In this paper, we propose new methods which is to determine level of noise factor. Even Taguchi give level of noise factor which is best(or maximum) and worst(or minimum) condition, we give level of noise factor which is representative value by observing noise factor frequency. Sometimes level of noise factor is given one, two and three. We know this method is more fit in real fields.

The rainfall estimates give sufficiently accurate information to map areas which have received the minimum rainfall necessary for outbreaks of pests such as locusts, thus cutting down the cost of searching for likely outbreak sites. At the other end of the scale, satellite rainfall estimates can be used to give timely warnings of changes in river levels and the likelihood of floods in large river catchments.(omitted)

Carpogonia, spermatangia and carposporangia are demonstrated for North Atlantic plants of Audouinella alariae (Jonsson) Woelkerling for the first time. The plants are monoecious. Carpogonia are terminal on short branches and give rise to short trichogynes laterally. Spermatangia are usually borne in pairs on the supporting cells of carpogonia. Fertilized carpogonia give rise to 3-4 carposporangia. Morphology of sexual reproductive structures and postfertilization development provide characteristics for distinguishing A. alariae from A. rhipidandra (Rosenvinge) Dixon, which were previously synonymized.

In this paper, we give some common fixed point theorems for compatible mappings in metric spaces, and also give an example to illustrate our main theorems. Our results extend the results of S. M. Kang, Y. J. Cho and G. Jungck [9].

In this paper, we give an algorithm to construct a space curve in Euclidean 3-space ${\mathbb{E}}^3$ from a plane curve which is called PDP-helix of order d. The notion of the PDP-helices is a generalization of a general helix and a slant helix in ${\mathbb{E}}^3$. It is naturally shown that the PDP-helix of order 1 and order 2 are the same as the general helix and the slant helix, respectively. We give a characterization of the PDP-helix of order d. Moreover, we study some geometric properties of that of order 3.

The CFHT currently has three instruments running in QSO mode and one in Classical mode. I will touch on the capabilities of these instruments and give an update on the future instrumentation at CFHT. One new instrument, SITELLE, is scheduled to be delivered to CFHT at the end of the year. Another instrument which is a proof of concept is GRACES which should see first light during the summer. I will also give an update on the Dome Venting project and the Next generation CFHT.

This paper presents an LMI-based method to design an output feedback integral sliding mode controller for a class of uncertain systems. Using LMIs we derive an existence condition of a sliding surface. And we give a switching feedback control law. Finally, we give a numerical design example in order to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this paper, we present a preconditioned iterative method for solving linear systems Ax = b, where A is a Z-matrix. We give some comparison theorems to show that the rate of convergence of the new preconditioned iterative method is faster than the rate of convergence of the previous preconditioned iterative method. Finally, we give one numerical example to show that our results are true.

The 6,6-dibromopenam (6) was treated with CH3MgBr and carbaldehyde 5 to afford the hydroxy compound 7, which was reacted with acetic anhydride to give acetoxy compound 8. The deacetobromination of 8 with zinc and acetic acid gave 6-exomethylenepenams, E-isomer 10 and Z-isomer 9, which was oxidized to sulfone 11 by m-CPBA. The p-methoxybenzyl compounds were deprotected by AlCl3 and neutralized to give the sodium salts 12, 13, and 14.

This paper presents an LMI-based method to design a reduced order observer based sliding mode controller for a class of uncertain systems. Using LMIs we derive an existence condition of a reduced order observer and a sliding mode control law. And we give explicit formulas of the gain matrices. Finally, we give a numerical design example, together with a design algorithm.
