굴삭기 유압 주행시스템의 복합유성기어 시스템 설계개선 연구 (Design Improvement for a Planetary Gear System in Hydraulic Drive System)

  • Planetary gear systems have several advantages over traditional gearboxes with parallel axis gear shafts. The planetary gearbox arrangement also creates greater stability due to the even distribution of mass and increased rotational stiffness. However, gears in planetary gear systems occasionally have a short-life due to wear and breakage by repetitive load during operation time. In this study, we evaluated variables of the strength design for each part and conducted structural analysis of seven cases of the planetary gear system. The result of structural analysis was applied to shape optimization method and obtaining the weight lightening designed value. Subsequently, the planetary gear system was performed to ensure the durability of gears during operation time with miner's rule.

머신비전을 이용한 타원형 기어 검사 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Elliptical Gear Inspection System Using Machine Vision)

  • 타원형 기어는 오발 유량계에 사용되는 특수기어로써 타원형 모양에 의해 생긴 공간으로 물을 흘려보내 계측한다. 본 연구의 목적은 타원형 기어의 가공정도를 판단하고 불량을 가려내는 시스템을 머신비전을 이용하여 개발하는 것이다. 각종 산업분야에서 자동화가 확산되면서 머신미전의 수요는 늘고 있으며 업계전반의 생산공정 중 검사 공정에서 빼놓을 수 없는 인자가 되었다. 하지만 머신비전을 이용한 기어측정은 기어의 형상이 복잡하다는 이유로 잘 사용되지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 머신비전을 이용한 검사 프로그램으로 타원형 기어의 측정이 가능함을 보였으며 본 연구에서 설계한 타원형 기어의 가공정도를 판단할 수 있었다.

기어 변속기의 소음저감을 위한 치형수정 설정방법에 관한 고찰 (An Investigation on the Method of Tooth Modification for Noise Suppression of Gear Transmission)

  • A method of establishing the tooth modification for gear transmission of vehicles to reduce gear whine noise, caused by tooth impact phenomenon of mating gear, is introduced. The major causes of tooth impact are due to the deflections of gear teeth and shafts of transmission with the loaded condition including various kinds of manufacturing errors. The theoretical shape of tooth surface to avoid tooth impact is derived by the amount of elastic deformation of gear teeth and shaft and overall manufacturing error of machine tool. The surface function is converted with respect to the conventional commercial data usually communicated to the gear inspection system. The proposed method is applied to the gearbox of four wheel drive vehicle and shows the gear whine noise decreased to the 8 dB in the sound level.

정밀정형 냉간단조 기어성형을 위한 소재처리와 다이설계 (Billet Treatment and Die Design for Net-Shape Forming of Gear by Cold Forging)

  • In this paper, net-shape forming of an automobile gear is investigated. Barrel, a component of automobile start motor, is adopted as a net-shape forming. In order to accomplish the goal of net-shape forming without cutting of tooth and cam after forming, forming ability is raised through billet treatment and die design. As a technique of billet treatment spheroidizing annealing of billet to get low hardness and molybdenum disulphide coating to get low contact friction between billet and die is carried out. One of critical points of die design, fillet radii variation of tooth of die is applied to get smooth surface of barrel after cold forging. As a measurement of tooth accuracy, distance between two pins and lead-tooth alignments are investigated. Cam profile accuracy is checked with a 3D measuring instrument. Results obtained from the tests revealed reasonable result with respect to design goal. By these results, the paper shows that reasonable results can be obtained by billet treatment and die design for net-shape forming.

  • This paper is the study on stress analysis of spur gear using a finite element method. Gear drives constitute very important mechanisms in transmitting mechanical power processes compromising several cost effective and engineering advantages. The load transmission occurred by the contacting surfaces arises variable elastic deformations which are being evaluated through finite element analysis. The automatic gear design program is developed to model gear shape precisely. This gear design system developed was used by pre-processor of FEM packages. The distribution of stresses at contacting surfaces was examined when a pair of gear contact.

  • In the study, the modeling strategies in connection with the quantitative prediction and improvement of product accuracy and quality are proposed. The analysis models are composed of process chain, geometry of die, interface conditions between die and workpiece, material parameters, forming velocity of machine, and so on. A 3D simulation platform, around the software MSC. Superforge, is built up for the applications in net-shape forming parts. Some results for bevel gear are shown to demonstrate the efficiency of the modeling system.

자동차용 피니언 기어의 설계 형상에 따른 내구성 해석 (Durability Analysis due to Design Shape of Pinion Gear)

  • The structural analyses were conducted with three models of pinion gears connected to the rack gear which is driven by the steering axle at an automobile. Three models 1, 2 and 3 are designed as the different pinion gears due to the vehicle type. The lower the value of maximum stress, the better the durability of model. Model 3 has the best durability among three models. Models 1 and 2 are expected to require the adjustment in order to improve the durability better. By the utilization of this study result, it is thought to apply at designing the pinion gear with durability at the automobile.

침탄치차의 굽힘강도에 미치는 Shot Peening의 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Shot Peened Treatments on the Strength of Carburized Gears)

  • Hardened layer and compressive residual stress created by carburized treatment effect on bending strength of gear massively. Also, shot peening treatment improves the strength of carburized gear as it does the hardness and residual stress of surface layer. In these days shot peening techniques are welcomed as one of physical improvement ways around the surface of materials. It is used widely because qualitative analysis of shot peening has become possible and surface treatment can be done with very little costs comparaed to other surface improvement methods. Therefore this study investigates the effect of shot peening in surface shape and bending fatigue strength after doing many kinds of shot peening treatments, then doing fatigue test and also explained characteristics of shot peening gear.

저층 트롤의 그물입구 형상과 소해 단면적 (The gear shape and cross section of sweep at mouth of a bottom trawl)

  • Estimation of the gear shape and cross section of sweep at mouth of a bottom trawl net was described and applied to the field experiments obtained with the Scanmar system. The shape of the trawl net from wingend to the beginning of codend was assumed to be part of an elliptic cone of which the cross section was ellipse, and that of the float rope be of form $y_f=a_fx^{bf}$. In case of a bottom trawl with warp 180m long, the radius of ellipse, the cross section of sweep at mouth, the eccentricity of the ellipse, the inclination angle of float rope and the contribution of the side panel to net height were estimated in accordance with towing speed. The horizontal radius of the upper ellipse increased with increasing towing speed, the eccentricity of it became slightly bigger as increasing the towing speed which meant the shape of it being flat. And the inclination angle of the float rope was about between 7 and 12 degrees in case of the above bottom trawl.

코니칼 인볼류트 기어의 Total 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Total Design of a Conical Involute Gear)

  • Currently, there are many power transmission devices, including gears, friction wheels, chains, and belts. Because the power transmission of gears is most certainin these devices, gears are widely used in different power transmission fields and environments. In accordance with the gear shape, gears can be classified as cylindrical gears and conical gears. A cylindrical gear, which provides a means of power transmission under parallel axis and skewed axis conditions, contains a spur gear, a helical gear and a worm gear. A conical gear, which can be used on a skewed axis as well as parallel and crossed axes, includes a bevel gear(e.g., straight bevel, spiral bevel, hypoid gear) and a conical involute gear(or a bevel oid gear). In this paper, a conical involute gear which utilizes the fabrication method of other involute gears such as spur and helical gears using a CNC hobbing machine is discussed.
