In this paper, we introduce the notion of α-Geraghty contractive type covariant and contravariant mappings in the bipolar metric spaces. In addition, we prove some fixed point theorems, which give existence and uniqueness of fixed point, for α-Geraghty contractive type covariant and contravariant mappings in complete bipolar metric spaces. Finally, we show some examples to support our main results.

In this paper we suggest an enhanced Geraghty-type contractive mapping for examining the existence properties of classical nonlinear operators with or without prior degenerates. The nonlinear operators are proved to exist with the imposition of the Geraghty-type condition in a non-empty closed subset of complete metric spaces. To showcase some efficacies of the Geraghty-type condition, convergent rate and stability are deduced. The results are used to study some asymptotic properties of perturbed integral and hypergeometric operators. The results also extend and generalize some existing Geraghty-type conditions.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a class of contractive pairs of mappings satisfying a Zamfirescu-type inequality, but controlled with altering distance functions and with parameters satisfying the so-called Geraghty condition in the framework of b-metric spaces. For this class of mappings we prove the existence of points of coincidence, the convergence and stability of the Jungck, Jungck-Mann and Jungck-Ishikawa iterative processes and the existence and uniqueness of its common fixed points.

Matthews introduced the concepts of partial metric spaces and proved the Banach fixed point theorem in complete partial metric spaces. Dukic, Kadelburg, and Radenovic proved fixed point theorems for Geraghty-type mappings in complete partial metric spaces. In this paper, we prove the fixed point theorem for some contractive mapping in a complete partial metric space.
