Study on System Support for Offshore Plant Piping Process Using 3D Simulator

  • An offshore plant is an offshore platform that can process oil and gas resources in rough seas with a poor working environment. Moreover, it is a complex structure with different types of offshore facilities and a large amount of outfitting that connects different offshore installations. In particular, an enormous amount of various piping materials is installed in a relatively narrow space, and thus, the difficulty of working is relatively high compared to working in ships or ground plants. Generally, when the 3D detailed design is completed, an offshore plant piping process is carried out at the shipyard with ISO 2D fabrication drawings and ISO 2D installation drawings. If a worker wants to understand the three-dimensional piping composition in the working area, he can only use three-dimensional viewers that provide limited functionality. As offshore plant construction progresses, correlating work with predecessors becomes more complicated and rework occurs because of frequent design changes. This viewer function makes it difficult to identify the 3D piping structure of the urgently needed part. This study deals with the process support method based on a system using a 3D simulator to improve the efficiency of the piping process. The 3D simulator is based on the Unity3D engine and can be simulated by considering the classification and priority of 3D models by the piping process in the system. Further, it makes it possible to visualize progress information of the process. In addition, the punch content can be displayed on the 3D model after the pipe inspection. Finally, in supporting the data in relation to the piping process, it is considered that 3D-simulator-supported piping installing could improve the work efficiency by more than 99% compared to the existing method.

고해상도 SAR 영상 형성 및 품질 분석을 위한 시뮬레이터 (Simulator for High Resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar Image Formation and Image Quality Analysis)

  • 고해상도 레이다 영상은 탑재체 및 플랫폼 등 시스템 설계 변수에 비교적 민감할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 시스템 파라미터 기반의 2차원 SAR 영상 형성 및 영상 품질 분석을 위한 시뮬레이터를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 시뮬레이터는 유연성과 확장성을 고려하여 주요 모듈로 구성하고 Matlab코드를 이용하여 GUI 기반으로 구성하였다. 주요 기능은 SAR 시스템 설계 파라미터를 이용하여 SAR 신호를 생성할 수 있으며, RDA(Range-Doppler Algorithm)을 이용하여 영상을 형성하고 SAR시스템 파라미터가 영상의 질에 미치는 영향을 다양하게 분석할 수 있다. 특히, 본 시뮬레이터는 시스템 환경에 따라 파라미터 설정을 용이하게 할 수 있으므로 항공기 및 위성 탑재체 등의 SAR 시스템 설계와 SAR 영상 품질 분석에 효과적으로 활용할 수 있다.

Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation for Development of Fin Stabilizer

  • A ship cruising in the ocean oscillates continuously due to wave action. In order to reduce the ship's roll, we developed a fin stabilizer as an anti-rolling device for a 500-ton-class high-speed marine vessel. During the development phase, it was necessary to set up control gains for the motion and hydraulic systems and assess the effectiveness of the anti-rolling performance on the ground. For this reason, a Target Simulator, which simulated the ship's motion, was given operator inputs such as the engine telegraph and waterjet deflection angle, and generated roll using a one-degree-of-freedom motion base. Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation (HILS) was performed using the Target Simulator in order to confirm the various logics of the developed fin stabilizer, select initial control gains, and estimate the anti-rolling performance. In conclusion, it was confirmed that HILS was very helpful to develop the fin stabilizer because it could reduce the number of sea trial tests that were needed and could find many malfunctions in the factory a priori.

  • 나로우주센터 발사관제시스템 실시간 모의장치의 데이터를 퍼지-칼만 필터의 오차 공분산으로 후처리 분석하여 센서 사이에 존재하는 연관성을 시나리오를 전혀 모르는 상태에서 유추하는 연구를 수행하였다. 유추된 연관성은 시나리오 상의 관계와 정확히 일치하였다. 퍼지-칼만 필터의 최적화 성질을 역이용하여 센서의 신호를 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과로 다중의 센서 시스템이 존재하는 한국형 우주발사체와 탑재 유상하중 그리고 지상지원 시스템에 대한 신호분석의 가능성을 확인하였다

산불에 의한 열적상승유동 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Model of Thermal Plume Flow in the Forest Fire)

  • A study is made of thermal plume flow model for the development of helicopter simulator over the forest fire. For the numerical analysis, a line fire model with Boussinesq fluid approximation, which is idealized by the spreading shape of forest fire on the ground, is adopted. Comparing full 2-D and 3-D numerical solutions with 2-D similarity solution, it has been built a new model that is useful for temperature prediction along the symmetric vertical axis of fire model for both cases of laminar and turbulent flow.

