문형머시닝센터의 구조해석을 통한 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimization for Static Characteristics Analysis of Gantry-Type Machining Centers)

  • Recently, as the demand for high efficiency, multi-function machine tools has increased, domestic machine tool industries are investing in research and development for Gantry-Type Machining centers. In this thesis, for the purpose of evaluating machining accuracy and designing a machine tool structure, a simplified model of the main frame is suggested. The results show the general characteristics of the optimum design, and the approach is shown as practicable for the preliminary design analysis and improvement of a conceptual design of a Gantry-Type Machining center. This paper's results are expected to improve the static characteristics of Gantry-Type Machine centers. The three-dimensional finite element models proved that the modeling method might be applied to real machine tool structures.

  • Machine tools of Gantry type have been performing machine work as a moving machinery. In a large machine tools, the machinery is moving with bed and it is structurally unstable. When the objects are processed, machine tools gets loads in the direction of Z-axis. In other words, the machine tools which become bigger was performed by the trend of complexation. It made that the increased machine weight can't be passed over. In order to enhance manufacturing precision, it needs to compensate Z-axis deflection of weight for machine tools. In this paper, Machine tools of Gantry type were miniaturized and deflection was measured by LVDT sensors. When deflection was measured, block mass weighted 50kg is moving on particular distance. Then, the displacement of fixed point and moving point is measured by recording telemeter.

  • Recently, the demands of the large scale machine tools gradually increase to machine the large parts, such as large scale crankshaft, yaw and pitch bearings for the wind power generator and the vehicle or aircraft components. But the high technology is necessary in order to develop the huge machine tools. Furthermore, the global market of it has been monopolized by a few companies. So, we need to develop the large scale machine tools and study its core technology to rush into the increasing market. In this study, we carried out the researches for the important core technology of a multi-tasking, machine tool; a large scale 5-axis machine tool of gantry type for multi-task machining. This study is focused on the design of large size gantry type multi-axis machine. In the case of large size of machine the cross rail deflection in the X-axis is significant. To reduce the deflection due to the eccentric spindle head, a special hollow type design in the cross rail with outside ram is adapted in this study. Also, the Zig-Zag motion in the Y-axis is inevitable with the gantry geometry, which is by the un-balancing, different motion at the left and the right columns moving. We tried to reduce the influence of Zig-Zag motion using FEM with different loading conditions at the left and the right side column.

  • 대형 5축 문형공작기계는 Gantry가 bed를 따라 절삭, 급송 이송하면서 가공을 수행 한다. 가공을 수행하는 중에 발생하는 오차(Zig-Zag)원인으로써 1) 양쪽 X축 이송모터의 위치오차 제어차이 2) 양쪽 Column의 무게차이에 의해 발생하는 마찰력에 대한 오차 3) spindle 회전력에 따른 오차 3가지의 원인이 있다. 3가지 오차원인을 분석하여 문형공작기계성능을 향상시키기 위해 연구를 진행 하였다. 연구결과로는 첫 번째로 양쪽 Column이 동일한 무게를 갖는 Gantry 구조에서 한쪽 축의 무게를 변경함으로써 마찰력이 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 두 번째로 우리는 스핀들 회전이 미치는 영향을 해석 및 실험하였다. 그리고 우리는 스핀들 회전이 Gantry이송에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다.

  • This research deals with multiple Gantry-type assembly machines for the optimization of PCB assembly line. The automated assembly machine has 6 nozzles which can linearly move the X axis and the Y axis different from the turret type assembly machine. Each machine is optimized while considering the whole line balancing of three machines in assembly process simultaneously. Simulation models are developed using AutoMod for comparison study with single machine operation cases under various conditions such as types and total number of components to evaluate the proposed method.

  • To quickly determine the effect of the substitute component on the machine's performance is very important in the design and manufacturing processes. And minimizing machine cost and maximizing machine quality mandate predictability of machine accuracy. In this study, in order to evaluate the effects of the component's geometric errors and dimensions on the machining accuracy of gantry-type 5-axis machining centers, a geometric error analysis and virtual manufacturing system are developed based on the mathematical model for the shape generation motion of machine tool considering the component's geometric errors and dimensions, the solid modeling techniques and so on.

갠트리 타입 SMD에서 동시 흡착에 의한 효율적 PCB 조립 방안의 시뮬레이션 연구 (An Efficient PCB Assembly Method by Multiple Adsorption with Gantry Type SMD using Simulation)

  • 본 연구에서는 갠트리타입 기종을 사용한 PCB 조립 생산시 생산시스템의 수행도 향상을 위한 방안을 개발하여 제시한다. 갠트리타입의 기종에서는 헤더나 슬롯의 이동보다는 노즐의 교체가 시스템의 수행도 향상에 주된 걸림돌이 되므로 동시흡착을 최대화할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 해법은 피더의 위치와 노즐의 위치를 감안하여 동시흡착을 수행하도록 함으로써 노즐 교체를 최소화하고, 기판당 조립시간의 감소도 이루어지도록 하였다. 제안 해법의 유효성을 입증하기 위해 시뮬레이션 모형을 구축하고 부품의 수를 변화시켜가면서 다음 작업대상피더와 교체노즐의 선정을 다양하게 하여 여러 운영방안들의 수행도와 비교 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 동시흡착을 유도하는 노즐교체를 할 경우 전반적인 수행상태가 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

이형 부품 표면실장기에 대한 겐트리 경로 문제의 최적 알고리즘 (Optimization Algorithm of Gantry Route Problem for Odd-type Surface Mount Device)

  • This paper proposes a methodology for gantry route optimization in order to maximize the productivity of a odd-type surface mount device (SMD). A odd-type SMD is a machine that uses a gantry to mount electronic components on the placement point of a printed circuit board (PCB). The gantry needs a nozzle to move its electronic components. There is a suitability between the nozzle and the electronic component, and the mounting speed varies depending on the suitability. When it is difficult for the nozzle to adsorb electronic components, nozzle exchange is performed, and nozzle exchange takes a certain amount of time. The gantry route optimization problem is divided into the mounting order on PCB and the allocation of nozzles and electronic components to the gantry. Nozzle and electronic component allocation minimized the time incurred by nozzle exchange and nozzle-to-electronic component compatibility by using an mixed integer programming method. Sequence of mounting points on PCB minimizes travel time by using the branch-and-price method. Experimental data was made by randomly picking the location of the mounting point on a PCB of 800mm in width and 800mm in length. The number of mounting points is divided into 25, 50, 75, and 100, and experiments are conducted according to the number of types of electronic components, number of nozzle types, and suitability between nozzles and electronic components, respectively. Because the experimental data are random, the calculation time is not constant, but it is confirmed that the gantry route is found within a reasonable time.

  • A high speed feeding type laser cutting UC is developed for the precise cutting of sheet metal. The M/C is a flying optics type one with specified functions of movability and strength in order to increase workability. The gantry frame should be moved with a certain velocity within a relatively short time for the proper cutting of object materials. The gantry is actuated by rack and pinion. In this paper, modal and structural analysis for a laser culling M/C, is carried out in development of the machine The machine is modeled by placing proper shell and solid finite elements and fictitious mass properties to represent the real one.
