  • The amount of acoustic data gathered from the acoustic data gathering system is increased dramatically as the acoustic data gathering system become various and highly effective. It is needed to transmit this acoustic data to analysis environment for precise analysis. In this gathering/analysis system, it is also needed the stable transmitting as well as highly perfect security. But the existing system using the conveying method needs a lot of time. In case of using networks, the low speed networking vulnerable in the stable transmitting and the information security is impossible to materialize. In this paper, I would like to propose a transmitting and management system sending a massive gathering acoustic data in the unsecurity and low speed networking environment. The implemented system is to transmit the acoustic data safely in low speed networking environment and secure the acoustic data from various threats.

  • The detailed production traceability information is a fundamental element in successful introduction and revitalization of traceability system. In this paper, we propose a production traceability information gathering system which is based on handwritten data digitalization technology in agro-livestock products. By the proposed system, we can effectively gather the detailed production traceability information with digital pen and the management ledger of paper document type by only writing the ledger. The server of the system generates the same digital image as the ledger and converts the handwritten data into digital text to insert the data into the database. Because the system is superior to data gathering system based on PC, PDA and touch screen in mobility, usability, data input speed, suitability in agro-livestock environment, it is possible to effectively gather traceability information of high quality by users even if they have low information ability and insufficient time to input data. We expect that the handwritten data digitalization technology is used to gather document based information in stage of manufacturing, distribution and marketing. In addition, this technology is applied to implementing advanced traceability system with RFID/USN based systems.

  • Based on the Merritt-Cummins system, the Korean immature aquatic and semiaquatic insects were reviewed and categorized into 6 different functional feeding groups (FFG) at the generic levels (257 genera belonging to 96 families, 10 orders),Among 257 genera, the most abundant FFG was the predator type consisting of 122(47%) genera. The second and third major groups were gathering-collectors (33genera, 13%) and shredders (21, 8%), respectively. Next group was occupied by scrapers (20,7%), and followed by filtering-collectors (12,5%) and plant-piercers (6, 2%). In addition, a total of 43 genera in 7 orders were remained as uncategorized groups. Both relative degrees of resistance and resilience of each genus were also analyzed to evaluate the role of each FFG in maintaining community stability. The results elucidated that the gathering-collectors and the scrapers could play a role as a pioneer group and a functional mediator in the community, respectively. The results also indicated that the practical use of relative resistance and resilience degrees could be applied to conduct comprehensive studies in stream ecosystems.

  • A sink node and its neighbor nodes spend more energy than other nodes since a stationary sink node collects data from wireless sensor networks(WSNs). For larger WSNs, the unbalanced energy of nodes causes the operation of WSNs to stop rapidly. This paper proposes a data gathering method by adapting the mobile sink to prolong the life time of large WSNs. After partitioning a network into several clusters, a mobile sink visits each cluster and collects data from it. An efficient algorithm is proposed to improve the energy efficiency by delivering the message from the mobile sink to the cluster head as well as to reduce the data gathering delay, which is the disadvantage of the mobile sink. Also, The algorithm is analyzed for the energy consumption and the data gathering delay. The validity of the ananlysis result is confirmed by the simulation.

  • Previous research on sensor networks mainly focused on efficient transmission of data from sensors to fixed sink nodes. Recently there has been active research on mobile sink nodes, but the re-search of an environment where both fixed sink nodes and mobile sinks are present at the same time is rather scarce. This paper proposes a technique for context gathering by mobile devices with the sink functionality added through fixed sinks under a previously built, cluster based multi hop sensor network environment. To this end, clustering of mobile devices were done based on the fixed sinks of a previously built sensor network, and by using appropriate fixed sinks, context gathering was made possible. By mathematical comparison with TTDD routing protocol, which was proposed for mobile sinks, it was conformed that performance increases in energy with the number of mobile sinks, and with the number of movements by mobile devices.

  • Garlic is classified as one of the three essential seasoning vegetables in Korea. In 2023, it was reported that the area under garlic cultivation was 24,700 ha, and the production stood at 318,220 tons. Garlic harvesting mechanization currently stands at 43.8%, and garlic is still collected manually after digging out using diggers, so the process is labor intensive. To reduce garlic production costs and enhance competitiveness, it is necessary to develop a high-performance gathering type harvester in place of the digging type harvester. Therefore, in this study, a gathering-type garlic harvester that can dig and collect simultaneously was designed and manufactured, and the harvest performance by factor was analyzed through a harvest performance test. As a result of the performance test, it was analyzed to perform optimally at a driving speed of 0.11m/s and a transfer speed of 85rpm. Work performance was calculated using the results obtained from the factor performance test.