  • Modern version of advanced supersonic fighter have ATCS (Automatic Thrust Control System) to maximum flight safety, fuel efficiency and mission capability the integrated advanced autopilot system such as TFS (Terrain Following System), GCAS (Ground Collision Avoidance System) and AARS (Automatic Attitude Recovery System) and etc. This paper addresses the design and verification of ATCS based on advanced supersonic trainer in HILS (Hardware In the Loop Simulator) with minimum hardware modification to reduce of development cost and maintain of system reliability. The function of ATCS is consisted of target speed hold mode in UA (Up and Away) and angle of attack hold mode in PA (Power Approach). The real-time pilot evaluation reveals that pilot workload is minimized in cruise and approach flight stage by ATCS.

  • In the recent day, fatigue life prediction techniques play a major role in the design of components in the ground vehicle industry. Full scale durability testing in the laboratory is an essential of any fatigue life evaluation of components or structures of the automotwe vehicle. Component testing is part~cularly important in today's highly competitive industries where the design to reduce weight and production costs must be balanced with the necessity to avoid expensive service failure. Generally, multi-axial road simulator is used to carry out the fatigue test and the vibration test. In this paper, the algorithm and software to realize the real road profile are developed. The validity of the software are verified by applying the belgian road, the city road, the highway, and the gravel road. The results of the above experiment show that the real road profiles are realized well after loth iteration.

In this paper, The operation software for simultaneously driving 3-axis vibration testing device is developed and the displacement of the 3-axis actuator is separately calibrated by LDT Moreover, the input and output data are displayed in windows of PC controller with real time.

봉상 접지전극 상호간의 전위간섭에 대한 평가 (Evaluations on the Potential Interferences between Ground Rods)

  • 본 논문은 봉상접지전극 주변에서 접지전극간 전위간섭에 대해 다루었다. 접지전극 상호간의 전위간섭을 저감하는 기법을 제안하기 위해서 실규모 접지전각에서 발생될 수 있는 대지전위와 전위간섭을 이론적 해석과 축소모델 실험을 이용하여 실험적으로 분석하였다. 반구형 수조모의접지 실험장치로 접지전극 상호간 이격거리에 따른 전위 상승과 전위간섭계수를 측정하고, CDEGS 소프트웨어를 이용하여 이들 현상을 해석하였다. 그 결과 전위상승과 전위간섭계수는 접지전극의 이격거리에 강하게 의존하였으며, 실측결과는 이론적 계산결과와 잘 일치는 결과를 얻었다.

  • 본 논문은 LVC 통합 아키텍처 기반의 실기동급 ACMI 모의기의 개발 내용 및 비행시험 수행 내용을 기술하였다. ACMI는 공군의 전투 및 작전능력 배양을 위한 모의 공중전투 및 지상폭격 훈련 체계로서 실제 사람이 실제 장비인 전투기를 운용하는 실기동급 시뮬레이션이다. ACMI 모의기는 LVC 통합 아키텍처 기반의 실기동급 전투기에서 데이터 링크 통신을 이용한 가상급, 구성급 시뮬레이션과의 연동 기술을 확보하기 위해 개발되었다. ACMI 모의기는 무인기를 운용하여 전투기의 기동을 모의하였는데, 전투기와 무인기는 상이한 기동 특성을 가진다. 이에 본 연구에서는 무인기의 비행 데이터를 활용한 전투기의 기동 모의 방법을 제안하였으며, 이를 무인기에 적용하여 전투기 기동과의 유사성을 검증하고자 비행시험을 수행하였다.
