With the advent of smart age, the concern on smart work has gradually increased in the situation that creative innovation capability has become one of the important elements in business competitiveness. Most domestic small and medium-sized businesses have partly introduced smart work system due to the lack of its recognition and understanding about a specific method to implement. Under the environment, it is essential to make standardization strategy and do systematic implementation for core technology which leads global market in order to secure the dominant position in smart work related technologies. Therefore, this paper suggests standardization items which lead global standard and implementation direction on standardization through analysing the current situation introducing smart work in small and medium-sized business and technology/standardization trends.

Recently, because of the global recession of the offshore plant industry and low-cost orders, there has been increasing interest in strengthening the competitiveness of domestic companies for the design and production technologies of offshore plants. However, in the offshore plant design field, the Plant Design Management System (PDMS), which is a 3D CAD program for plant layout developed by AVEVA Marine, is already commonly used as offshore plant design software and widely used in large domestic shipyards and cooperative design companies. Under this background, we have been thinking about ways to design better with the existing software. In this study, we developed a parametric design program to maximize the efficiency and reduce the working time for offshore plant electrical outfit production design based on the Programmable Macro Language (PML) of PDMS. We also examined its performance. By applying the developed program to the offshore plant module selected as an application example, it was confirmed that a 50% improvement in the work efficiency of cable tray design could be obtained compared with the existing method, with work efficiency improvements of 80% or more in other field design work.

MMORPG game is an industry that is growing fast through COVID-19. This study confirmed the factors that influence the self-character identification and social relation internalization of MMORPG games and identified the factors that affect the intention to purchase items and the intention to continue play. According to the PLS analysis, the influence of the character characteristics and social characteristics of MMORPG on self-character identification and game commitment was significantly confirmed. In addition, the relationships between these mediating variables and user behavior were tested. The results of this study suggested the importance of researching MMORPGs' game characters and could be used to improve the competitiveness of MMORPG game companies.

The research purpose of this paper is to empirically examine the effects of technological readiness and innovation on logistics performance. To build up and maintain an important role in global supply chains, nowadays it is obvious that countries and logistics providers need to achieve competitive advantage in terms of digitalization. However, there is a lack of empirical studies about the impacts of information technologies and innovation potential on the logistics efficiency of countries. Hence, the study analyzes whether the corresponding pillars of the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) matter for the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) and its dimensions. For determining the effects, the pooled regression approach is applied. The results show that technological readiness and innovation are positively and statistically significantly correlated with logistics performance: competence and quality of logistics services, efficiency of customs clearance processes, ability to track and trace consignments, frequency with which shipments reach consignee within scheduled or expected time, and ease of arranging competitively priced shipments. The findings of this study suggest that investments in innovations and technology progress improve countries' logistics efficiency, which is an important prerequisite for enabling Logistics 4.0 and thus, Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation of the economy and society.

In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, interest in flexible devices is increasing for information and communication technology electronic products. This is a hot technology field in which competition is intensifying to preoccupy the global market for flexible electronic devices because of the many advantages of ultra-lightweight, flexibility, design diversity, high applicability, and low cost. Some flexible electronic products have been commercialized in Korea, but they are still inadequate in terms of price versus performance, so technology development is required continuously. Particularly, the development of flexible electronic materials is emerging as a key factor for flexible electronic device applications. In this study, we will look into the flexible electronic material technology and industry trends following the trend of flexible technology changes in the display, secondary battery, and solar cell, which has emerged as national core industry and has secured global competitiveness. In addition, I want to introduce the Flexible Electronic Material Center, which was established to foster the flexible electronic material industry.

