For research, questionnaire survey was conducted for game users of 10~ 40's, and the collected data was analyzed and processed using the statistics package program SPSS 20.0. The results of the study showed that the Big 5 personality traits had a significant impact on game use, and in the case of Conscientiousness, most of them were positive for use of Adaptive games and most of them had negative effects on Maladaptive game use. Even in personal characteristics, a variable showing a significant influence on game use was found, which showed meaningful effects in game platform, game frequency, and occupation. In subsequent research, it is necessary to identify the variables such as types of games or platforms that can reflect characteristics of games, and to understand what kind of roles play in the relationship between game user characteristics and game use behavior.

  • As the recent developments in the game industry and people's interest in game streaming become more popular, non-professional gamers are also interested in games and buying them. However, it is difficult to judge which game is the most enjoyable among the games released in dozens every day. Although the game sales platform is equipped with the game recommendation function, it is not accurate because it is used as a means of increasing their sales and recommending users with a focus on their discount products or new products. For this reason, in this paper, we propose a game recommendation system based on the users ratings, which raises the recommendation satisfaction level of users and appropriately reflect their experience. In the system, we implement the rate prediction function using collaborative filtering and the game recommendation function using Naive Bayesian classifier to provide users with quick and accurate recommendations. As the result, the rate prediction algorithm achieved a throughput of 2.4 seconds and an average of 72.1 percent accuracy. For the game recommendation algorithm, we obtained 75.187 percent accuracy and were able to provide users with fast and accurate recommendations.

  • User enjoyment is a key factor to understand online and mobile game users' behaviors. This study aims to understand the differences between mobile and online games, and the differences between Korean and Chinese game users in terms of the perceived importance of user enjoyment elements. To use AHP (Analytic Hierarchical Process), we decompose user enjoyment into sub-elements; sensory enjoyment, content enjoyment, enjoyment of the achievement, and enjoyment of interaction. Though the empirical study and independent t-test, we can find that there are the differences in the perceived importance of user enjoyment elements between Korean and Chinese game players, and between mobile and online games. Chinese users more stress on enjoyment of interaction and Korean users more emphasize on enjoyment of the achievement.
