A design of supervisory control system for a multi-robot system (다중로봇을 휘한 관리제어 시스템의 설계)

  • This paper presents a design experience of a control language for coordination of a multi-robot system. To effectively program job commands, a Petrinet-type Graphical Robot Language(PGRL) is proposed, where some functions, such as concurrency and synchronization, for coordination among tasks can be easily programmed.In our system, the proposed task commands of PGRL are implemented by employing formal model languages, which are composed of three modules, sensory, data handling, and action module. It is expected that by using our proposed PGRL and formal languages, one can easily describe a job or task, and hence can effectively operate a complex real-time and concurrent system. The control system is being implemented by using VME-based 32-bit microprocessor boards for supervisory, each module controller(arm, hand, leg, sensor data processing module) and a real time multi-tasking operating system(VxWorks).   • This paper presents the development of interactive graphical software for the educational purpose of power flow(PF) calculation. The developed software is specially designated to give a beginner the interest on PF problem as well as to increase the understanding of it with ease. the software developed in this paper is basically composed of the pull-down menu driver, in which various functions, such as Program Master, Data File Management, Case Study Option, PF Run and View Output, are prepared to handle the software easily and thus to be familiar with power flow calculation. A special design is also considered for interactive operation of the software, wi th which user can interrupt the computation process of PF to control the convergency of PF algorithm, With this function begineer can acquire the understanding of convergency characteristics and numerical sensitivity of PF algorithm as well as basic concept of its computation logic. Futhermore, various graphic illustrations is also provided to review and compare the computation results on monitor.

  • This study is discussed research on management of items in PC's GUI(Graphical User Interface) environment. A items are general knowledge data like books, musical CD, English CD, and game CD, which are the time when we don't seek the right items in the case of re-reading and re-listening the items. In this paper, We propose an example designed to be used in the management of a items. The proposed example is implemented by educational VC++(Visual C++) programming language. This program and discussions for management of a items will understand the development procedure of searching and storing data, which will provide some basics into designing large database systems.

  • In this study, an analysis and design for hydraulic control system was developed. By using this system, the operator is able to simulate dynamic performance of the system without possessing special knowledge of software or control engineering. A graphical user interface was adopted in the system and all speration for simulation can be done by using window facilities on the display. The electro-hydraulic servo system is simulated to present the performances of the program and compared with the result of Matlab and experiment.

  • An integrated program of driving simulator has been developed for excavators using the Motif, OpenGL, and C compiler. The developed program not only offers a GUI but also covers graphic algorithms, therefore, the user can easily run the driving simulator whose components include a simplified visual graphics system. Several graphics technique are combined and applied to the simulator program in order to increase the speed of graphical representation, which access computer memories, mix 2D models with 3D ones, and use the basic position detection method. A text format environment file has been utilized for organizing more flexible driving circumstances.

  • A computer program for matrix structural analysis by object-oriented programming technique using C/sup ++/ language has been developed. Object, class, method and inheritance which are used in object-oriented programming are illustrated using a graphical representation. The matrix operations and the structural analysis by matrix displacement method were satisfactorily performed by the proposed program. This object-oriented programming concepts can be widely used to develop the finite element structural analysis program for personal computers.

  • In this paper a free-form hull design program and performance prediction program for planing boat is introduced. This program enables the designer to do complex geometric hull shape design on a personal computer and accurately to predict power requirements for a given loading and velocity. For a free form design, Bezier curve model is adopted as a basic representation tool of curves and surfaces, and this program has versatile functions to do fairing jobs with a convenient graphical user interface. After creating a hull form the geometric data is provided in a manner compatible with a variety of analysis tools including 'Motion Analysis(by Zarnick)' for prediction of motion characteristics in regular waves, 'Running Attitude (by Savitsky)' for prediction of the running attitude and required power.

  • LabVIEW is faster than text language based program regarding development time and can monitor the output of data fast without the separate compiling work as the graphic-based graphical programming language. And, its coding is fast because it is designed by connecting the function with the wire and its has the merit of relatively intuitive UI. In this paper, data transmission and receiving between the program that is implemented in C language as CAN communication method that is strong against noise and used in power electronics application field variously and LabVIEW based program are explained. And, the design of LabVIEW based CAN communication program, data analysis and GUI screen composition that is convenient for monitoring are shown.

Development of a Tractive Performance Prediction Program of Tractors (트랙터의 견인성능 예측 프로그램 개발)

  • In this study, we developed a simulation program for the prediction of tractive performance of a tractor, by applying a widely used empirical model for tractive performance prediction of single tire, Brixius. The tractive performance prediction program can readily predict and estimate tractive performance according to various soil conditions and different specifications of tractors. The program was developed with the considerations of tractor's specification-related parameters (e.g., weight, tire size, and wheelbase of the tractor), a soil parameter (i.e., cone index which represents the soil strength), and operating conditions of the tractor (e.g., theoretical speed and driving types such as 2WD and 4WD). Also, the program was designed to provide tractive performance prediction results of tractors such as gross traction, motion resistance, net traction, and tractive efficiency, in the form of not only numerical values but also graphical visualization. To evaluate the feasibility of the program, we input three different soil conditions (which have different cone indexes each other) and tractor operating conditions to the program and analyzed the tractive performance from each input condition. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the developed program can be effectively utilized to predict the tractive performance under various soil conditions and driving types of tractors with different specifications.

Development of Contig Assembly Program for Nucleotide Sequencing (염기서열 해독작업을 위한 핵산 단편 조립 프로그램의 개발)

  • An effective computer program for assembling fragments in DNA sequencing has been developed. The program, called SeqEditor (Sequence Editor), is usable on the pcrsonal computer systems of MS-Widows which is the mosl popular operating system in Korea. It c'm recd several sequence file formats such as GenBak, FASTA, and ASCII. In the SeqEditor program, a dynamic programming algorihm is applied to compute the maximalscoring overlapping alignment between each pjlr of fragments. A novel feature of the program is that SeqEdilor implemnents interaclive operation with a graphical user interface. The performance lests of the prograln 011 fragmen1 data from 16s and 18s rDNA sequencing pi-ojects produced saiisIactory results. This program may be useful to a person who has work of time with large-scale DNA sequencing projects.
