  • According to 2008 game white paper, it is reported that both the game developer's and the gamer's dissatisfactions about a game design have been increased recently. It is required to enhance the style of the development work flow and the communication manners to reduce such dissatisfactions. This paper suggests a method which can be used not only to simplify the development work flow but also to provide a satisfactory communication skill between the developer and the users. By speculating the mental recognition model, a knowledge representation model based on UML(Unified Modeling language) has been devised. Our approach can be successfully employed to conceive the user feedback and to articulate the original game design elements, thus provides a more concrete and flexible design process.

  • Most battleship warfare M&S systems run relatively slow and the simulation results are often unfair since the system should interact with human operators(controller and/or gamer). To deal with these problems, we have proposed the agent-based battleship warfare M&S system which interact with multiple agent systems instead of human operators. Agent-based M&S system may be able to efficiently support the analysis of effectiveness and/or the operational tactics development of given warfare by providing autonomous reasoning capabilities without the intervention of human controller. To do this, the paper propose the design concept and methodology using the advanced modeling and simulation framework as well as autonomous agent design principle. Several simulation tests performed on the battleship warfare case study on Korea Yellow sea will illustrate our techniques.

  • With the development of ICT technology, the game industry is growing rapidly. However, due to the excessive play of the game, there are cases where normal life is difficult. It is necessary to study the diagnosis and countermeasures against such game addiction. This paper study a system for diagnosing game addiction based on game usage information of game users. In order to develop a game addiction diagnostic system, this study classifies game addiction and abuse users and collects and models log information in real game environment. In addition, the addiction and good use model of game users was used as a knowledge to diagnose the addiction of new game users. Through the experiment, we could confirm the meaningful results. Also, according to the result of the diagnosis, the service such as SMS and reporting was suggested.
