In this paper, when the variance of the normal distribution is related to the mean, we develop noninformative priors such as matching priors and reference priors. We prove that the second order matching prior matches alternative coverage probabilities up to the same order and also it is a HPD matching prior. It turns out that one-at-a-time reference prior satisfies a second order matching criterion. Then using these noninformative priors, we develop a Bayesian test procedure for the equality of the means and variances of two independent normal distributions using fractional Bayes factor. Some simulation study is performed, and a real data example is also provided.

In this paper, we develop the noninformative priors when the parameter of interest is the common coefficient of variation in two inverse Gaussian distributions. We want to develop the first and second order probability matching priors. But we prove that the second order probability matching prior does not exist. It turns out that the one-at-a-time and two group reference priors satisfy the first order matching criterion but Jeffreys' prior does not. The Bayesian credible intervals based on the one-at-a-time reference prior meet the frequentist target coverage probabilities much better than that of Jeffreys' prior. Some simulations are given.

Four isoflavones including tectorigenin (1), irisflorentin (2), irigenin (3), and tectoridin (4) have been isolated from the 70% EtOH extract of Belamcanda chinensis rhizome. The evaluation for protective effect of compounds 1-4 against glutamate-induced cytotoxicity in hippocampal HT22 cell line was conducted. Compound 1 showed significant protective effect with an EC$_{50}$ value of 67.25 ${\pm}$ 1.2 ${\mu}$M, whereas compounds 2-4 were inactive. These results suggest that compound 1 may possess the neuroprotective activity against oxidative cellular injures.

수자원사업에 따른 수질개선편익은 사업으로 인해 저감되는 오염원의 양을 예측하고, 그에 따른 수질개선효과를 계량화한 값이며, 이는 곧 해당사업의 가치로써 정의된다. 이러한 수질개선편익을 산정하기 위한 방법에는 개인의 지불의사를 추정하여 가치를 추정하는 조건부가치측정법(CVM)과 해당 사업에 따른 효과를 기술적 방식으로 대체할 때 소요되는 비용을 시행사업의 가치로 평가하는 방식인 대체비용법을 들 수 있다. 현재 조건부가치측정법은 다양한 분야의 사업에 대한 가치추정법으로 널리 쓰이고 있으나, 해당사업의 가치에 대한 공학적이고 직관적인 해답을 줄 수 있는 대체비용법의 적용성은 아직까지 미미한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 수질개선편익을 중심으로 대체비용법의 분석절차와 적용성을 확인하고자 하였고, 이에 대한 사례연구로서 댐증고사업을 대상으로 하였다. 수질개선편익과 같이 환경적 질을 높이는 사업은 대상사업의 가치를 추정하는 데 많은 어려움이 있으며, 기존에 주로 사용된 조건부가치측정법과 더불어 대체비용법을 이용한 검토는 보다 객관적인 의사결정을 지원하는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 판단된다.

최근의 치수계획은 과거 제방일변도의 획일화된 치수계획에서 탈피하여 면 개념의 다양한 치수대안을 고려하고 있다. 본 연구는 과거 홍수피해 예방을 위해 일차적으로 고려된 제방사업과 이의 대안으로서 계획빈도의 홍수발생 시 잠재적 피해예상지역에 대한 주민이주사업을 비교하여 제방사업이 갖는 정책적 효용을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 제방이 없다고 가정한 CASE I과 현 상태를 기준으로 한 CASE II로 구분하여 제방보축사업과 제방신축사업을 비교대안인 주민이주사업과 비교 평가 하였으며, 사례연구는 낙동강 본류의 황강 합류후부터 남강 합류전까지 구간을 대상으로 하였다. 제방신축사업과 보축사업에 대한 각각의 주민이주사업의 비용 대비 효과를 사례지역에 한정적으로 분석한 결과, 경제성 측면에서 주민이주사업이 전반적으로 제방사업보다 유리한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 지역적 특수성을 전제한 결론이나, 향후 치수관리를 위한 정책수립의 대상이 '하천' 보다는 '지역'에 맞추어 져야 한다는 것을 시사한다.

In 1990, a retrospective examination of histologic data determined that 23 histology accessions at the Miwon Institute of Animal Science had a diagnosis of crytosporidiosis. These cases presented 10% of the 230 histologic examinations of broiler chicks of 23 cases, 18 cases were respiratory infection and 5 cases were bursal infection. The histologic findings of respiratory cryptosporidiosis were hyperplasia of mucosa epithelial cell, slightly swelling of epithelial cells, deciliation of tracheal epithelium, distribution of cryptosporidium organisms in epithelial surface of trachea and infiltration of plasma cells and lymphocytes in mucosa propria layer in trachea.

To investigate the technology trends in organic farming using patent analysis, total 1,026 patents in organic farming in Australia, EU, Japan, Korea and USA between 1974 and 2014 were analyzed. The number of the patents applied in organic farming was largest in Korea, followed by Japan and the USA. Since 2000, the patent application in Korea and USA increased drastically, while in Japan the patents in organic farming were applied steadily in the late 1980s. The applied patents in organic farming were mainly dominated in the field of organic production technology (AA) especially in Korea, while those in environmental assessment were merely applied. Most patent appliers were biased to private applier (80%) than national institutes including university. With this study, it is highly recommended that national interests and R&D on the organic farming fields are needed to meet the food safety.

본 논문은 기존의 수동으로 높이 조절만 가능한 단순 의자를 탈피하여 자라나는 아이의 신장과 체형에 맞게 의자 높이를 자동으로 조절해주는 스마트 의자를 제안한다. 본 논문의 주요 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초음파센서와 무게센서를 사용하여 아이의 신장과 체중을 측정함으로써 신체에 맞게 자동으로 의자의 각도와 높낮이를 조절해준다. 둘째, 센서를 통해 실시간으로 데이터를 수집하여 App 화면에 건강 상태를 보여주고 아이 등급표와 비교하여 아이의 성장률을 가시적으로 보여준다. 셋째, 압력 센서를 이용하여 아이의 자세 상태를 보여주고 App 알림과 데이터 분석으로 아이의 자세 교정에 도움을 준다. 넷째, 신호를 전달하면 지정된 자리로 의자가 자동으로 이동하는 기능을 제공한다. 제안된 시스템은 IoT 기술을 접목함으로써 성장이 빠른 영유아를 키우는 가정을 대상으로 의자 교체에 필요한 비용 절감 효과와 바쁜 현대인들을 위해 아이의 건강관리를 보다 효율적으로 돕는 것을 목표로 한다.

A simple and inexpensive colorimetric spectrometer for determining total cholesterol has been developed,comprising a diode laser as the light sourcoptical fibers for the light guide and a photodiode as the detector.The stabilty and performance of the new system was investigated by obtaining the calibration curve for stan-dard cholesterol solutions. The total cholesterol in humanserum was also measured by the analyzer and com-pared with the value obtained by a conventional spectrometer. The results showed that the developed spectrometer was useful for the determination of cholesterol levels. The visible diodelaser used in the study exhibited good spectroscopic and operational properties for colorimetric absorption spectrometry and could be a key component for the development of a simple and economical analyzer.
