배전계통 사고시 부하절체 방법의 GA 적용에 관한 연구 (The Application of Load Re-configuration Using Genetic Algorithm for the Distribute Systems Mischance)

  • 본 논문에서는 배전 손실 최소화 문제에 있어서 GA의 수렴특성을 개선하기 위해서는 새로운 수명의 개념을 도입한다. 즉 개체군의 균질화와 유전적 부동의 문제에 대해서 연령을 가진 집단에 유한의 수명을 부여하여 적응도에 의한 도태외에 어느수명에 도달한 경우에도 도태시키려는 방법을 제안하였다. 이 방법은 적응도가 가장 높은 개체는 개체수의 양, 엘리트 보존전략의 영향에 의해 자손을 남기는 확률이 높은 것인데 비해 적응도가 낮은 개체는 수명에 의해 빨리 도태되고 또한 수렴성의 향상을 기대할 수 있다. 게다가 수명을 고려한 볼수 법과 이미 제안되어 있는 DPM을 조합하여 이하와 같은 특징을 가진 GA의 탐색알고리즘을 개발한다.

고강도 극후판 EH36-TMCP강 EGW용접부의 역학적 거동 및 파괴인성 $K_{IC}$에 관한 해석 (Analysis of Mechanical Behavior and Fracture Toughness $K_{IC}$ on EGW Welded Joints for High Strength EH36-TMCP Ultra Thick Plate)

  • 본 연구에서는 EGW공정 적용에 따른 고강도 극후판 EH36-TMCP강 용접부의 역학적 거동 및 파괴인성 $K_{IC}$ 특성을 고찰하기 위해 먼저 자체 개발한 열분포, 열탄소성 프로그램을 이용한 유한요소해석을 통하여 용접부의 역학적 거동(용접잔류응력, 소성변형율 등의 크기, 분포, 발생기구)을 규명하였다. 그리고 이때 얻어진 잔류응력을 초기응력으로 하여 상용프로그램 ANSYS에서 노치가공으로 인한 응력 재분포 특성 및 잔류응력과 외력의 복합하중에 대한 파괴인성 KIC를 계산하였다. 균열이 존재하는 EGW용접부의 파괴기준$K_{IC}$를 살펴보면, 중첩된 경우가 순수 외부하중(굽힘하중)만 작용하는 경우 보다 파괴 인성치가 다소 감소하는 경향을 보였다. a/W가 작을 경우 중첩의 경우가 순수 외부하중(굽힘하중)만의 경우보다 파괴인성치 차이가 크나, a/W가 증가함에 따라 그 차이가 점차 없어지는 것으로 나타났다.

A qualitative evaluation method for engine and its operating-envelope using GSP (Gas turbine Simulation Program)

  • Regarding to the project SUAV (Smart Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) in KARI (Korea Aerospace Research Institute), several engine configurations has been evaluated. However it's not an easy task to collect all the necessary data of each engine for the analysis. Usually, some kind of modeling technique is required in order to determine the unknown data. In the present paper a qualitative method for reverse engineering is proposed, in order to identify some design patterns and relationships between parameters. The method can be used to estimate several parameters that usually are not provided by the manufacturer. The method consists of modeling an existing engine and through a simulation, compare its transient behavior with its operating envelope. In the simulation several parameters such as thermodynamics, performance, safety and mechanics concerning to the definition of operation-envelope, have been discussed qualitatively. With the model, all engine parameters can be estimated with acceptable accuracy, making possible the study of dependencies among different parameters such as power-turbine total inertia, TIT, take-off time and part load, in order to check if the engine transient performance is within the design criteria. For more realistic approach and more detailed design requirements, it will be necessary to enhance the compressor map first, and more realistic estimated values must be taken into account for intake-loss, bleed-air and auxiliary power extraction. The relative importance of these “unknown” parameters must be evaluated using sensitivity analysis in the future evaluation. Moreover, fluid dynamics, thermal analysis and stress analysis necessary for the resulting life assessment of en engine, will not be addressed here but in a future paper. With the methodology presented in the paper was possible to infer the relationships between operation-envelope and engine parameters.

