Java is a promising runtime environment for embedded systems because it has many advantages such as platform independence, high security and support for multi-threading. One of the most famous Java run-time environments, Sun's ($PersonalJave^{TM}$) is based on Truffle architecture, which enables programmers to design various GUIs easily. For this reason, it has been ported to various embedded systems such as set-top boxes and personal digital assistants(PDA's). Basically, Truffle uses heavy-weight window managers such as Microsoft vVin32 API and X-Window. However, those window managers are not adequate for embedded systems because they require a large amount of memory and disk space. To come up with the requirements of embedded systems, we adopt Microwindows as the platform graphic system for Personal] ava A WT onto Embedded Linux. Although Microwindows is a light-weight window manager, it provides as powerful API as traditional window managers. Because Microwindows does not require any support from other graphics systems, it can be easily ported to various platforms. In addition, it is an open source code software. Therefore, we can easily modify and extend it as needed. In this paper, we implement Personal]ava A WT using Microwindows on embedded Linux and prove the efficiency of our approach.
Differ from elder generation, active senior possesses the active characteristics of young people. In this research, the active senior users' UX problem was analyzed by Sundar's 'Interface Assessment'. According to Interface Assessment, the user's subjective user experience in GUI interactive can be divided into five elements, which are 'Visible', 'Desired Outcome', 'Immediate Feedback', 'Intuitiveness', 'Perceived Ease of Use'. Based on these five elements, user's behavior and perception experience during interface using were analyzed to classify UX problems. Next, Correlation Analysis was conducted to find out the relationship between the elements of Interface Assessment and user's subjective experience using PSSUQ as comparing data, and SPSS 22 version as statistic software. The result of this research was presented below: First, active senior user's biggest UX problem can be classified with 'Desired Outcome' in App using. Second, the correlation between the two elements, 'Desired Outcome', 'Perceived Ease of Use', and the PSSUQ result was statistically significant, but the correlation between the other three elements, 'Visible', 'Immediate Feedback', 'Intuitiveness', and the PSSUQ result were not statistically significant. According to the result, active senior users do have different characteristics compared with elder generation. The UX problems classified with 'Desired Outcome' and 'Perceived ease of use' apparently affect user's subjective experience, while the problems classified with 'Visible', 'Immediate feedback', 'Intuitiveness' show no evidence in affecting user's subjective experience. This phenomenon could be explained by the cumulative effects of PC or smartphone use. Through the analysis of multiple UX elements in this paper, better App interface could be developed according to active senior's needs.

Limiting amino acids (AAs) for milk production in dairy cows fed on a concentrate diet of corn grain and soybean meal was evaluated in this study. Four lactating and multiparous Holstein cows (in third or fourth parities, with an average body weight of 633 ± 49.2 kg), 8 to 9 weeks into their lactation period, were used in a 4 × 4 Latin square design. The experiment comprised four dietary treatments: (1) no intravenous infusion (control); (2) control plus intravenous infusion of an AA mixture of 6 g/d methionine, 19.1 g/d lysine, 13.8 g/d isoleucine, and 15.4 g/d valine (4AA); (3) control plus intravenous infusion of the AA mixture without methionine (no-Met); and (4) control plus intravenous infusion of the AA mixture without lysine (no-Lys). All animals were fed on a controlled diet (1 kg/d alfalfa hay, 10 kg/d silage, 14 kg/d concentrate mixture, ad libitum timothy hay). The AA composition of the diet and blood were determined using an automatic AA analyzer. Milk composition (protein, fat, lactose, urea nitrogen, and somatic cell counts) was determined using a MilkoScan. The results showed that feed intake for milk production did not differ from that of intravenous infusion using a limiting AA mixture. The 4AA treatment numerically had the highest milk yield (32.4 kg/d), although there was no difference when compared with the control (31.2 kg/d), no-Met (31.3 kg/d), and no-Lys (31.7 kg/d) treatments. The concentration of AAs in blood plasma of cows in all treatments, mainly isoleucine and valine, increased significantly compared with that of control. The no-Met treatment increased (p < 0.05) the concentration of lysine in the blood relative to the control and no-Lys treatments, whereas the no-Lys treatment increased (p < 0.05) the concentration of methionine relative to the control and no-Met treatments. In conclusion, milk production increased when feeding 10 g/d methionine to the cows, together with their concentrate diet of corn grain and soybean meal.
