전기 유압식 동력 조향시스템의 모델링 및 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Modeling and Simulation of an Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering system)

  • EHPS는 탈엔진형 조향기술로 BLDC 모터를 통해 유압펌프를 작동시켜 조향력을 보조하는 동력 조향장치이다. EHPS는 BLDC 모터, 기어펌프 및 유압회로, 파워 스티어링 등으로 이루어진 전기전자, 유압 및 기계시스템의 복합적 시스템으로 모델링이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 EHPS 시스템의 구성 부품을 수학적 모델링 하였고, AMESim을 이용하여 multi-domain 시스템의 시뮬레이션 모델을 구축하였다. 이를 활용한 다양한 시뮬레이션을 통해 개발 초기단계에서의 시행착오를 줄이고 완성도 높은 EHPS 개발 업무를 수행하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

세관내 R-22와 R-134a의 응축 전열 특성에 관한 연구 (Condensing Heat Transfer Characteristics of R-22 and R-134a in Small Diameter Tubes)

  • Condensing heat transfer coefficients of R-22 and R-134a were measured in smooth, horizontal copper tubes with inner diameters of 1.77mm, 3.36mm, and 5.35mm, respectively. The experiments were conducted in the closed loop, which was driven by a magnetic gear pump. Data are presented for the following range of variables : mass velocity from 200 to 500kg/$m^2$.s and quality from 0 to 1.0. The heat transfer coefficients in the small diameter tubes (ID < 7mm) were observed to be strongly affected by various diameters and the heat transfer characteristics in the small diameter tubes differed from those in the large diameter tubes. Heat transfer coefficients in the small diameter tubes are higher than those in the large diameter tubes at the same experimental condition. It was found that some well-known previous correlations(Shahs correlation and Cavallini-Zecchins correlation) were not suitable for small diameter tubes.

  • The experiments were conducted without oil in a closed refrigerant loop which was driven by a magnetic gear pump. The main components of the refrigerant loop are a receiver, a variable-speed pump, a mass flow meter, a pre-heater and evaporator(test section). The test section was made of a horizontal stainless steel tube with the inner diameter of 4.57 mm, and length of 4 m. The experiments were conducted at mass flux of 200 to 700 kg/$m^2s$, saturation temperature of 0$^{circ}C$ to 20$^{circ}C$, and heat flux of 10 to 30 kW/$m^2$. The test results showed the evaporation heat transfer of $CO_2$ has great effect on more nucleate boiling than convective boiling. The evaporation heat transfer coefficients of $CO_2$ are highly dependent on the vapor quality, heat flux and saturation temperature. In comparison with test results and existing correlations, correlations failed to predict the evaporation heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$, therefore, it is necessary to develop reliable and accurate predictions determining the evaporation heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$ in a horizontal tube.

  • A gerotor is suitable for miniature manufacturing because it has a high discharge per cycle and a simple structure, while also being widely used as lubrication oil of engines and the hydraulic source of automatic transmission. In the automobile industry, it has been necessary to continuously improve the flow rate and noise of internal gear pumps for better fuel efficiency through optimal gerotor design. In this study, to obtain an optimal gerotor with an ellipse-elliptical involute-ellipse combined lobe shape, an automatic program was developed for calculating performance parameters and drawing a gerotor profile. An oil pump was assembled with the optimal gerotor together with the port used at the actual field and CFD analysis was performed on this assembly using Ansys-CFX. A performance test for the oil pump was carried out and showed good agreement with the results obtained from the theoretical analysis and the CFD analysis.

  • An important problem of offshore plant process piping is equipment accidents due to the removal of fine metal debris and foreign substances in the pipes that deliver fluids such as hydraulic oil, lubricating oil and thermal oil. Temporary flushing equipment to remove debris uses fluid equipment of centrifugal pump and gear pump to prevent equipment accident of offshore platform. The equipment manufacturer requires the shipyard to have a cleanliness rating inside the pipe to meet the international standards ISO4406 and NAS1638 quality levels to prevent damage to the equipment sold. The quality of the internal flushing of pipes conforms to the regulations suggested by the equipment manufacturer. In this paper, three types of electric heater capacity, which is a method of evaporating and removing water inside a pipe during an oil flushing process, were compared. In addition, the study was conducted to remove the flushing oil in the pipe and to improve oil quality.