메탄-공기 예혼합 선회화염에서 수소첨가와 선회강도 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Hydrogen Addition and Swirl Intensity in CH4-Air Premixed Swriling Flames)

  • The combustion characteristics of methane/hydrogen pre-mixed flame have been investigated with swirl stabilized flame in a laboratory-scale pre-mixed combustor with constant heat load of 5.81 kW. Hydrogen/methane fuel and air were mixed in a pre-mixer and introduced to the combustor through a burner nozzle with different degrees of swirl angle. The effects of hydrogen addition and swirl intensity on the combustion characteristics of pre-mixed methane flames were examined using particle image velocimetry (PIV), micro-thermocouples, various optical interference filters and gas analyzers to provide information about flow velocity, temperature distributions, and species concentrations of the reaction field. The results show that higher swirl intensity creates more recirculation flow, which reduces the temperature of the reaction zone and, consequently, reduces the thermal NO production. The distributions of flame radicals (OH, CH, C2) are dependent more on the swirl intensity than the percentage of hydrogen added to methane fuel. The NO concentration at the upper part of the reaction zone is increased with an increase in hydrogen content in the fuel mixture because higher combustibility of hydrogen assists to promote faster chemical reaction, enabling more expansion of the gases at the upper part of the reaction zone, which reduces the recirculation flow. The CO concentration in the reaction zone is reduced with an increase in hydrogen content because the amount of C content is relatively decreased.

SPR 접합법을 이용한 Al-5052 인장-전단 시험편의 피로강도 (Fatigue Strength of Al-5052 Tensile-Shear Specimens using a SPR Joining Method)

  • Self-piercing riveting(SPR) is a mechanical fastening technique which is put pressure on the rivet for joining the sheets. Unlike a spot welding, SPR joining does not make the harmful gas and $CO_2$ and needs less energy consumption. In this study, static and fatigue tests were conducted using tensile-shear specimens with Al-5052 plates for evaluation of fatigue strength of the SPR joints. During SPR joining process for the specimen, using the current sheet thickness and a rivet, the optimal applied punching force was found to be 21 kN. And, the maximum static strength of the specimen produced at the optimal punching force was 3430 N. During the fatigue tests for the specimens, interface failure mode occurred on the top substrate close to the rivet head in the most high-loading range region, but on the bottom substrate close to the rivet tail in the low -loading range region. There was a relationship between applied load amplitude $P_{amp}$ and lifetime of cycle N for the tensile-shear, $P_{amp}=3395.5{\times}N^{-0.078}$. Using the stress-strain curve of the Al-5052 from tensile test, the simulations for fatigue specimens have been carried out using the implicit finite element code ABAQUS. The relation between von-Mises equivalent stress amplitude and number of cycles was found to be ${\sigma}_{eq}=514.7{\times}N^{-0.033}$.

가솔린기관의 회전수 변화에 따른 실린더 벽면온도 변화 및 기관성능에 관한 연구 (An Study on the Cylinder Wall Temperature and Performance of Gasoline Engine according to Engine Speed)

  • The purpose of this study is preventing the stick, scuffing, scratch between piston and cylinder in advance, and obtaining data for duration test in actual engine operation. The temperature gradient in cylinder bore according to coolant temperature were measured using $1.5{\ell}$ class diesel engine. 20 thermocouples were installed 2mm deep inside from cylinder wall near top ring of piston in cylinder block, at which points major thermal loads exist. It is suggested as proper measurement points for engine design by industrial engineers. Under full load and $70^{\circ}$, $80^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$ coolant temperature conditions, the temperature in cylinder block and engine oil increased gradually according to the increase of coolant temperature, the siamese side temperature of top dead center is $142^{\circ}C$ in peripheral distribution, that is about $20^{\circ}C$ higher than that at thrust, anti-thrust, and rear side temperature, respectively. The maximum pressure of combustion gas in $70^{\circ}C$ coolant temperature is about 2 bar lower than those of $80^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$ coolant temperature. The engine torque in $80^{\circ}C$, $90^{\circ}C$ coolant temperature condition is about 4.9Nm higher than that of $70^{\circ}C$ coolant temperature.

폐플라스틱의 吹入에 따른 高爐 爐況解析 (Analysis of Furnace Conditions with Waste Plastics Injection into Blast Furnace)

  • 현재 용도 폐기된 플라스틱의 대부분은 소각 또는 매립 처리되고 있기 때문에 사회적 문제가 되고 있다. 폐플라스틱을 효과적으로 재활용하기 위한 방법론의 하나로서, 고로공정에서의 연료화 기술이 개발되어 유럽 및 일본의 선진 제철소에서는 실용화 단계에 이르고 있다. 본 연구에서는 포항제철 주물선고로 풍구 4본을 대상으로 2종류의 폐플라스틱 130 ton을 연속적으로 시험취입조업을 하였다. 취입비 13.8kg/thm까지의 코크스 치환율은 0.98kg-coke/kg-plastic으로 평가되었으며, 폐플라스틱의 종류에 따른 영향은 나타나지 않았다. 폐플라스틱의 취입량이 증가할 수록 송풍압은 증가하였으며, 고로내 통기성도 악화되어 노체 하부의 열부하가 증대하는 경향을 나타냈다. 또한 폐플라스틱 취입량이 증대될수록 노정가스 이용율과 shaft효율이 감소하는 것으로 해석할 수 있었다.