Purpose: Supernumerary nipple or polythelia is one of the developmental anomalies occurring at the embryonic stage and this anomaly usually arises from the milk line. While this atypical feature is determined during early developmental stage, it may not come out obviously or become troublesome until puberty or lactation. Moreover, sometimes it is confused with a pigmented nevus. Methods: Case 1, a 18-year-old woman with intramammary supernumerary breast consisted of another nipple with middle sized areola on the right lower breast was admitted for a $2.8{\times}3.1\;cm$-sized mass on the right breast which was starting appeared 1 year earlier. The preliminary cytological examination of the material obtained by needle aspiration biopsy from the mass was revealed by fibroadenoma with no malignant change. The patient had the surgical excision of the mass and accessory breast. Case 2, a 16 year-old woman admitted for intra-areolar polythelia of the left breast, even she doesn't have any family history of polythelia. Since she wanted surgical correction of her atypical nipple for aesthetic and psychological reasons, we reconstructed the areola using transposition flaps in an S-plasty design. Results: Case 1, the excised supernumerary nipple showed following histological features. In the superficial layer, an acanthotic and hyperpigmented epithelium with elongated rete ridges was found. In the dermis, there were follicles with hairs surrounded by hypertrophic sebaceous glands. In the deepest portion, abundant secretory glomerules and excretory ducts of apocrine gland type were observed. Case 2, follow-up visits 3 months after the procedure showed a satisfactory result with good shape and projection of the nipple. Conclusion: We report two cases of aberrant mammary tissue who underwent surgical correction, including complete breast (with nipple, areola, and glandular tissue) and intra-areolar polythelia according to the Kajava's classification, and the results were satisfactory.
We have implemented the telecommunication management functions based on TMN (Telecommunications Management Network) architecture that is standardized by ISO/ITU-T. TMN has been developed to manage heterogeneous networks, services and equipment. In this paper, we first analyze the detailed functions of EMS (Element Management System) that performs core functions in the subnetwork management of TMN architecture. We propose an implementation method of EMS for efficient subnetwork management and verify its performance and functionality through detailed implementation and various testing. The proposed EMS consists of EML-Manager module and NML-Agent module. The EML-Manager module controls NEL (Network Element Layer) through the CMIP operations on the managed-objects. The NML-Agent module processes the requests from NMS (Network Management System) in upper layer. We have implemented NMS that performs only the NML-Manager function to test the proposed EMS, and we have used NE-Agent that was designed and implemented by the B-ISDN Lab. of Yeungnam University. The implemented EMS has three management functions: configuration management function, performance management function, and fault management function. We confirmed that the EMS operated normally as we tested the EMS. As further research works, the implementation of NMS with both NML-Manager function and SML-Agent function is required.
This study aimed to summarize published epidemiological evidence for the relationship between pancreatitis and subsequent risk of pancreatic cancer (PC). We searched Medline and Embase for epidemiological studies published by February $5^{th}$, 2014 examining the risk of PC in pancreatitis patients using highly inclusive algorithms. Information about first author, year of publication, country of study, recruitment period, type of pancreatitis, study design, sample size, source of controls and attained age of subjects were extracted by two researchers and Stata 11.0 was used to perform the statistical analyses and examine publication bias. Odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated with the random effects model. A total of 17 articles documenting 3 cohort and 14 case-control studies containing 14,667 PC cases and 17,587 pancreatitis cases were included in this study. The pooled OR between pancreatitis and PC risk was 7.05 (95%CI: 6.42-7.75). Howeever, the pooled ORs of case-control and cohort studies were 4.62 (95%CI: 4.08-5.22) and 16.3 (95%CI: 14.3-18.6) respectively. The risk of PC was the highest in patients with chronic pancreatitis (pooled OR=10.35; 95%CI: 9.13-11.75), followed by unspecified type of pancreatitis (pooled OR=6.41; 95%CI: 4.93-8.34), both acute and chronic pancreatitis (pooled OR=6.13; 95%CI: 5.00-7.52), and acute pancreatitis (pooled OR=2.12; 95%CI: 1.59-2.83). The pooled OR of PC in pancreatitis cases diagnosed within 1 year was the highest (pooled OR=23.3; 95%CI: 14.0-38.9); and the risk in subjects diagnosed with pancreatitis for no less than 2, 5 and 10 years were 3.03 (95%CI: 2.41-3.81), 2.82 (95%CI: 2.12-3.76) and 2.25 (95%CI: 1.59-3.19) respectively. Pancreatitis, especially chronic pancreatitis, was associated with a significantly increased risk of PC; and the risk decreased with increasing duration since diagnosis of pancreatitis.

