경화제에 따른 열경화성 분체도료의 물성 비교 (Property of Carboxylic Polyester Powder Coatings with Different Hardeners)

  • It was researched to be alternative of TGIC type hardener with human hazard element as PT 910 mix powder paint with hardener. Generally PT 910 was compared with TGIC & Epoxy resin of hardener to be used at thermosetting powder paint. We inquired a property of matter for paint through Gel time, glass transition temperature, melting point and a property of matter for film through a property of adhesion, a property of tolerance, softness, gloss, acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, salt water spray-resistant, facilitation climatic. When PT 910 is used of hardener, it was shown the excellent results in gel time, softness, salt water spray-resistant, fracilitation climatic and the similar results in melting point, a property of tolerance, a property of adhesion, gloss, acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, as compared with the powder paint used by TGIC hardener. The glass transition temperature was little low. But there was slightly different results. After the study results, we reached the conclusion that thermosetting powder used by PT 910 is alterative to by TGIC hardener.

  • We have developed an injectable thermosensitive hydrogel for local drug delivery to treat cancers clinically. We selected chitosan as a polymer matrix because of its biocompatibility and biodegradability. Glycerol 2-phosphate disodium salt hydrate (${\beta}$-GP) was used to neutralize the chitosan solution to physiological pH. The chitosan solution displayed a sol-gel phase transition in a pH-and temperature-dependent manner and formed an endothermic hydrogel after subcutaneous injection into mouse in the presence of ${\beta}$-GP. Additionally, we evaluated the biodegradation of chitosan hydrogel in mice by measuring the volume of injected chitosan hydrogel after subcutaneous injection. The injected chitosan hydrogel in mice was sected and stained with hematoxylin-eosin reagent for histological observation to confirm biodegradation of the hydrogel by the infiltrated cells. Chitosan hydrogel systems that possess biocompatibility and biodegradability could be promising thermosensitive injectable materials useful as depot systems for local anti-cancer drug delivery.

Construction of 3D Culture Medium with Elastin-like Polypeptide (ELP) Hydrogel for Human Pluripotent Stem Cells

  • Pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) have lots of potential in biomedical sciences owing to its potential to differentiate into any kind of cells in the body. However, it is still a challenge to culture PSCs on a large scale for application to regenerative medicine. Herein, we introduce a synthetic polymer that enables large-scale suspension culture of human PSCs. By employing suspension culture, it became unnecessary to use conventional substrata such as mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEF) or Matrigel$^{TM}$, which are believed to be main causative sources of xenogeneic contamination in cultured human PSCs in vitro. Human PSCs were cultured in the medium in which elastin-like polypeptide (ELP) dissolved. The ELP in the medium became harden as temperature increases by transforming the medium into a semi-solid gel that supported growth of human PSCs in suspension. Gel-sol transition temperature of ELP can be adjusted by modifying the peptide sequence in which 5 amino acids, Val-Pro-Gly-Xaa-Gly, repeated sequentially. We constructed 3D suspension media having transition temperature around $33{\sim}35^{\circ}C$ using an ELP consisted of 40, 60, or 80 repeats of a monomer, which was Val-Pro-Gly-Val-Gly. Among the ELPs, ELP80 was chosen as the best ELP to support growth of human PSCs in suspension culture. This result suggests that the ELP80 can be a medium component for culturing human PSCs in large-scale.

Investigation of Linear Viscoelastic Properties of Xanthan-Carob Mixture in Sol and Gel States

  • Synergistic interactions between xanthan (X) and carob (C) were investigated by studying the linear viscoelastic behavior of X, C, and X/C mixtures at sol and gel states. At the solution state, storage modulus (G') dominates the linear viscoelastic properties of X/C mixtures. The gelation temperature (52 to $57^{\circ}C$) was weakly dependent on the xanthan fraction (${\phi}x$) in the mixture. The ${\phi}x$ also had a strong effect on G' until ${\phi}x=0.5$. The elastic active network concentration (EANC) of X/C gels was estimated from the pseudo-equilibrium modulus. The EANC for systems with ${\phi}x=0.25$, 0.5, 0.75, and 1 at 1% total concentration was 2.3, 4.4, 4.1, and 0.32 (${\times}10^{-3}\;mol/m^3$), respectively. The maximum synergistic effect was observed at about ${\phi}x=0.5$. The G' at the transition state of X/C mixed gel was proportional to ${\omega}^{3/2}$ at ${\omega}$>${\omega}_{tr}$ (the onset transition frequency) compared to the theoretical limit of ${\omega}^{1/2}$.

