Pile Slab 공법의 보강길이 산정에 관한 해석적 연구 (An Analytical Study on the Determination of Reinforcement Length of Pile Slab Method)

  • From the result of analysis using finite element method for the Pile Slab reinforcement length through embankment of height, soft ground and the change of cohesion following results were acquired. 1. The higher embankment of height is, the deeper depth of soft ground is, the smaller cohesion is, Pile Slab reinforcement length increased almost straight. 2. The reinforcement length is controlled by the depth of soft ground, cohesion, embankment of height and the like. Among these, cohesion of soft ground is affected the most. 3. The reinforcement length of Pile Slab is determined using by calculated formula.

  • Purpose : Sit-to-stand (STS) is one of the important activities of daily living (ADL) and each of its parameters is used frequently. This study aimed to examine the influence of different seat height on performance time and floor reaction force strength during an STS movement. Methods : Fifteen young-adult male subjects participated in this study. The subjects were divided into three groups based on lower leg length. Subjects performed an STS movement twice from chairs at height adjusted by the lower leg length of each subject. To examine the influence of the chair seat height, ground reaction forces during a STS performed with 3 chair heights adjusted to each subjects lower leg length were compared. Results : Vertical ground reaction force and time during an STS movement were measured to evaluate. Parameters regarding ground reaction force were selected for analyses. Significant differences were found in ground reaction force at G1 was greater than G2 and G3. Conclusion : The STS movement achievement strategy differed since chair seat height changes relatively by the difference in lower leg length. When conducting the ability to achieve STS movement rating test, chair seat height considering each subject's lower leg length may be needed.

Jansen's Mechanism 기반의 보행로봇 최적설계 (Walking robot Optimum Design by Jansen's mechanism)

  • This study focus to make 8 legs robot based on Jansen's mechanism. In the process of making, we found GL(Ground length),GAC(Ground Angle Coefficient) and the height difference of tract and compare Several models with M.Sketch to find link's Length ratio Optimised simple walking and crossing of obstacles. In the process, our team Analyzed the difference ideal tract (Jansen holy number model's track) contrived by Jansen and our final model tract. As a result, we found optimal link's length ratio to over the obstacles and some features that our model differ from Jansen holy number model. It means that optimal link's length ratio depends on certain circumstances, perfect length ratio is nonexistent.

Three Line Scanner의 초점거리 오차의 영향에 관한 연구 (Analysis of the Effects of Three Line Scanner's Focal Length Bias)

  • The positions, attitudes, and internal orientation parameters of three line scanners are critical factors in order to acquire the accurate location of objects on the ground. Based on the assumption that positions and attitudes of the sensors are derived either from direct geo-referencing which of using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), or from indirect geo-referencing which of using Ground Control Points (GCPs), this paper describes on biased effects of Internal Orientation Parameter (IOP) on the ground. The research concentrated on geometrical explanations of effects from different focal length biases on the ground. The Synthetic data was collected by reasonable flight trajectories and attitudes of three line scanners. The result of experiments demonstrated that the focal length bias in case of indirect geo-referencing does not have critical influences on the quality of reconstructed ground space. Also, the relationships between IO parameters and EO parameters were found by the correlation analysis. In fact, the focal length bias in case of the direct geo-referencing caused significant errors on coordinates of reconstructed objects. The RMSE values along the vertical direction and the amount of focal length bias turned out to be almost perfect linear relationship.

지중열교환기의 지중열전도도 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Ground Thermal Conductivity by Ground Heat Exchanger)

  • The objectives of this paper are to estimate the ground thermal conductivity by ground heat exchangers in two different places - Chooncheon and Wonjoo, and to analyze the effect of ground thermal conductivity on the ground thermal diffusivity and the size of the ground heat exchanger. In Chooncheon area, a single-U type HDPE pipe (25mm diameter) with borehole diameter of 150mm, length of 150m is installed. In Wonjoo area, a single-U type HDPE pipe (40mm diameter) with borehole diameter 150mm, length of 200m is installed. It is found that the ground thermal conductivities are estimated as 2.69 $W/m^{\circ}C$ and 2.99 $W/m^{\circ}C$ in Chooncheon and Wonjoo, respectively. It is also found that the ground heat exchanger size is reduced by 8.6% with 25% increase of ground thermal conductivity, and increase by 11.8% with 25% decrease of ground thermal conductivity.

