Quality Measurement of Rice - Mixture Extrudate by the Response Surface Regression Analysis (반응표면분석에 의한 쌀 압출성형물의 품질평가)

  • The study was designed to investigate overall acceptability of rice extrudate with added ginseng flour extruded by single screw extruder. Graphic three dimension analysis on response surface regression was conducted for overall acceptability evaluated by balanced incomplete block design. Overall acceptability, which formed a saddle point, increased as moisture content increased at lower die temperature, and as moisture content decreased at higher die temperature. Critical values of each variable which indicated optimum response are 5.0% ginseng content, 17.8% moisture content and 104.6$^{\circ}C$ die temperature, and optimum inferred score of overall acceptability is 59.6 and 90.   • A post-processing program based on the OOP(Object-Oriented Programming) concept has been developed for flow visualization of the flow analysis code(PowerCFD) using unstructured cell-centered method. User-friendly GUI(GTaphic User Interface) has been built on the base of MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class). The program is organized as modules by classes including those based on VTK(Visualization ToolKit)-library, and these classes are made to function through inheritance and cooperation which is an important and valuable OOP concept. The major functions of this post-processor program are introduced and demonstrated, which include mesh plot, contour plot, vector plot, surface plots, cut plot, clip plot, xy-plot and streamline plot as well as view manipulation (translation, rotation, scaling etc).

  • This article has compared the level of activities of occupational safety and health in workplace among sub-sectors of manufacturing industry in order to set the priority for policy intervention. Data of manufacturing industry in the survey on the current status of occupational safety and health was used with factor analysis and radar graphic method. Authors have categorized sub-sectors of manufacturing industry into four categories, attained group, active group, neglected group, and passive group based on injury rate, level of safety and health activities. The neglected group may be the first target group for occupational safety and health policy guiding some detailed occupational safety and health activities. Limitation of this study is that cross sectional data was analyzed. The long term effect could not be analyzed.

  • The probability of visual perception occurrence varies in case the expectation of using each unit space of which the whole space consists because the size of space subject to analysis is very large or the organization is complicated in the analysis of spatial visual configuration. Therefore, it is necessary to compensate space analysis and index measurement by applying weight to the point of view for the probability of experiencing space. This study proposed a method of analyzing visibility ratio by applying the integration of space syntax theory as weight, and grasped the effect in comparison with the visibility ratio when weight was not applied.

  • With the development of data analysis methods and data processing capabilities, semantic analysis of floorplans has been actively studied. Therefore, studies for extracting text information from drawings have been conducted for semantic analysis. However, existing research that separates rasterized text from floorplan has the problem of loss of text information, because when graphic and text components overlap, text information cannot be extracted. To solve this problem, this study defines the morphological characteristics of the text in the floorplan, and classifies the class of the corresponding region by applying the class of the SIFT key points through the SVM models. The algorithm developed in this study separated text components with a recall of 94.3% in five sample drawings.

This paper handling result data by Object Oriented Database(OODB) because OODB has advantages abut flexibleness and recycling. Besides this paper presents fault analysis program by Graphic User Interface(GUI) to understand easily program using method.

  • Constructing a geo-spatial database of Graphic Information Systems(GIS) in various applications is suffering from the difficulty of data acquisition, which is labor-intensive and time consuming. In order to provide the spatial data rapidly and accurately, 4S-Van, a prototype mobile mapping system, has been developed. This paper presents a novel approach for an analysis for Mobile Mapping Systems. Furthermore, we discuss the accuracy of measurements using images acquired from the 4S-Van. The first part of this paper introduces accuracies of other mobile mapping systems. Then, we describe main features of the 4S-Van and our proposed method for an analysis accuracies, which can be applicable to other mobile mapping systems. The last part of paper concludes with a summary and our suggestions for implementation of mobile mapping system.

  • In the late 1970s, the method of quantitative and scientific space structural analysis based on graph theory was introduced to the process of space design, which arranges design and functional elements, as relying heavily on intuition could produce errors due to unverified experiences and prejudices of the designer. As the method of space analysis is complex and hard to express visually and requires repetitive operations, it was discussed theoretically only. However, with the development of computer performance and graphic in recent years, visualization became possible. But the method of visual structural analysis of space is at the level of two dimensions and it is not easy to get accurate data when it is applied to limited three dimensional space such as an interior space. For the visual structural analysis of space, this study presents 4 indices including visibility volume level, pure visibility connection frequency, effective visibility connection frequency, and path visibility connection frequency. This study also presents space division using three dimensional arrangement rather than the existing vector operation method and raytracing algorithm at the lattice constant. Based on this, an analysis tool for the visible regions of three dimensional space that is capable of evaluating at multiple points by using three dimensional game engine and presentation tool that allows the analyzer to interpret the data effectively is made. It is applied to 2 prototype models by displacing Z axis, and the results are compared with UCL Depthmap to verify the validity of data and evaluate its usefulness as a multidimensional, multi-view space analysis tool.

  • The present paper shows a new non-tensorial approach to derive basic equations for various structural analyses. It can be used directly in numerical computation procedures. The aim of the paper is, however, to show that the approach serves as an excellent tool for analytical purposes also, working as a link between analytical and numerical techniques. The paper gives a method to derive, at first, expressions for strains in general beam and shell analyses, and secondly, the governing equilibrium equations. The approach is based on the utilization of local fixed Cartesian coordinate systems. Applying these, all the definitions required are the simple basic ones, well-known from the analyses in common global coordinates. In addition, the familiar principle of virtual work has been adopted. The method will be, apparently, most powerful in teaching the theories of curved beam and shell structures for students not familiar with tensor analysis. The final results obtained have no novelty value in themselves, but the procedure developed opens through its systematic and graphic progress a new standpoint to theoretical considerations.

  • In order to analyze the characteristics of complicated TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display) circuits, it is indispensible to use simulation programs. In this study, we present a systematic method of extracting the input parameters of poly-Si TFT for Spice simulation. This method is applied to two different types of poly-Si TFTs fabricated in our group with good results. Among the Spice simulators, Pspice has the graphic user interface feature making the composition of complicated circuits easier. We added successfully a poly-Si TFT model on the Pspice simulator, which would contribute to efficient simulations of poly-Si TFT-LCD pixels and arrays.