  • 생체 적합하고 온도 및 pH에 대한 민감성을 갖는 하이드로젤로서 Pluronic과 acrylic acid (AAc) 공단량체를 도입한 개질 PHEMA 가교젤을 광중합법을 사용하여 제조하고 그 팽윤거동을 조사하였다. 하이드로젤에 도입된 온도민감성 Pluronic의 영향 때문에 낮은 온도에서는 높은 팽윤거동을 보이다가 졸-젤 전이 이상의 온도에서 젤 수축이 일어나고 팽윤비의 감소가 나타났다. 한편 이온성의 AAc 공단량체의 도입과 함량 증가에 따라 하이브리드 젤의 팽윤비는 증가하였으며, 이들 구조가 갖는 일정 pH 영역에서 이온화 영향으로 pH에 민감한 팽윤거동을 나타내었다. 한편 SEM을 통해 하이드로젤의 다공성 모폴로지 변화를 관찰하였다.

Thermocontrol of Solute Permeation across Polymer Memberane Composed of Poly(N, N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate) and Its Copolymers

  • Polymer membranes composed of N, N-dimethylaminoethyl methaccrylate(DMAEMA) and acrylamide(AAm)(or ethyl acrylamide(EAAm) were prepared to demonstrated the thermo-control of solute permeation. Poly DMEMA has a lower critical solution temperature(LCST) at around 50$\^{C}$ in water, With the copolymerization of DMAEMA with AAm (or EAAm) a shift in the LCST to a lowere temperature was observed, probably due to the formation of hydrogen bonds between the amide and N-N-dimethylamino groups. However, the temperature-induced phase transition of poly(DMAEMA-co-EAAm) did not show a similar trend to that of poly(DMAEMA- co-AAm) in the gel state. The hydrogen bonds in poly(DMAEMA-co-EAAm) were significantly disrupted with the formation a gel network, which led to a difference in the swilling behavior of polymer gels in response to temperature. To apply these polymers to temperature-sensitive sol-ute permeation, polymer membranes were prepared. The permeation pattern of hydrocortisone, used as the model solute, was explained based on the temperature-sensitive swelling behavior of the polymer membranes.

졸-겔법에 의한 Au 미립자 분산 ZrO2 겔의 합성 (Synthesis of ZrO2 Gel Dispersed with Au Fine Particles by Sol-Gel Method)

  • Zirconia gels dispersed with fine Au particles have been prepared by the sol-gel method. Starting solution with (OC$Zr_4$$H_{ 9}$)$_4$, $C_4$ $H_{9}$ OH, $H_2$O,$ HNO_3$, $HAuC1_4$ was used to prepare gels in several molar ratio. After hydrolysis, viscosity of solutions as 4∼5 cP and gelling time of sols were spent about 9 days. As the heat-treatment temperature was increased,$ ZrO_2$ had the phase transition from tetragonal to monoclinic at $750^{\circ}C$. Heat-treatments of the gel have performed at 500, 700, 750, 800, 1000 and $1100^{\circ}C$ for 3 hrs, respectively. We have investigated TG-DTA, X-ray diffraction patterns, SEM and EDS. The size of Au fine particles dispersed in the heat-treatmented gel was about 0.15∼0.23 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and the shape was most sphericity.