10뉴턴급 추진력의 액체로켓 개발 및 발사시험 (Development and Launching Test of 10N Class Liquid Propellant Rocket)

  • 본 연구에서는 과산화수소 분해 반응을 이용하여 세계 최초로 10뉴턴 급의 추진력을 갖는 액체 추진 소형 모델 로켓을 제작하고 발사 시험을 하였다. 일련의 설계를 통해 인젝터에 지름 200${\mu}m$의 오리피스를 7개 만들었고, 목의 지름이 2.5mm 이고 면적비가 2.56인 노즐을 제작하였다. 촉매로 백금을 코팅한 아이솔라이트(Isolite)를 사용하였다. 90wt% 과산화수소를 질소 가스를 통해 20bar로 가압하여 촉매 베드의 길이와 베드에 올린 백금의 적재량을 변수로 하여 추력 실험을 행하였다. 그 결과, 5wt%의 백금을 4cm의 베드에 올렸을 때 가장 높은 $c^*$ 효율과 추력 안전성을 보여주었다. 경량화를 위해 로켓의 몸체는 알루미늄으로 만들었으며, 제작한 로켓에서는 솔레노이드 벨브를 통해 유량을 조절하였다. 발사 시험을 행한 결과 비교적 일정한 속도로 10m 가량을 올라갔다.

불응축가스량이 가변전열 히트파이프의 열수송 특성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of NCG Charging Mass on the Heat Transport Capacity of Variable Conductance Heat Pipe)

  • Numerical analysis and experimental study are performed to investigate the effect of heat load and operating temperature on the thermal performance of several variable conductance heat pipe (VCHP) with screen meshed wick. The heat pipe is designed in 200 screen meshes, 500 mm length and 12.7 mm outer diameter tube of copper, water (4.8 g) is used as working fluid and nitrogen as non-condensible gas (NCG). Heat pipe used in this study has evaporator, condenser and adiabatic section, respectively. Analysis values and experimental data of wall temperature distribution along axial length are presented for heat transport capacity, condenser cooling water temperature change, degrees of an inclination angle and operating temperature. These analysis and experiment give the follow findings: For the same charging mass of working fluid, the operating temperature of heat pipe becomes to be high with the increasing of charging mass of NCG. When the heat flux at the evaporator section increases, the vapor pressure in the pipe rises and consequently compresses the NCG to the condenser end part and increases the active length of the condenser. From previous process, it is found out we can control the operating temperature effectively and also the analysis and experimental results are relatively coincided well.

Seismic response of underwater fluid-conveying concrete pipes reinforced with SiO2 nanoparticles using DQ and Newmark methods

  • Concrete pipelines are the most efficient and safe means for gas and oil transportation over a long distance. The use of nano materials and nono-engineering can be considered for enhancing concrete pipelines properties. the tests show that $SiO_2$ nanoparticles can improve the mechanical behavior of concrete. Moreover, severe hazard for pipelines is seismic ground motion. Over the years, scientists have attempted to understand pipe behavior against earthquake most frequently via numerical modeling and simulation. Therefore, in this paper, the dynamic response of underwater nanocomposite submerged pipeline conveying fluid is studied. The structure is subjected to the dynamic loads caused by earthquake and the governing equations of the system are derived using mathematical model via Classic shell theory and Hamilton's principle. Navier-Stokes equation is employed to calculate the force due to the fluid in the pipe. As well, the effect of external fluid is modeled with an external force. Mori-Tanaka approach is used to estimate the equivalent material properties of the nanocomposite. 1978 Tabas earthquake in Iran is considered for modelling seismic load. The dynamic displacement of the structure is extracted using differential quadrature method (DQM) and Newmark method. The effects of different parameters such as $SiO_2$ nanoparticles volume percent, boundary conditions, thickness to radius ratios, length to radius ratios, internal and external fluid pressure and earthquake intensity are discussed on the seismic response of the structure. From results obtained in this paper, it can be found that the dynamic response of the pipe is increased in the presence of internal and external fluid. Furthermore, the use of $SiO_2$ nanoparticles in concrete pipeline reduces the displacement of the structure during an earthquake.
