  • The augmented reality toy-game is a kind of new game genre that can be seen within the concept of augmented reality games, and it is a term to refer to the content or hardware that plays the game using the toy of the real world. This study aims to analyze the elements for the model of toy-game development based on the augmented reality. This study analyzed three characteristics of toy game which are different from other games based on existing related research. and have selected important factors to consider when developing augmented reality toy-game. A questionnaire was conducted to determine the suitability of the development elements derived, and the analysis and verification of the factors derived using an exploratory analysis method. As a result, it showed a reasonable outcome of the selection of variables, with the exception of some of the questions, and the classification results of the multi-dimensional scaling methods were also classified as reasonable in the clustering analyses.

  • As the online game industry has been growing rapidly, more and more malicious activities to gain economic benefits have been reported as well. Game bot is one of the biggest problems in the online game industry. So we proposed a bot detection method based on the ERG theory of motivation for the first time. Most of the previous studies focused on behavior-based detection by monitoring patterns of the specific actions. In this paper, we applied the motivation theory to analyze user behaviors on a real game dataset. The result shows that normal users in the game followed the ERG theory of motivation in the same way as it works in real world. But in the case of game bots, the theory could not be applied because the game bot has specific reasons, unlike normal game users. We applied the ERG theory to users to distinguish game bot users from normal users. We detected the game bot with high accuracy of 99.78% by applying the theory.

  • Communication as a process of interpreting signs has always existed in people's life. In post-information society, the communication between a person and a technological system through the specific sign-attaching process becomes widespread. Moreover, it somehow replaces usual communication between people. One of the means of communication in the digital space are video games. They not only play an important role in communication processes, but also are a special case of sign-creating and interpreting. The purpose of the article is to examine video games as a space of sign-based communication between a person and a game as a specific digital system. With the help of general scientific and hermeneutic methodology, the analysis of video games as a post-information society phenomenon which people communicate to has been conducted. The process of semiosis as attaching special meanings to signs has been traced in both manipulating in-game objects and characters and understanding rules of an in-game world.

  • Recently, many studies on the supply chain management have been published due to increasing attention placed on the design and performance analysis of the supply chain as a whole. Using the Beer distribution game introduced in Sterman[1995], we develop a simple order-up-to-R inventory model to minimize sum of the inventory holding cost and shortage cost under probabilistic demand. We show that performance of the model is robust through extensive simulation experiment. Applying the model to serially connected supply chain, we observe that, if the unit shortage cost is relatively high, R value computed independently is an optimal solution.

  • This study first tries to investigate factors that determine the quality of mobile game contents. Based on the information and information system-related studies, our research proposes to show the relationships among the quality of mobile game contents, the level of perceived easy of use and the perceived usefulness. Mobile game contents service providers can get insight on factors that should be considered to improve the quality of contents services. Also, the research findings provide a clue on the success of mobile game service.

  • The educational computer game service, due to its entertainment role, is a very attractive tool for students to raise their interests in learning. Especially mathematics, the most difficult subject for many students, is one of the typical subjects in which the educational computer game service can be efficiently applied. Most of the previous game services is for single or two learners. And learner only have to simply submit a solution for the proposed math expression in the game. In this paper a multi-player game service based on TCP/IP socket programming technique is designed and implemented to join in the game for multiple learners. In addition, we design a game rule to improve learners' number sense by letting them arrange various ways to solve the problem. Finally, using the requirements of educational game service, we evaluate the proposed game service and its usability.

  • As more and more advanced technology implemented in Computer Game, various of technical skill must be applied to satisfy the demand of the users specifically in the immersion and convenience of the games. As a result, The number of interactive games, which are controlled by user's physical action so that make the games more immersible, are increasing. In Addition, as the amount of information that happens in the games increases, many studies are going on to provide efficient user-interface. In this study, we develop an interactive game using a controller designed by us, which consist of Wii controller and an attached secondary display that provides game information to user. In addition, we conduct a survey with questions about immersion and convenience of the game to understand how users feel when doing the suggested game, and to compare our game environment with general FPS game environment that uses mouse and keyboard.

  • Game bot playing is one of the main risks in Massively Multi-Online Role Playing Games(MMORPG) because it damages overall game playing environment, especially the balance of the in-game economy. There have been many studies to detect game bot. However, the previous detection models require continuous maintenance efforts to train and learn the game bots' patterns whenever the game contents change. In this work, we have proposed a machine learning technique using the self-similarity property that is an intrinsic attribute in game bots and automated maintenance system. We have tested our method and implemented a system to major three commercial games in South Korea. As a result, our proposed system can detect and classify game bots with high accuracy.

  • This paper studies current market of smart phone game and suggests the new earning model. In paper, it is not just for spending free time but seeking profits to play game. Making profits is operated in mutual beneficial way. First, a partnership company cooperates with a game company. And then the partnership company issues coupons about its product which game players can get in game and can use in real. by this way, the partnership company can expect the advertising effect. Besides, game company can spare some burden about earning by cooperation. Eventually It is respected that users spend their money and purchase products with coupon they get in game on offline shop. In this paper, the earning model is integrated in real platform and explain the process.