Fine YBaCuO Powder Prepared by Sol-gel Method

  • In order to get proper original suspension for the electrophoresis process of making YBaCuO films, YBaCuO superconductor powder was prepared with the Sol-gel method. The composition of the powder was analyzed by X-ray diffraction, which was identified as YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$\sub$7-x/(Yl23) phase. The form of YBaCuO single particle was showed to be spherical by scanning electronic microscope and its size was among 0.2-1 $\mu\textrm{m}$. The critical transition temperature (T$\sub$c/) and the critical current density (J$\sub$c/) were measured with the four-probe, method. The T$\sub$c/ was about 91 K, and the J$\sub$c/ was 5-30 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

pH 및 온도에 동시에 민감한 하이드로젤의 팽윤 특성 (Swelling Characteristics of a Hydrogel poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-N N'-dimethylaminopropyl methacrylamide) Sensitive to Both pH and Temperature)

  • 온도 및 pH에 동시에 민감한 하이드로젤 Poly(N-isopropy-lacrylamide-co-N,N'-dmerhylaminopropyl methacrylamide)을 합성하고, 그 팽윤 특성을 연구하였다. pH 민감성분인 N,N'-dmerhylaminopropyl methacrylamide (DMAPMAAn)의 물분율이 5%인 하이드로젤이 팽윤정도는 lower critucal solution temperature(LCST) 이상의 온도($37^{\circ}C$$40^{\circ}C$)에서 pH가 낮은 범위(pH 1-8)일 때 크게 증가하였다. 이는 온도민감성 하이드로젤이 같은 pH범위에서 전혀 팽윤이 일어나지 않는 것과 대조되었다. DMAPMAAm의 물분울이 20%인 경우에는 높은 pH(pH 12)에서도 젤이 상당히 팽창하였다. $40^{\circ}C$에서 pH가 12에서 2로 감소할 때 젤의 수분함량은 5mol%젤의 경우 38.8 wt%에서 84.7wt%로 증가하였고, 20mol%젤의 경우 60.6 wt%에서 90.8wt%로 증가하였다. 온도 및 pH에 동시에 민감한 하이드로젤의 부피 변화에 대해 이와 같이 pH는 온도 및 젤 조성의 영향을 받아 $37^{\circ}C$에서 pH 8보다 $40^\circC$에서 (pH 7) 더 낮아졌고, 5 mol%에서 (pH 7)보다 20 mol%일때 (pH 9) 증가하였다 LCST 이하의 온도 ($25^{\circ}C$)에서는 젤의 팽윤정도가 pH에 의해 크게 영향받지 않았다. 젤의 투명도와 LCST는 DMAPMAAm의 물분율에 따라 증가하였다.

밀전분의 유리전이와 호화 및 노화에 대한 sucrose와 글루텐의 영향 (Effect of Sucrose and Gluten on Glass Transition, Gelatinization, and Retrogradation of Wheat Starch)

  • 전분, 단백질, 지방, 당류 등의 복잡한 다성분계로 구성된 전분질식품의 노화를 억제하기 위한 기초자료를 얻기 위해 전체 수분함량 50%의 동일한 조건에서 밀전분과 sucrose와 글루텐을 모델계로 하여 전분의 유리전이와 호화 및 노화현상을 연구하였다. Sucrose나 글루텐은 밀전분에 대한 첨가비율이 증가함에 따라 밀전분의 유리전이온도($T_G$)를 감소시켰으며 sucrose는 밀전분의 호화온도($T_G$)와 호화엔탈피값(${\Delta}H_G$)을 증가시켰다. 글루텐을 포함한 시료들은 글루텐을 포함하지 않은 시료들보다 낮은 $T_G$${\triangle}H_G$값을 나타내었다. 저장온도 $4^{\circ}C$에서 4주간 저장한 밀전분겔 시료들 중 sucrose와 글루텐을 포함하지 않는 밀전분겔은 4주의 저장기간 동안 재결정이 계속된 반면 밀전분-sucrose계와 밀전분-sucrose-글루텐계는 1주의 저장기간에 거의 재결정이 완료되었다. 저장온도 $32^{\circ}C$에서 모든 전분겔 시료들은 저장기간 1주의 저장기간에서 재결정 발생속도가 컸으며 4주의 저장기간까지 느린 속도이지만 계속적으로 재결정이 발생하였으며 밀전분에 대해 sucrose와 글루텐의 첨가비가 가장 높았던 1 :0.5 :0.12의 밀전분-sucrose-글루텐계의 노화된 정도가 가장 적었다. DSC로 측정한 노화의 결과들은 폴리머재결정원리에서의 결정의 핵형성율과 핵성장율이 노화 endotherm의 peak 폭(${\delta}T$)과 peak온도($T_R$)로 전환된다는 실험적 결과로부터 노화에 대한 해석이 가능하였다.
