  • On today, online community that is irrespective to geometrical area and time has been appeared by information technology and development of internet. It has been significant decision method of a personal and company. And online community is variously classified by it's purpose. Among online community, online game community is be roughly classed as community in online game and community in related online game. Community in related online game community is means for interchanging informations using e-mail, bulletin board, so as on. These information contain game playing, game contents so as on. And community in online game is implemented as team, item exchange, chatting etc. Importance of community in online game and community in related online game have been increased. But online game community is not distinguished, comparing with importance of it. So, in this paper, we study on the case analysis of cyworld's community that developed characteristic community. Cyworld community is suitable for new generation and korean life style, method of adaption online game. • The purpose of this study were to investigate 1) present condition of children's usage of computer game, 2) difference in extent of immersing in computer game according to grade, and 3) difference in extent of immersing in computer game according to conditions of computer game usage. A total of 239 children from 1st to 3rd grade in an elementary school in Busan were surveyed with two kinds of questionnaires about usage of and immersion in computer game. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 program. It was revealed that the 1st graders showed higher scores on experience of computer game, frequency of computer game per week, and amount of time for each computer game than the 3rd graders. However, there were no significant differences in extent of immersing in computer game according to grade and to conditions of computer game usage. The findings of this study implies that the age of using computer game is going down rapidly. Discussions and suggestions for further study were provided.

  • The development of network technology has made rapid growth for online gaming industry on the Internet. Recently, game players have been wanting for a free migration on the game character for game player managed by online game servers of different types. Existing research on the acceptance of the game players demands have suggested migration model of the game character. However, the game Character Migration Process between the game server of different types migration is focused only, and safety issue that is necessary in an online transaction is overlooked. Therefore, ensure the safety of transactions information and when a dispute arises is necessary countermeasures. In this paper, Secure game Character Migration System (SCMP) using dual signature method when migrating game characters between the game servers of different types based on existing research is propose and looks to examine the safety.

  • Virtual Reality(VR) is one of the most remarkable technologies in the current game industry. Nevertheless, it is difficult for the game industry to actively invest in the VR technology because of the technical problems to overcome and the uncertainty about the market possibility. Therefore, this study attempts to estimate the future possibilities of the VR game market in various angles. For the purpose, we explore the domestic game market from the past to the present, and forecast the game industry ecosystem using the Scenario Network Mapping. Based on the result, we propose a short and long term future prospect and suggest the possible strategies for each stakeholder of the VR game market.

  • This study examined preschoolers' usage of internet-games in a family context as well as their level of addiction to these games. Participants in this study were 221 mothers of preschoolers (111 boys, 110 girls) in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Lee's (2006) Internet-Game Addiction Scale for Preschoolers was used to assess preschoolers' level of internet-game addiction. Cho's (2010) questionnaire regarding home environment and internet-games was also administered. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA using SPSS WIN 12.0. Results were as follows: firstly, 74.7% of preschoolers were found to play internet-games. Secondly, the level of internet-game addiction was low, but boys showed higher levels of internet-game addiction than girls. Thirdly, preschoolers' level of internet-game addiction was different according to their number of siblings, time spent using internet-games, that age at which internet-games were first used as well as mother's employment status. Based on the results of this study, the danger of preschoolers' internet-game addiction and future directions of research are discussed.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the stress level and HPA axis activity of an internet game addiction group and non-addiction group in adolescents. Methods: A cross-sectional comparative study was performed with 140 male high school students from 9 vocational high schools at W city. Data were collected from July to September, 2012, using a questionnaire for measuring internet game addiction and stress level, blood samples for serum ACTH, and cortisol level for HPA axis activity. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, $X^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient with SPSS/WIN 15.0. Results: The stress level of the internet game addicted group was significantly higher than that of the non-addicted group (p<.001). The serum cortisol level was also significantly higher in the internet game addicted group than in the non-addicted group (p<.026). The serum ACTH level was higher in the internet game addicted group more than in the non-addicted group (p<.072). Conclusion: These results showed that internet game addiction could increase stress level and HPA axis activity in high school adolescents. Thus, a nursing approach to prevent and relieve internet game addiction should be initiated to stabilize the HPA axis of internet game addicted adolescents.

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to propose the contactless gesture-based interface on smart mobile devices for especially rhythm action games. Background: Most existing approaches about interactions of smart mobile games are tab on the touch screen. However that way is such undesirable for someone or for sometimes, because of the disabled person, or the inconvenience that users need to touch/tab specific devices. Moreover more importantly, new interaction can derive new possibilities from stranded game genre. Method: In this paper, I present a smart mobile game with contactless gesture-based interaction and the interfaces using computer vision technology. Discovering the gestures which are easy to recognize and research of interaction system that fits to game on smart mobile device are conducted as previous studies. A combination between augmented reality technique and contactless gesture interaction is also tried. Results: The rhythm game allows a user to interact with smart mobile devices using hand gestures, without touching or tabbing the screen. Moreover users can feel fun in the game as other games. Conclusion: Evaluation results show that users make low failure numbers, and the game is able to recognize gestures with quite high precision in real time. Therefore the contactless gesture-based interaction has potentials to smart mobile game. Application: The results are applied to the commercial game application.

  • This study was a cross-sectional descriptive research that investigate the level of addiction and analyzed the impact of computer game addiction from 20 to 30 years old on communication capabilities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of game addiction according to general characteristics and to confirm the effect of computer game addiction on communication ability. There were a total of 220 participants in the study. This survey for this study was a self-reporting questionnaire, research tools for this study were developed by Lee (2000) using game addiction and Communication ability developed by Frits et al., (1999). Data analysis was analyzed with frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Regression using SPSS 18.0. As a result of analysis, the difference between game addiction and communication ability by gender was appeared to be different under statistical significance levels: game addiction (t=-.9.2, p<0.01), subcomponents of communication ability, concentration (t=7.20, p<0.01), understanding (t=6.13, p<0.01), response (t=6.22, p<0.01), memory (t=2.88, p<0.05). The highest level of game addiction was appeared between 28 and 30 years old under statistical significance (p<0.01). Finally computer game addiction affects understanding, a subcomponent of communication capabilities.

  • The game theoretic analysis in wireless networks can be classified into the jamming game of the physical layer, the multiple access game of the medium access layer, the forwarder's dilemma and joint packet forwarding game of the network layer, and etc. In this paper, the game theoretic analysis about the multiple access game that selfish nodes exist in the IEEE 802.11 DCF(Distributed Coordination Function) wireless networks is addressed. In this' wireless networks, the modeling of the CSMA/CA protocol based DCF, the utility or payoff function calculation of the game, the system optimization (using optimization theory or convex optimization), and selection of Pareto-optimality and Nash Equilibrium in game strategies are the important elements for analyzing how nodes are operated in the steady state of system. Finally, the main issues about the game theory in the wireless network are introduced.
