  • Gottlieb polynomials were introduced and investigated in 1938, and then have been cited in several articles. Very recently Khan and Akhlaq introduced and investigated Gottlieb polynomials in two and three variables to give their generating functions. Subse- quently, Khan and Asif investigated the generating functions for the $q$-analogue of Gottlieb polynomials. Also, by modifying Khan and Akhlaq's method, Choi presented a generalization of the Gottlieb polynomials in $m$ variables to give two generating functions of the generalized Gottlieb polynomials ${\varphi}_{n}^{m}(\cdot)$. Here, we aim at defining a $q$-extension of the generalized two variable Gottlieb polynomials ${\varphi}_{n}^{2}(\cdot)$ and presenting their several generating functions.

  • This paper is focused on the formulation of explicit closed-form functions describing the performance measures of the general flexible manufacturing system (FMS)according to the strategy of material handling system(MHS). the performance measures such as the production rate, the production lead-time and the utilization rate of the general FMS are expressed, respectively, as the explicit closed-form functions of the part processing time, the service rate of the material handling system (MHS) and the number of machine tools in the FMS. For this, the gensral FMS is presented as a generalized stochastic Petri net model, then, the moment generating function (MGF) based approach is applied to obtain the steady-state probabity formulation. Based on the steady-state formulation, the explicit closed-form functions for performance measures of the probability FMS can be obtained. Finally, the analytical results are compared with the Petri net simulation results to verify the validity of the suggested method. The paper is of significance in the sense that it provides a comprehensive formula for performance measures of the FMS even to the industry engineers and academic reademic resuarchers who have no background on Markov chain analysis method or Petrinet modeling

  • The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the q-Apostol type Frobenius-Euler numbers and polynomials. By using generating functions for these numbers and polynomials, we derive some alternative summation formulas including powers of consecutive q-integers. By using infinite series representation for q-Apostol type Frobenius-Euler numbers and polynomials including their interpolation functions, we not only give some identities and relations for these numbers and polynomials, but also define generating functions for new numbers and polynomials. Further we give remarks and observations on generating functions for these new numbers and polynomials. By using these generating functions, we derive recurrence relations and finite sums related to these numbers and polynomials. Moreover, by applying higher-order derivative to these generating functions, we derive some new formulas including the Hurwitz-Lerch zeta function, the Apostol-Bernoulli numbers and the Apostol-Euler numbers. Finally, for an application of the generating functions, we derive a multiplication formula, which is very important property in the theories of normalized polynomials and Dedekind type sums.

  • We consider a continuous time surplus process with investments the sizes of which are independent and identically distributed. It is assumed that an investment of the surplus to other business is made, if and only if the surplus reaches a given sufficient level. We establish an integro-differential equation for the distribution function of the surplus and solve the equation to obtain the moment generating function for the stationary distribution of the surplus. As a consequence, we obtain the first and second moments of the level of the surplus in an infinite horizon.

  • A Boolean function generates a binary sequence which is frequently used in a stream cipher. There are number of critical concepts which a Boolean function, as a key stream generator in a stream cipher, satisfies. These are nonlinearity, correlation immunity, balancedness, SAC(strictly avalanche criterion), PC(propagation criterion) and so on. In this paper, we present the algorithms for generating random nonlinear combining functions satisfying given correlation immune order and nonlinearity. These constructions can be applied for designing the key stream generators. We use Microsoft Visual C++6.0 for our program.

  • In this paper, we consider a diffusion risk process, in which, its surplus process behaves like a Brownian motion in-between adjacent epochs of claims. We assume that the claims occur following a Poisson process and their sizes are independent and exponentially distributed with the same intensity. Our main goal is to derive the exact formula of the joint moment generating function of the ruin time and the total amount of aggregated claim sizes until ruin in the diffusion risk process. We also provide a method for computing the related first and second moments using the joint moment generating function and the augmented matrix exponential function.

  • In this paper we introduced a new score generating function for the rank dispersion function in a multiple linear model. Based on the new score function, we derived the asymptotic relative efficiency, ARE(11, rs), of our score function with respect to the Wilcoxon scores for the generalized F distributions which show very flexible distributions with a variety of shape and tail behaviors. We thoroughly explored the selection of r and s of our new score function that provides improvement over the Wilcoxon scores.

  • The main aim of this present paper is to present a new extension of the fractional derivative operator by using the extension of beta function recently defined by Shadab et al. [19]. Moreover, we establish some results related to the newly defined modified fractional derivative operator such as Mellin transform and relations to extended hypergeometric and Appell's function via generating functions.

  • In the present research paper, we introduce a further extension of Hurwitz-Lerch zeta function by using the generalized extended Beta function defined by Parmar et al.. We investigate its integral representations, Mellin transform, generating functions and differential formula. In view of diverse applications of the Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta functions, the results presented here may be potentially useful in some related research areas.

  • Various methods and torque generating devices are developed and employed to apply proper torque clinically. In this study, clinically used torque control devices are measured whether uniformed and precise torque are generated. Digital torque gauge are employed for measurement and torque driver, torque limiting device, torque indicating device are used for torque generating devices. ${\chi}^2$ distribution was formed and One-way ANOVA(Turkey test) was performed to measure torque values generated by each torque generating device. In the results, all companies have been shown slight errors and deviations. This indicates a difficulty of applying precise torque. Therefore, it would be recommended torque generating device should be checked whether uniformed and precise torque can be generated and an error should be corrected.
