In industrial multivariable plants, it is often the case that the plant outputs are detected in a similar components not simultaneously but serially. In this paper, the problem of estimating the state vector of the plant based on the data obtained from such a detecting scheme is considered, and a special type of observer (referred to as a "multiple serial-sampling" type observer) which renews its internal states whenever a new group of data is obtained is proposed. It is proved that such an observer can be constructed for almost every sampling period if the plant is observable as a continuous-time multivariable system, and that the poles of the closed-loop system using the serial-sampling type observer consist of the poles of the observer and those of the state feedback system. The behaviors of the observer and the closed-loop system are studied by simulation. The results of simulation indicate that a multiple serial-sampling type observer can estimate the state of the plant more accurately than the ordinary type observers and improve the closed-loop performance, especially, in the existence of dectecting noise.ing noise.

Dialogic reading program is designed to involve children actively during shared reading and to provide a rich avenue for language development. The present study is to examine the effects of the modified dialogic reading program on parent-child interactions in parents of children with developmental language delays. six children with developmental language delays and their parents were participated. This 4 week program was composed of three group sessions and one individual feedback session. Parent-child interactions were videotaped before and after the program. As a result, all six parents showed increase in positive behaviors during the interaction after completing the program. And negative behaviors were partly decreased. These results were discussed in conclusions.

This study has explored the elements of e-teaching portfolio for enhancing teaching expertise in higher education. This study is carried out through the literature review and expert's focus group interview. As the result of this study, seven elements of e-teaching portfolio for enhancing teaching expertise in higher education have been found. First, 'personal background' include curriculum vitae, course responsibility, and other educational activities. Second, 'teaching philosophy' include the principals on teaching and learning, statements of teaching philosophy. Third, 'learning environment' include the characteristics of students, the previous learning contents, and physical environment. Forth, 'course contents and methods' include teaching strategies and instructional materials, Fifth, 'instructional evaluation' includes the principals of evaluation and the examples of learning outcomes. Sixth, 'endeavor for improvement of instruction' include evidence of activity for teaching improvement and instruction feedback from peer and students. And e-teaching portfolio also includes research career and awards history element.

Purpose: The importance of core exercise on muscle activation of the lower extremity has been studied. This study investigated the effects of core exercise using pressure biofeedback unit on muscle strength of lower extremity. Method: Fourteen healthy young adults (7 males and 7 females) were recruited. They were randomly separated two groups and performed core exercise using pressure biofeedback unit of one set for three minutes, 10sets per day for three weeks. Result: The mean of muscle strength of lower extremity, maximum power of muscle and peak TQ/BW in core exercise group significantly increased after core exercise using bio feedback unit (p<.05). Conclusion: These findings suggest that core exercise using pressure biofeed-back unit may help improving of muscle strength of lower extremity in young adults.

SNS has been emerging as an educational tool, because of its features such as discussion on course topics, feedback from peers and group collaboration. The purpose of this study is to investigate the affecting factors of learner's attitude and intention to use of SNS in college education. Based on prior studies self-efficacy, educational expectancy, subjective norm, habit and enjoyment were identified as affecting factors. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, all factors(self-efficacy, educational expectancy, subjective norm, habit and enjoyment) were found to be significantly related to the learner's attitude and intention to use. Result shows that educational expectancy and enjoyment are much more significantly related to the learner's attitude and intention to use of SNS in college education. It can provide a guideline of effective strategy for SNS utilization in college education.

When English language teachers are deciding on their priorities for teaching pronunciation, it is imperative to know what kind of differences and errors are most likely to interfere with communication, and what special problems particular first-language speakers will have with English pronunciation. In other words, phoneme discrimination skill is an integral part of speech processing for the EFL learners' learning to converse in English. Training using sound visualization technique can be effective in improving second language learners' perceptions and productions of segmental and suprasegmental speech contrasts. This study assessed the efficacy of a pronunciation training that provided visual feedback for EFL learners acquiring pitch and durational contrasts to produce and perceive English phonemic distinctions. The subjects' ability to produce and to perceive novel English words was tested in two contexts before and after training; words in isolation and words in sentences. In comparison with an untrained control group, trainees showed improved perceptual and productive performance, transferred their knowledge to new contexts, and maintained their improvement three months after training. These findings support the feasibility of learner-centered programs using sound visualization technique for English language pronunciation instruction.

Transmit diversity schemes we an effective capacity improvement method for down link of wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA) systems. In this paper, we propose to use transmit antenna subset selection scheme in conjunction with closed loop transmit adaptive array (TxAA). The proposed scheme selects N$\_$s/ optimum antennas among N$\_$${\gamma}$/(>N$\_$s/) transmit antennas in order to maximize diversity gain from selected antennas, and also reduces the cost of RE chains by employing two different types of RF modules fur the selected and the unselected antenna group, respectively. Computer simulation results show performance improvement by the proposed scheme over the conventional TxAA when considering up link control information feedback.

We investigated the characteristics of lesson session and the professional development of teachers who conduct good teaching science subject. Seven teachers' were selected the finalists at the elementary school science and teaching competition. The study was based on a semi-structured questionnaire and interviews. To prove validity of the study, the collected data were verified by subject teachers for feedback. The results showed that the teachers believed that their lesson contents and methods were superior to other teachers. To enhance professional development in their lessons, they are only being made through help from colleagues and personal efforts, and a systematic development was involved with necessary situation. As a plan for enhancing an effective quality enhancement of lessons, open classes and conversation between colleagues were proposed. An organization or a group that can motivate teachers and provide systematic support for quality enhancement of lessons by teachers is needed.

Very early stage of chick embryo cultivated in the medium containing DLtryptophan by beaker method has been investigated in vitro morphologically using electron microscopy at cellular level and found that the development of tryptophan treated chick embryos corresponding to 18∼66 hrs incubation was impaired and york granule degradation was significantly delayed. It was also found that DNA, RNA and protein biosynthesis of tryptophan treated chick embryo was greatly lowered than those of control group. Conversion of L-tryptophan into serotonin was traced using 14C-L-tryptophan and found that 13.8cA of added radioactivity was recovered from serotonin formed during 18 hrs incubation and the amounts of serotonin formed were depend upon added amount of tryptophan in e99 yolk. It seemed that the serotonin formed from external tryptophan might inhibit the degradation of yolk granule by feedback mechanism, resulting in malformation of chick embryogenesis.

This study implemented self-management technique to improve supervisory behaviors at a construction site. Self-management in the current study consisted of goal setting, self-monitoring and providing reward for two supervisory behaviors; (1) conducting safety observations of workers safety behavior and (2) providing safe related feedback. Two supervisors severed as participants. An AB within-group design was adopted. After baseline(A), self-management technique was implemented(B). Results suggested that self-management was effective in increasing the two supervisory behaviors. Moreover, the increased supervisory behaviors were associated with improvement in workers' safety performance.