The experiments were conducted without oil in a closed refrigerant loop which was driven by a magnetic gear pump. The main components of the refrigerant loop are a receiver, a variable-speed pump, a mass flow meter, a pre-heater and evaporator (test section). The test section consists of a smooth, horizontal stainless steel tube of inner diameter of 7.75 mm. The experiments were conducted at mass flux of 200 to 500 kg/m$^2$s, saturation temperature of -5 to 5$^{\circ}C$, and heat flux of 10 to 40kW/m$^2$. The test results showed the heat transfer of $CO_2$ has a greater effect on nucleate boiling more than convective boiling. Mass flux of $CO_2$ does not affect nucleate boiling too much, and the effect of mass flux on evaporative heat transfer of $CO_2$ is much smaller than that of refrigerant R-22 and R-134a. In comparison with test results and existing correlations, correlations failed to predict the evaporative heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$, therefore, it is necessary to develope reliable and accurate predictions determining the evaporative heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$ in a horizontal tube.

  • The evaporation pressure drop of $CO_2$ (R-744) in horizontal tubes was investigated experimentally. The experiments were conducted without oil in a closed refrigerant loop which was driven by a magnetic gear pump. The main components of the refrigerant loop are a receiver, a variable-speed pump, a mass flow meter, a pre-heater and evaporator (test section). The test section consists of a smooth, horizontal stainless steel tube of 7.75 and 4.57 mm inner diameter. The experiments were conducted at saturation temperature of $-5^{\circ}C\;to\;5^{\circ}C$, and heat flux of 10 to $40kW/m^2$. The test results showed the evaporation pressure drop of $CO_2$ are highly dependent on the vapor quality, heat flux and saturation temperature. The pressure drop measured during the evaporation process of $CO_2$ increases with increased mass flux, and decreases as the saturation temperature increased. The evaporation pressure drop of $CO_2$ is very lower than that of R-22. In comparison with test results and existing correlations, the best fit of the present experimental data is obtained with the correlation of Choi et al. But existing correlations failed to predict the evaporation pressure drop of $CO_2$. Therefore, it is necessary to develop reliable and accurate predictions determining the evaporation pressure drop of $CO_2$ in a horizontal tube.

하이브리드 승용차용 전자식 무단변속기의 개발 (Development of Electronically Controlled CVT for Hybrid Passenger Car)

  • In this paper, the details of electronically controlled CVT is described , which Kia Motor company recently developed in prototype form for hybrid passenger car. This transmission has two input shafts, one for engine and the other for traction motor. The shaft for traction motor is located at rear side which is extended from primary pulley shaft and connected to traction motor through adapter gear box. Adopting two input system, various driving mode is available such as motor alone driving in hybrid vehicle application. As far as electrohydraulic system concerned , this transmission uses two bleed type variable force solenoids for line pressure and ratio control, and one on-off solenoid for clutch control. Another feature for this transmission is that oil pump for transmission is separate from CVT for supplying oil pressure even at vehicle standstill.

Experiments were performed for the following range of variables ; mass velocity of refrigerants (200 to 400 $kg/m^2$ .s) saturation temperature ($0^{\circ}C, \; 5^{\circC$}) and quality (0 to 1.0) The main results obtained are as follows : Evaporating heat transfer coefficients in the small diameter tubes (ID<7 mm) were observed to be strongly affected by a variety of diameters and to differ from those in the large diameter tubes. The heat transfer coefficients of the small diameter tubes are higher than those of the large diameter tubes. Comparing the heat transfer coefficients between experimental results and some well-known previous predictions (Shah's correlation Gungor-Winterton's and Kandlikar's correlation) it was very difficult to apply those to small diameter tubes.

유압관로에서 맥동유동 특성에 관한 연구 (The Characteristics of Pulsating Flow in a Hydraulic Pipe)

  • The characteristics of the pulsating flow in a hydraulic pipe have been investigated. It is necessary to study the power control of the power transmission system in the landing gear system of aircraft and the design of robots. In this system, the power transmission pipeline is composed of a hydraulic system, and the operating flow is unsteady flow. The wave equation varying with frequency is analyzed in order to investigate the characteristics of unsteady flow in such a pipe. This wave equation involves the propagation coefficient in terns of frequency and viscosity. The theoretical result of this wave equation are compared with experimental result. Each wave equation, varying with the propagation coefficient, is analyzed theoretically. then, a sinusoidal wave generator is built in order to make better sinusoidal waves, and a rectifier is built to eliminate the noise from the hydraulic pump. The theoretical results of the wave equation in the flow of viscous fluid agree well with experimental results.
