Optimum Design of Prestressed Precast Gerber-U Beams (프리스트레스트 프리캐스트 게르버 U형보의 최적설계)

  • The cost on transmission and election of precast concrete members largely depends on the weight of them. In this study, the weight of prestressed precast beam could be reduced by control the section and prestressing force to meet the required strength on the basis of the optimum process. The top and bottom concrete stress of the section considered is required to check according to each construction step for this process. The original rectangular beam weight could be reduced up to 50~39% due to the development of a U-beams from the optimum process.

  • A substructural model for a part of a long continuous bridge is identified using measured acceleration at limited locations within the part. Boundary spring constants and structural properties are idenfitied using a system identification method. The proposed method has been examined through simulation studies for static and dynamic responses and the results are discussed in the paper. The method is applied to an actual plate-girder gerber bridge with modal response obtained from a moving truck and construction blasting vibration

  • Recently, for the purpose of reducing work terms and improving performance for construction work, various methods in structure field were developed. This included the HRC system which is applicable to a typical structure (e.g., parking and office building). The HRC system introduced the Gerber Joint to raise structural efficiency and used connection plate to bolt HRC composite beam to H beam in the construction field. In this research, the experimental tests for six specimens, which were in the same field conditions, were conducted with several parameters such as the length and height of the connection plate and the number of stub bolts. The test result was compared with those made by current design codes for the deflection and strains of the main bar. Within the given load, the integration of concrete in beam and connection plate, welded with stud bolts, was verified.

A Study on the Design of Small SMT Platform for Education (교육용 소형 SMT 플랫폼 설계에 관한 연구)

  • This paper designed and manufactured a chip mounter based on 3D printer technology that can be used for educational research or sample production to disseminate chip mounter, a core technology of SMT line. A stepper motor with open loop control is used for low cost drive design. The shortcomings of the motor's vibration and disassembly caused by the use of the step motor were compensated by the Micro-Step control method. In the chip mounter experiment, the gerber file was generated on the small chip mounter, printed at the actual size, and the solder cream was printed on the HASL-treated PCB in the same manner as the sample board fabrication. As a result of the experiment, unlike the 2012 micro components, parts such as SOIC and TQFP that require correction are twice as long as the component mounting time, but it can be confirmed that they are mounted relatively accurately. In addition, as a result of repeatedly measuring the error of the initial position 10 times, it was confirmed that a relatively small error of about 0.110mm occurs.

  • 이 연구는 게르버 보 형식의 포스트텐션 PC 골조 구조 시스템의 실용화를 위해 골조 전체의 구조 성능 시험을 수행하며, 여기서 보-기둥 접합부 및 내민 보-단순 보 접합부의 구조 성능과 골조의 안전성을 확인한다. 시험은 400 mm$\times$800 mm 단면의 경간 3 m 보와 500 mm$\times$600 mm 단면을 갖는 높이 3 m 기둥의 실물 크기 시험체를 제작하여, 기둥에 80 톤의 축 하중을 준 상태에서 단순 보 중앙에 하중을 가력하여 기둥-보 접합부와 단순 보-내민 보 단면 축소 연결부의 구조성능을 파악한다. 시험 결과, 보 - 기둥 접합부는 예상 설계 하중 40톤 이상에서도 강 접합에 가깝게 거동하였고, 단순 보- 내민 보의 단면 축소 연결부는 경사철근의 사용으로 초기 균열 및 균열 확산에 대한 억제 효과가 있었으며, 예상 설계 전단력 40톤에서 안전하다는 것이 확인되었다.

Number Plate Detection with a Multi-Convolutional Neural Network Approach with Optical Character Recognition for Mobile Devices

  • In this paper, we propose a method to achieve improved number plate detection for mobile devices by applying a multiple convolutional neural network (CNN) approach. First, we processed supervised CNN-verified car detection and then we applied the detected car regions to the next supervised CNN-verifier for number plate detection. In the final step, the detected number plate regions were verified through optical character recognition by another CNN-verifier. Since mobile devices are limited in computation power, we are proposing a fast method to recognize number plates. We expect for it to be used in the field of intelligent transportation systems.

  • In this study, numerical investigations of the tip clearance flow characteristics of a pumpjet propulsor based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method have been presented. The Zwart-Gerber-Belamri (Z-G-B) cavitation model based on Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) method is employed. The structured gird is applied. The formation and development of the tip clearance flows has been investigated and presented. The structure of the tip leakage vortex has been shown. The radial distributions of different velocity components with different Span along the axial direction have been carried out to present the influence of the tip clearance flow on the main flow. In addition, the influences of the tip clearance size on the pumpjet propulsor performance, including the impact on the velocity flow fields and the cavitation characteristic, have been presented.

  • This study was designed for automated pattern drawing and grading a man's Durumagi, Korean traditional coat in order to reestablished and grade the pattern by Apparel CAD SYSTEM. For the study, AM-250 systems of Gerber as the computer and Macro program as the automated drawing were used. Also, PDS(Pattern Design System) was used for the grading of the original Durumagi pattern. Results were followings; First, the size data that could be standardized by reestablishing the pattern of a man's Durumagi by each size was presented. Second, The pattern was developed by each size. Third, new design was propose for mass production with the traditional design of the DURUMAGI Fourth, The time for making DURUMAGI pattern and the cost through the automated drawings by using the Macro program were reduced. Moreover, was presented the basic data for a ready to made garment like the Western garment. Five, A man's DURUMAGI by CAD System was graded that could be applied to ready to made Hanbok

  • The overhead transmission wires operating both at warm temperature and tighten state for a long period of time in a power transmission plant are degraded by air pollution, wind, creep and slip between steel wire and aluminium conductor. The objective of this study is to investigate to investigate the characteristics of fatigue properties with tension and bending loading of a high carbon steel wire. The fatigue behaviors have been carried out by tension-tension, 4 points bending and 3 points bending loading. In the present study, a conventional fatigue strengths between 4 points bending and tension-tension fatigue were determined by Gerber, Sorderberg and Goodmans theory and we investigated S-N diagram for bending and tensile loading.

An Adaptive and Robust Inspection Algorithm of PCB Patterns Based on Movable Segments (동적 세그먼트 기반 PCB 패턴의 적응 검사 알고리즘)

  • Several methods for PCB pattern inspection have been tried to detect fine detects in pad contours, but their low detection accuracy results from pattern variations originating from etching, printing and handling processes. The adaptive inspection algorithm has been newly proposed to extract minute defects based on movable segments. With gerber master images of PCB, vertex extractions of a pad boundary are made and then a lot of segments are constructed in master data. The pad boundary is composed of segment units. The proposed method moves these segments to optimal directions of a pad boundary and so adaptively matches segments to pad contours of inspected images, irrespectively of various pattern variations. It makes a fast, accurate and reliable inspection of PCB patterns. Its performances are also evaluated with several images.
