Constructive merging of "basic" systems of different behavior creates hybrid systems. In doing so, the structural elements are grouped according to the behavior in carrying the load into a geometric order that provides sufficient load and structure functionality and optimization of the material consumption. Applicable in all materializations and logical geometric forms is a transparent system suitable for the optimization of load-bearing structures. Research by individual authors gave insight into suitable system constellations from the aspect of load capacity and the approximatemethod of estimating the participation of partialstiffnesswithin the rigidity ofthe hybrid system. The obtained terms will continue to be the basisfor our own research of the influence of variable parameters on the behavior of hybrid systemsformed of glued laminated girder and cable of different geometric shapes. Previous research has shown that by applying the strut-type hybrid systems can increase the load capacity and reduce the deformability ofthe free girder. The implemented parametric analysis pointsto the basic parameterin the behavior of these systems-the rigidity ofindividual elements and the overallstiffnessofthe system. The basic idea ofpre-stressing is that, in the load system or individual load-bearing element, prior to application of the exploitation load, artificially challenge the forcesthatshould optimize the finalsystembehaviorin the overall load. Pre-stressing is possible only if the supporting system orsystem's element possesssufficientstrength orstiffness, orreaction to the imposed forces of pre-stressing. In this paper will be presented own research of the relationship of partial stiffness of strut-type hybrid systemsofdifferentgeometric forms.Conducted parametric analysisofhybridsystemswithandwithoutpre-stressing, and on the example of the glulam-steel strut-type hybrid system under realistic conditions of change in the moisture content ofthe wooden girder, resulted in accurate expressions and diagramssuitable for application in practice.

The purpose of this study is to understand the formative characteristics of futuristic virtual fashion revealed in virtual fashion platforms targeting the human body. First, the current status of fashion in the metaverse and futurist fashion were reviewed and summarized by referring to prior research. Next, among the items posted on DRESSX, "futurism" was searched and those resturning a positive result were collected as research subjects. The characteristics were organized into design elements: colors, shapes, materials, and patterns. Futuristic aesthetic characteristics were derived from the characteristics of each design element. As a result, color showed the characteristics of achromatic, vivid and neon colors, multi-color and gradation, multi-color due to reflected light, and color conversion. As for the form, a body-concious look or exaggerated silhouettes, spatial expressions in geometric structures, forms imitating living things, and fluid silhouettes using clouds were prominent. Materials showed the digitization of universal clothing materials, application of industrial materials, use of metal materials, and unrealistic materials. In the patterns, geometric abstract patterns, patterns that reveal the digital world view, and moving fluid patterns appeared. The aesthetic characteristics of futurism in virtual fashion were revealed in four categories: visual dynamics, high-tech sensibility, variability, kineticisim. Visual dynamics were revealed in geometric forms, and intense neon colors. High-tech sensibility was prominent in the use of metal and industrial materials, light emission, and patterns of the digital world view. The expression of multiple colors by reflected light and the change showed the variability of futurism. The use of unrealistic materials, such as clouds and fire and fluid silhouettes expressed kineticisim. The infinite expressiveness of virtual fashion made it possible to actively express the aesthetic characteristics of futurism.

odel). One of important tasks for hydrological analysis is the division of watershed. It can be an essential factor amThe main objective of this study is to extract of the geometric characteristics of the Pyongchang River basin, headwaters of the South Ran River. A GIS is capable of extracting various hydrological factors from DEM(digital elevation mong various geometric characteristics of watershed. In this study, watershed itself and other geometric factors of watershed are extracted from DEM by using a GIS technique. The manual process of tasks to obtain geometric characteristics of watershed is automated. by using the function of ARC/INFO software as a GIS package. Scanned data is used for this study and it is converted to DEM data Various forms of representation of spatial data are handled in main modules and a GRID module of ARC/INFO. A GRID module is used on a stream in order to define watershed boundary, so it would be possible to obtain the watersheds. Also, a flowdirection, stream networks and others are generated. The results show that GIS can aid watershed management and research and surveillance. Also the geometric characteristics as parameters of watershed can be quantified by a using GIS technique. Resonable results can be obtained as compared with conventional graphic methods.
