-diet induced obese mice. Various factors were measured from the serum of the high fat-diet mice. Results Though GYE did not show toxicity at the concentration of 1mg/ml, GYF showed toxicity at the concentration of 1mg/ml. The GYE at 0.1 and 1mg/ml inhibited the differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells, and the GYF also inhibited the differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells. The effect of GYE on adipocyte differentiation factors including PPAR-${\gamma}$ and CEBP-${\alpha}$ was investigated and compared to the corresponding concentration levels of GYF. GYE and GYF both suppressed the RNA and protein levels of adipocyte differentiation factors. In the animal test both GYE and GYF reduced weight gain. GYE and GYF reduced blood cholesterol, TG and LDL levels. GYF better reduced blood cholesterol levels. Conclusions These results demonstrate that GYE and GYF exerts anti-obesity effect in 3T3-L1 cells and obese mice induced by high-fat diet.

The government is largely responsible for preventing “the tragedy of the common property”, but fisherman's effort fer an autonomous fishery control is equally required. Especially in these days of EEZ such self- regulated fishery management system should be developed and cared for as well. This study aimed to explore a proper management system for coastal fishing ground that now requires the responsible fisheries management by investigating and analysing more drastically the managerial functions of fishery right by Eochon-Gye(the smallest unit of fisheries cooperative based on a fishing village), a typical fishery producer's organization in Korea. This study also included such contents as (1) an understanding of fishery producer's organization, (2) the utilization and management system of coastal fishing ground, (3) the actual condition of fishing right distribution in Korea, (4) the fishery right management and activity of Eochon-Gye, (5) the operation and distinctive feature of fishery right in Japan, (6) the intervention and limit of fishery producer's organization for fishing ground management function, and (7) summary and proposal. We made all Eochon-Gye of the whole country an object of this study and carried out an investigation into Eochon-Gye through a questionnaire. We extracted 359 Eochon-Gye, 20% of the total 1,719 Eochon-Gye as a random sample and investigated these regions through a questionnaire by mail. The contents of the questions consist of 40 items, including six categories about the organization of eochon-gye, and fishing ground management and activities.

This study explores the space and society of Seorin-bang(瑞麟坊), using the Hanseong-bu family registry from the Gwangmu period to demonstrate the urban organizational units used during the late Joseon dynasty known as Seo(署)-Bang(坊)-Gye(契)-Dong(洞)-Tong(統)-Ho(戶). It seeks to examine how Seorin-bang's space and society changed with time. First, the study offers approximate demarcation for Gye and Dong through spatial verification of Bang-Gye-Dong-Tong-Ho of Seorin-bang in late Joseon Dynasty, whose precise locations were formerly undetermined. Second, it explores the relationships between Bang-Gye-Dong-Tong-Ho which has been widely understood to be hierarchical by previous studies, and classifies the relationship dynamics between Gye and Dong into four types. Third, the study finds that Seorin-bang retained much of its urban structure including roads, plots, and streams and maintained stable population distribution under the Japanese colonial rule, and continuously served as place of residency for many throughout the Gwangmu period. This study has major implications in that it illustrates space and society of Seorin-bang by converting the family registry from the late Joseon Dynasty into spatial data, and observes its changes subsequent to the Japanese colonial rule.

Objective : Neuropathic pain sometimes arises from a partial peripheral nerve injury. This kind of pain is usually accompanied by spontaneous burning pain, allodynia and hyperalgesia. It has been well known that acupuncture is effective to the pain control from ancient time in Asia. However, it is not clear whether Electroacupuncture(EA) & Acupuncture(AC) can control neuropathic pain effectively. The aim of this study is to examine if Electroacupuncture&Acupuncture at Hu-gye(SI03), Wijung(BL4O), Hu-gye(SI03) Wijung(BL40) may be effective to the neuropathic pain (mechanical allodynia cold allodynia) in a rat model of neuropathic pain. Methods : A rat model of neuropathic pain was made by injurying tibial nerve and sural nerve while common peroneal nerve was maintained. After the neuropathic surgery, we examined if the rats exhibited the behavioral signs allodynia. The allodynia was assessed by stimulating the medial malleolus with von frey filament and acetone. Three weeks after the neuropathic surgery, electroacupuncture &, acupuncture stimulation was delivered to Hu-gye(SI03), Wijung(BL40), Hu-gye(SI03) Wijung(BL40) one time a day for one week. After that we examined the withdrawal response of neuropathic rats' legs by von frey filament and acetone stimulation, c-fos and AchE(Acetylcholine esterase) in the periaqe- ductal gray(PAG) of neuropathic rats' brain. Results : 1. Electroacupuncture&Acupuncture at Hu-gye(SI03), Wijung(BL40), Hu-gye(SI03) Wijung(BL4O) significantly decreased the withdrawal response of mechanically allodynia in EA-BL40+SI03 group and AC-SI03 group as compared with control group on 6th day. 2. Electroacupuncture &Acupuncture at Hu-gye(SI03), Wijung(BL40), Hu-gye (SI03) Wijung (BL40) significantly decreased the withdrawal response of chemical allodynia(cold allodynia) in EA-SI03 group, EA-BL40+SI03 group and AC-SI03 group as compared with control group on 6th day. 3. Electroacupuncture & Acupuncture at Hu-gye ( SI03), Wijung (BL40), Hu-gye (SI03) Wijung(BL40) significantly decreased the expression of c-fos in the periaqe- ductal gray(PAC) of neuropathic rats' brain in EA-BL40+SI03 group and AC-SI03 group as compared with control group. 4. Electroacupuncture&Acupuncture at Hu-gye(SI03), Wijung(BL40), Hu-gye (SI03) Wijung(BL40) significantly decreased the expression of AchE in the periaqe- ductal gray(PAG) of neuropathic rats' brain in EA-BL40+SI03 group and AC-SI03 group as compared with control group. Conclusions : Based on the above results it is assumed that Electroacupuncture at Hu-gye(SI03) Wijung(BL40) and Acupuncture at Hu-gye(SI03) can help the treatment of neuropathic pain.

The HwaSungSungYouk is one of the construction project in viewpoint of today's construction management and various information how to build the HwaSung at the last of the eighteen century had been recorded in HwaSungSungYoukEuGye. The purpose of this study is to analyse the data in HwaSungSungYoukEuGye in viewpoint of today's construction management for estimating the resources of PalDal-mun construction. In the record, there are a 10t of information relate to time management, cost management and human resource management, and the concept of modern construction management will be also use to figure out the construction data of the HwaSungSungYoukEuGye.