  • This paper presents the results of small scale model tests on the behavior of propped wall and ground movements during deep excavation. Small scale model tests were performed in order to investigate the effects of various influencing factors on the deep excavation, such as stiffness of ground and unsupported span length. The results of model tests indicated that the wall behavior is significantly influenced not only by the stiffness of ground but by the over-excavation, and that the wall behavior can be reduced by decreasing the unsupported span length and increasing the stiffness of ground.

  • A ground loop heat exchanger for the ground source heat pump system is the core equipment determining the thermal performance and initial cost of the system The length and performance of the heat exchanger is dependent on the ground thermal conductivity, the operation hours, the ground loop diameter, the grout, the ground loop arrangement, the pipe placement and the design temperature. The result of this simulation shows that higher thermal conductivity of grouting materials leads to the decrease length of geothermal heat exchanger from 100.0 to 84.4%.

Assessing the Root Development and Biomass Allocation of Magnolia champaca under Various Mulching at Montane Rainforest Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia

  • The successful restoration program requires a comprehensive understanding of variables influencing seedling efficiency. Below-ground is hypothesized to have a major impact on seedling performance of species when planted in agriculture, and degraded areas with different types of mulching. This study investigated on Sg. Terla Forest Reserve in Cameron Highlands Pahang, Malaysia. In this study randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used. The excavation method was applied to study the root system development, above, and below ground biomass distributions under different types of mulching: coconut mulching (CM), oil palm mulching (OM), plastic mulching (PM) and control (CK). The root diameter, main root length, lateral root length, root coiling, and root direction toward to sun were recorded. The results in this study indicate that mulching had significant effect on root diameter, main root length, and root distributions among treatments while for lateral root length, root: shoot ratio, dry biomass distributions, and above and below ground biomass did not showed significant effect among treatments. The highest values for root diameter, lateral root length, main root length, root distributions, dry biomass distributions and above and below ground biomass were showed in CM treatments. However 75% of root coiling was observed in seedlings between treatments.

전위간섭을 기초로 한 병렬 접지봉의 합성접지임피던스의 분석 (An Analysis on Resultant Ground Impedance Based on the Potential Interference Of Parallel Ground Rods)

  • Multiple ground rods are commonly used to obtain the low ground impedance, but they will not reduce the ground impedance unless the spacings between the ground rods are sufficient. This paper presents the experimental results of frequency-dependent resultant ground impedance of two ground rods in parallel. The resultant ground impedance of two ground rods in parallel were measured as functions of the spacing and length of ground rods and the frequency of test currents and were discussed based on the potential interferences. As a consequence, the frequency-dependent ground impedance of single ground rod and two combined ground rods give capacitive. It was found that the effect of potential interference on the ground impedance is directly associated with the frequency-dependent ground impedance and is strong in low frequency. Also, in order to reduce the increasing rate of resultant ground impedance of two ground rods due to potential interference to within 10(%), two ground rods in parallel will be placed over one rod length apart.

수직으로 매설된 이중관형 지중 열교환기에 대한 해석적인 연구 (Numerical analysis of the vertical tube-in-tube ground coil heat exchanger)

  • A computer model was developed in order to predict the temperature distribution and the performance of the vertical tube-in-tube ground coil heat exchanger. This model has been validated by experimental results conducted by ORNL. The heat exchanger performance with the variation of the length is calculated and compared. As results, the heat exchanger performance is proportional to the length but the performance per unit length decreases. The minimum performance of 70m - PVC heat exchanger during cyclic operation for a week is obtained 20,054kJ/h for cooling operation and 13,915kJ/h for heating operation. And minimum temperature difference is $4.64^{\circ}C$ for cooling operation and $2.64^{\circ}C$ for heating operation. In each case, it is noted that the temperature difference between the pipe and the far-field occurs within 0.8m from the heat exchanger.