Fatalities from traffic accidents constitute one of the major health issues as well as safety ones in Korea. It has been reported that traffic accident is affected by the combined effects of road. vehicle. and human factors. Over the past few decades, a number of studies have been conducted to find the impact of road geometric factors on traffic safety. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of road geometric factors on traffic safety on Korean expressways. Detailed geometric design data were available from Korea Highway Corporation. Five-year traffic accident data on Honam expressway were collected and analyzed. It was found that following geometric factors influence traffic safety on expressways : radius of curve, curve length, and length of straight section. Furthermore, the existence of I.C. turned out to have a significant impact on traffic safety level. Based on the data analysis several multiple regression forms that relate traffic accident frequencies and geometric factors on expressways are developed.
This is part of a study on the origin of modernist forms and settings. Forms in Modern Architecture are totally new as though they seemed to be originated from some remote culture. Archaeological studies and Laugier's primitivist attitude to the classical architecture provided a way leading, in the end, to pure structures and abstract forms. An application of the classical elements was combined with the ultimate image of nobility, simplicity and rationality. What the seventeenth and eighteenth century theorists realized in the ruines of the classical structures were not the ones with their original organic vitality but the deteriorated, naked and abstracted ones. The essence of the classical structures has been the one of the main references of the modern white architecture. Ration and Nature were the quintessential terms in the design process of the Enlightenment architects of the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries as they were in the twentieth century architecture. Pure geometric and symbolic forms were new inventions for the new revolutionary age after the development of architectural Styles, successive until Baroque and Roccoco, ceased to go on to the next phase. Many of their buildings appeared so modem in character, for they were omitted all but the essential structure and decoration. Other sides of rationality in the pre-modern age were evolved in terms of the paradigmatic research and the logic in structure. Durand developed a systematic typological approach to the forms. Geometry was the basis of his designs and his illustrations resembled endless simple geometrical problems. One of the other rational approaches was mainly developed by Viollet-le-Duc. To him, Gothic architecture was the model in which each members functioned actively and exerted counterpressure and the Middle Ages invented new fantastic forms. The several ways of rational approaches in architecture were led to the 'tabula rasa' planning in modern architecture. Nature was remained untouched and not deformed as Ledoux's houses in the $H{\hat{o}}tel$ de $Th{\acute{e}}lusson$ were setted on informal gardens. It is part of the modem image that Nature flows or interpenetrates through the white prisms of the strictest classical purity and machines.

This paper presents a study of the nonlinear cylindrical bending of an exponential functionally graded plate (simply called E-FG) with variable thickness. The plate is subjected to uniform pressure loading and his geometric nonlinearity is introduced in the strain-displacement equations based on Von-Karman assumptions. The material properties of functionally graded plates, except the Poisson's ratio, are assumed to vary continuously through the thickness of the plate in accordance with the exponential law distribution; and the solution is obtained using Hamilton's principle for constant plate thickness. In order to analyze functionally graded plate with variable thickness, a numerical solution using finite difference method is used, where parabolic variation of the plate thickness is studied. The results for E-FG plates are given in dimensionless graphical forms; and the effects of material and geometric properties on displacements and normal stresses through the thickness are determined.