Due in large part to the success of 'Korean Wave' (Hallyu) entertainment commodities, there was much discussion concerning the increasing recognition of Korean culture. With the government's help, South Korean pop culture has spread all over the globe, and Korean businesses have flourished thanks to their global competitiveness. The media in the surrounding areas were quick to catch on, and they all but declared the arrival of Hallyu. Despite a tragic and brutal history of invasions, wars, and dictatorships, South Korea has the 14th largest economy and is the 15th most significant country in terms of soft power. This is largely attributable to the country's leadership in technological and cultural revolutions. The enormous economic and political gains South Korea has experienced from its Hallyu phenomenon remain impressive and even threatening to other countries competing with it for cultural dominance. This is even though media figures in the country must constantly keep in mind new ways to maintain relevance and even enhance their favorability, as pop culture trends are transient and sometimes unpredictable. As South Korean culture spread to the West, Hallyu facilitated the export of several cultural artifacts, including classical music, theater, art, literature, and dance. The Baby Shark music video and song were both created by the Korean business Pink Fong.

The Global RE100 campaign is a one of the voluntary campaign, but it has a lot of influence on domestic companies that have not yet joined the Global RE100. Accordingly, the Korean government introduced the Korean RE100 (K-RE100) system to prepare an institutional mechanism for domestic companies to respond to RE100. However, in Korea, due to the high LCOE of renewable energy and institutional limitations of the power transaction system, there is a limit for companies to implement RE100 in various ways. Therefore, in this study, the implementation cost of RE100 for green tariff, REC purchase, third-party PPA, direct(or corporate) PPA, and self-generation was compared and analyzed to derive the order of implementation with the net present value (NPV) of costs incurred over 20 years. As a result, self-construction was analyzed as the most economical method, but the implementation through the green tariff seemed to be the most realistic implementation method so far. However, considering the gradually falling LCOE, third-party PPA and direct PPA could be secured competitiveness against green tariff in 2025 and 2026. Then it could allow the companies to have various portfolios for implementation of RE100.

The travelling salesman problem (TSP) is an important combinatorial optimization problem that is used in several engineering science branches and has drawn interest to several researchers and scientists. In this problem, a salesman from an arbitrary node, called the warehouse, starts moving and returns to the warehouse after visiting n clients, given that each client is visited only once. The objective in this problem is to find the route with the least cost to the salesman. In this study, a meta-based ant colony system algorithm (ACSA) is suggested to find solution to the TSP that does not use local pheromone update. This algorithm uses the global pheromone update and new heuristic information. Further, pheromone evaporation coefficients are used in search space of the problem as diversification. This modification allows the algorithm to escape local optimization points as much as possible. In addition, 3-opt local search is used as an intensification mechanism for more quality. The effectiveness of the suggested algorithm is assessed on a several standard problem instances. The results show the power of the suggested algorithm which could find quality solutions with a small gap, between obtained solution and optimal solution, of 1%. Additionally, the results in contrast with other algorithms show the appropriate quality of competitiveness of our proposed ACSA.

With the advent of the '4th Industrial Revolution', digitalization using AI (Artificial Intelligence), big data, IoT (Internet of Things), cloud computing and mobile is accelerating across all industries and global companies have fundamentally reorganized customer experiences, business models, and operations centering on digital transformation. Business innovation drives productivity improvement, process simplification, price, competitiveness and sustainable expansion. Whether digital transformation will be necessary for the current industrial environment is no longer important, and how quickly companies achieve digitalization has emerged as the utmost crucial element in industrial continuity. As non-face-to-face and remote technologies have begun in earnest, and accelerated in the pharmaceutical industry. They are looking for ways to provide value, generate profits, improve efficiency, and sustain the future. Compared to other industries, the pharmaceutical-related sectors have shown high interest in digital transformation especially to reduce costs and meet the challenge of delivering products during the pandemic environment.

Recently, advancement of AI-enabled autonomous MUM-T combat system and industrial revitalization are rapidly emerging as global issues. However, the Defense Business Act of the Ministry of National Defense in Korea is judged to be somewhat insufficient compared to NATO leading countries in advancement of operation part of a weapon system as MUM-T is centered on a weapon system's own device. We established the concept of AI-enabled autonomous MUM-T to strengthen international competitiveness of complex combat systems such as future global UGV, UAV, and UMS. In addition, NATO and US-centered autonomy, interoperability, and data standardization-based defense AI MUM-T top-level platform construction and operation plan, establishment of a national defense innovation committee such as the National Science and Technology Advisory Council, review and advisory function reinforcement, and additional governance measures are proposed.