  • The high-level contribution of this paper is to illustrate the effectiveness of using graph theory tree traversal algorithms (pre-order, in-order and post-order traversals) to generate the chain of sensor nodes in the classical Power Efficient-Gathering in Sensor Information Systems (PEGASIS) data aggregation protocol for wireless sensor networks. We first construct an undirected minimum-weight spanning tree (ud-MST) on a complete sensor network graph, wherein the weight of each edge is the Euclidean distance between the constituent nodes of the edge. A Breadth-First-Search of the ud-MST, starting with the node located closest to the center of the network, is now conducted to iteratively construct a rooted directed minimum-weight spanning tree (rd-MST). The three tree traversal algorithms are then executed on the rd-MST and the node sequence resulting from each of the traversals is used as the chain of nodes for the PEGASIS protocol. Simulation studies on PEGASIS conducted for both TDMA and CDMA systems illustrate that using the chain of nodes generated from the tree traversal algorithms, the node lifetime can improve as large as by 19%-30% and at the same time, the energy loss per node can be 19%-35% lower than that obtained with the currently used distance-based greedy heuristic.

  • Recently, the supplying of basic materials for construction of building as sand is big issues due to lack of shoreside supply. For solving this problem, many suppliers attempt to gather aggregate from the sea bottom of the EEZ & west coastal area of Korea. In this regard, the 'Jangantoe' which exists in the westside of the Daesan port is worth noticing as good seasand supplying areas. The Chungnam Aggregate Association have plan to gather of seasand from 'Gaduckdo 5 regions & Igok 3 regions' which lies westside about 6 miles off from the Jangantoe areas. This designated area also locates upper parts of the Gadaeam TSS(Traffic Separation Scheme) which is very useful passing routes for the sailing vessels of Inchon & Daesan ports. In this study, the evaluation of the safety for passing vessels in the vicinity of the seasand gathering area was performed by various methods of radar observations & GICOMS AIS data for marine traffics and vessel traffic-flow simulation of the 'Marine Traffic Safety Diagnostic Scheme'. By the results of this evaluation, I suggested comprehensive countermeasures for the safety of passing vessels in the near the seasand gathering area.

  • By means of compressive sensing (CS) technique, this paper considers the collection of sensor data with spatiotemporal correlations in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In energy-constrained WSNs, one-dimensional CS methods need a lot of data transmissions since they are less applicable in fully exploiting the spatiotemporal correlations, while the Kronecker CS (KCS) methods suffer performance degradations when the signal dimension increases. In this paper, an appropriate sensing matrix as well as an efficient sensing method is proposed to further reduce the data transmissions without the loss of the recovery performance. Different matrices for the temporal signal of each sensor node are separately designed. The corresponding energy-efficient data gathering method is presented, which only transmitting a subset of sensor readings to recover data of the entire WSN. Theoretical analysis indicates that the sensing structure could have the relatively small mutual coherence according to the selection of matrix. Compared with the existing spatiotemporal CS (CS-ST) method, the simulation results show that the proposed efficient measurement method could reduce data transmissions by about 25% with the similar recovery performance. In addition, compared with the conventional KCS method, for 95% successful recovery, the proposed sensing structure could improve the recovery performance by about 20%.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the shape of gathered skirts made by different gatherings. The shape of gathered skirts is affected by the amount of the gatherings that control fullness along a waistline seam. The gap also has an effect on the shape. We made a few experiments to make gathered skirts in different gathering conditions. The conditions include two types of ratio of gathers, which were given the total amount of gathering, and two types of spread of gathers, which were calculated for waist and hip. Experiments were conducted to figure out the dressed shape through 3-D measurement Exyma- WBS, and also to investigate the proportion, area distribution, and gap of the shape of gathered skirts on the horizontal section map with Rapid Form 2004 SP3, a software for 3-D shape analysis. As the results show, there were differences among the proportion, area distribution, and gap of the dressed shape. It showed that the shape on the horizontal section map was different because the shape between waist and hip per parts on body was not the same.