This study deals with the problem of proof education in the middle school geometry bby examining van Hiele#s geometric thought level theory and Freudenthal#s mathematization teaching theory. The implications that have been revealed by examining the theory of van Hie이 and Freudenthal are as follows. First of all, the proof education at present that follows the order of #definition-theorem-proof#should be reconsidered. This order of proof-teaching may have the danger that fix the proof education poorly and formally by imposing the ready-made mathematics as the mere record of proof on students rather than suggesting the proof as the real thought activity. Hence we should encourage students in reinventing #proving#as the means of organization and mathematization. Second, proof-learning can not start by introducing the term of proof only. We should recognize proof-learning as a gradual process which forms with understanding the meaning of proof on the basic of the various activities, such as observation of geometric figures, analysis of the properties of geometric figures and construction of the relationship among those properties. Moreover students should be given this natural ground of proof.
This study proposes 3D printed shoe designs with patterns made by reinterpreting traditional Korean muntin patterns as customized designs that are unique to individual consumers and different from existing products. In the fashion industry, shoes with diverse designs grafted with 3D printing technology have been introduced. Artistic 3D printed shoes showcase the unique designs of designers. Functional and practical 3D printed shoes that can be worn during daily activities and during exercise have been actively developed. Traditional Korean pattern designs are also being recreated into designs reflecting the aesthetic sense of modern times with our own identity. The uniqueness of the traditional muntin patterns in geometric shapes, such as intersections of lines, rectangles, and octagons, are expressed in shoe designs with modern aesthetic senses by utilizing the traditional patterns that conform well to the modern geometric beauty of forms. This study was intended to develop 3D shoe designs that reinterpreted the motif of muntin patterns from among traditional Korean geometric patterns with a modern aesthetic sense. The octagonal patterns that express the scenery of spring can be seen through the muntins in traditional Korean-style houses were designed on the heels of shoes. Utilizing the Rhino CAD program and ProJet 660 Pro 3D printer, shoes were designed and printed. The processes for making shoes using 3D printing technology proposed in this study are significant because they represent the creation of designs in a new area. The results of this study might help in the development of 3D printed fashion products.
In Shewhart control chart, the average run length(ARL) is calculated using the mean of a conventional geometric distribution(CGD) assuming a sequence of identical and independent Bernoulli trials. In this, the success probability of CGB is the probability that any point exceeds the control limits. When the process is in-control state, there is no problem in the above assumption since the probability that any point exceeds the control limits does not change if the in-control state continues. However, if the out-of-control state begins and continues during the process, the probability of exceeding the control limits may take two forms. First, once the out-of-control state begins with exceeding probability p, it continues with the same exceeding probability p. Second, after the out-of-control state begins, the exceeding probabilities may very according to some pattern. In the first case, ARL is the mean of CGD with success probability p as usual. But in the second case, the assumption of a sequence of identical and independent Bernoulli trials is invalid and we can not use the mean of CGD as ARL. This paper concentrate on that point. By adopting one generalized binomial distribution(GBD) model that allows correlated Bernoulli trials, generalized geometric distribution(GGD) is defined and its mean is derived to find an alternative ARL when the process is in out-of-control state and the exceeding probabilities take the second form mentioned in the above. Small-scale simulation is performed to show how an alternative ARL works.
In this paper, we propose a comprehensive geometric correction algorithm of Along Track Scanning Radiometer(ATSR) images. The procedure consists of two cascaded modules; precorrection and fine co-location. The pre-correction algorithm is based on the navigation model which was derived in mathematical forms. This model was applied for correction raw(un-geolocated) ATSR images. The non-systematic geometric errors are also introduced as the limitation of the geometric correction by this analytical method. A fast and automatic algorithm is also presented in the paper for co-locating nadir and forward views of the ATSR images by using a binary cross-correlation matching technique. It removes small non-systematic errors which cannot be corrected by the analytic method. The proposed algorithm does not require any auxiliary informations, or a priori processing and avoiding the imperfect co-registratio problem observed with multiple channels. Coastlines in images are detected by a ragion segmentation and an automatic thresholding technique. The matching procedure is carried out with binaty coastline images (nadir and forward), and it gives comparable accuracy and faster processing than a patch based matching technique. This technique automatically reduces non-systematic errors between two views to .$\pm$ 1 pixel.
