  • In case of analysis of discrete data, it shows by way of example orthogonal array experiment for o, 1 data. This paper introduced expirical logit transformation and the type of Freeman-Tukey inverse sine transformation. As the result of analysis of variance, empirical logit transformation turned out a mistake in application but it is possible for graphical analysis by normal probability paper.

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest the problems of basic population data(1960-2005) and the data(2006-2050) of population projections reported by Korean National Statistical Office in November 2006. The errors on the basic population data can be easily checked by using the graphical analysis and the method of linear regression analysis. It is necessary to revise the population projections reported by Korean National Statistical Office.

  • Ranked data are widely used in the area of social sciences, for instance in polls and preference surveys, in which a number of objects (or stimuli) are evaluted and ranked by a panel of judges (or subject) according to their preference. We propose a graphical method for ranked data by quantifying objects and judges. In a plot for judges, the interpoint distances can be interpreted as Spearman or Kendall distance between two rankings given by respective judges. Similarly, we also construct a plot for objects with a sensible relationship to the previous plot for judges.

  • 유기물 탈수 공정에 적용되는 투과증발 시스템을 설계하기 위한 투과증발 시스템 모사기가 개발되었다. 모사기는 시스템 모델링 및 수치 해석 알고리즘과 관련된 simulation engine과 모사기를 Windows 환경에서 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 한 Graphical User Interface(GUI)로 구성되었다. 모사기 구조 및 사용 방법 등을 실규모 에탄올 탈수 공정 모사를 통하여 구체적으로 설명하였으며, 모사 결과를 실제 에탄올 탈수 Pilot test에 의한 실험 결과와 비교함으로써 모사기 성능이 우수함을 입증하였다.

  • The Graphical User Interface (GUI) software is developed for 0.3 Tesla Permanent Magnet Resonance Imaging (MRI) system and the state of art of designing GUI system is discussed in this paper. The Object-Oriented concepts are applied for designing GUI software utilizing Interbase ODBC Database layer. Also, Multimedia concepts such as voice, sound and music are integrated in GUI system to enhance the efficiency of MRI operation.

  • In this paper a computer program has been developed using IT technologies for load flow analysis. The program is written in the Java language for the platform and operating system independence. The software technique, such as Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT), Graphical Editing Framework (GEF), and Java web start, are used for the program. The program also has Graphical User Interface (GUI) to enable users to construct power system displays through simple mouse clicks and map directly into visual power system elements on the screen. The input data of the elements of power system can be entered on the screen. The results of the program cail be checked on the screen.

도시 전자파 잡음 스펙트럼의 통계적 분석에 관한 연구 (Statistical Analysis of Radio Frequency Noise Spectrum in Urban Areas)

  • 주파수 30 MHz-18 GHz에서의 무선 주파수 도시잡음 측정이 1994년과 1995년에 걸쳐, 전국 21개 도시에서 실시되었다. 각각의 지역에 대해 계절별, 또한 주.야로 실시된 측정 데이터를 분석하였으며, 그 분석 방법으로 APD,NAD, ACR 둥과 같은 통계적 분석 방법을 선택하였다. GUI (Graphical User Interface) 프로그램을 이용한 컴퓨터 분석 결과, 봄, 여름, 겨울의 도시 잡음은 약간의 차이를 보이는 반면, 가을에는 다른 계절에 비해 다소 높게 나타났으며, 또한 야간의 잡음레벨이 주간보다 높게 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In order to identify proteins that are present in biological samples, these samples are separated and analyzed under the sequential procedure as follows: protein purification and digestion, peptide fragmentation by tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) which breaks peptides into fragments, peptide identification, and protein identification. One of the widely used methods for protein identification is based on probabilistic approaches such as ProteinProphet and BaysPro. However, they do not consider the difference in peptide identification probabilities according to their length. Here, we propose a probabilistic graphical model-based approach to protein identification from MS/MS data considering peptide identification probabilities, number of sibling peptides, and peptide length. We compared our approach with ProteinProphet using a yeast MS/MS dataset. As a result, our model identified 27 more proteins than ProteinProphet at 1% of FDR (false discovery rate), confirming the importance of peptide length information in protein identification.
