  • Research studies of Qigong therapy for cure for the past 20 years were reviewed from three different categories: clinical study on human patients, in-vitro study of abnormal cells, and in-vivo study of abnormal cell with Qigong therapy, in an attempt to understand the role Qigong therapy plays in many kinds of disease. There is a lot of evidence suggesting that Qigong therapy has an inhibitory effect on abnormal cell growth, both in vitro and in vivo studies, as well as in clinical observation (often there was room for improvement in these studies and some studies require replication in order to verify their findings). Qigong therapy is an area that is often neglected by mainstream medicine and research, and it should be seriously examined and considered as an important supplement to conventional treatment.

Methods : 5 female patients who had a hysterectomy within a year were treated with Korean Medicine concluding acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping therapy, herbal bath. We evaluated the thermographic differences by checking Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging(D.I.T.I.) at CV17(膻中), CV4(關元), ST3(巨髎), BL15(心兪), and BL23(腎兪). Results : In consequence of Korean Medicine Treatment for 3 weeks, thermographic differences between CV17(膻中) and CV4(關元), ST3(巨髎) and CV4(關元), BL15(心兪), and BL23(腎兪) tended to decrease. Conclusion : After Korean Medicine treatment, thermographic differences between upper body and lower body tended to decrease cause shangrexiahanzheng(上熱下寒證) made by hysterectomy became moderated.

People who agreed to take Walking treatment were classified into experimental group and control group. Both experimental group and control group were treated with Korean medicine. In addition, experimental group performed Walking program more often. Changes of temperature difference taken by digital infrared thermal imaging(DITI) were used as measuring tools. The summary of this study's result is as in the following. There was significant difference in the experimental group which performed Walking treatments but not in the control group resulting from examining the change of temperature difference between left and right Yongchon. As known from the results above, Walking program is meaningful in curing the low back pain.

  • Objects : The purpose of this study is to value measuring of sagital, horizontal, frontal aspects of DITI as scale of low back pain. Methods : We investigated 16 patients with low back pain who had visited in the H Korean medicine hospital in Gimpo city, Gyeonggi Province from January 1st to, August 31th, 2016. We evaluated the change of them by using Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging. Results : There is meaningful differences in values for CV12 in pretest and posttest which were observed by DITI. In the Correlation analysis of values of meridian points in pretest and posttest, there is relation ΔSagital04(ST25/BL52), ΔSagital04(CV4/GV3) with low back pain. Conclusions : These results suggest that ΔSagital04(ST25/BL52), ΔSagital04(CV4/GV3) can be used as value of Low back pain.