Results: A total of 9 articles documented 5 cohort and 4 case-control studies containing 10,630 cancer cases and 14,608 women with a history of GDM were included in this review. Taken together, the pooled odds ratio (OR) between GDM and breast cancer risk was 1.01 (0.87-1.17); yet the same pooled ORs of case-control and cohort studies were 0.87 (0.71-1.06) and 1.25 (1.00-1.56) respectively. There are indications that GDM is strongly associated with higher risk of pancreatic cancer (HR=8.68) and hematologic malignancies (HR=4.53), but no relationships were detected between GDM and other types of cancer. Conclusions: Although GDM increases the risk of certain types of cancer, these results should be interpreted with caution becuase of some methodological flaws. The issue merits added investigation and coordinated efforts between researchers, antenatal clinics and cancer treatment and registration agencies to help attain better understanding.

In medical image processing, if new technologies arc developed, they arc applied to real clinical cases. The results are to be analyzed by doctors to improve the new technologies. So, it is important for doctors to have a tool that helps the doctors in applying the new technologies to clinical cases and analyzing the clinical results. In this paper, we design and implement a visual programming environment where non-programming experts, such as medical doctors, can easily compose a medical image processing application program. A set of image processing functions are implemented and represented as icons. Thc user selects functions by clicking correslxmding icons. The users can easily find necessary' functions from the visualized library. A user selects a function from the visualized library and [Jut the function node into a canvas of Visual Programming Interface. The user connects nodes to compose a dataflow diagram. The connected dataflow diagram shows the now of the program. Hyperbolic Tree is helpful in visualizing a set of function icons in a single screen because it provides both the whole stmcture of the function Iihrary and the details of the focused functions at the same time. We also developed a CUI builder where the user interfaces of the medical image processing applications are composed. Therefore. non'programming experts such as physicians can apply new medical image processing algorithms to clinical cases without performing complex computer programming procedures.
The current industrial development and the increase of population in Daecheong Reservoir basin have produced a rapid increase of wastewater discharge. This has resulted in problem of water quality control and management. Although many efforts have been carried out, reservoir water quality has not significantly improved. In this sense, the development of water quality management system is required to improve reservoir water quality. The goal of this study is to design a GIS-based water quality management system for the scientific water quality control and management in the Daecheong Reservoir. For general water quality analysis, WASP5 model was applied to the Daecheong Reservoir. A sensitivity analysis was made to determine significant parameters and an optimization was made to estimate optimal values. The calibration and verification were performed by using observed water quality data for Daecheong Reservoir. A water quality management system for Daecheong Reservoir was made by connecting the WASP5 model to ArcView. It allows a Windows-based Graphic User Interface(GUI) to implement all operation with regard to water quality analysis. The proposed water quality management system has capability for the on-line data process including water quality simulation, and has a post processor far the reasonable visualization for various output. The modeling system in this study will be an efficient NGIS(National Geographic Information System) far planning of reservoir water quality management.

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to examine the expected role and competency of future public health dental hygienist. Methods: This study was cross-sectional design. One dental hygienist per 16 cities and provinces was selected from the list of Korea Society of public dental hygienists. After signing in the informed consent, the interview was carried out. Transcripts were made after each interview. Six researchers recorded meaningful contents in the transcripts. They classified and integrated the information that they had recorded commonly or not. Their opinions were converged by conference. Two supervisors verified results whether they were derived from actual recordings for the reliability of the results. The records were confirmed once again and corrected into common message. Results: The main difficult subjects in public health official examination were public health, English, and medical legislation to pass the examine. The preliminary certificates included public health related certificate, computer certificate, and driver's license. In the personality aspect, creativity, activeness, cooperation and good responsibility were very important trait to public health official. Among 16 interviews, 9 were positive and 5 were negative about the future prospects of a public dental hygienist. Conclusions: The future of public health dental hygienist will be positive. Throughout effort to prepare for the public health official, the public health dental hygienist will be expanded and in many ways the dental hygienists will take the charge of the important parts of the public health administration in the near future.
