Because mountain area covers a large proportion of entire country, the forest fire have been an important matter in disaster prevention in Korea. Estimation of damaged area after forest fire would be very important because it would be the basis to make budget or to calculate quantities in the restoration plan for the damaged area. In Korea, the damaged area from forest fire is generally surveyed using GPS. In practice, however, the estimation of damaged area from forest fire have been inaccurate in lots of case due to some problems. Korea Forest Service which is taking charge of prevention of forest fire in Korea is managing a large number of helicopters for forest service on the whole country. So, it would be possible to take snapshots of the damaged area after forest fire from the helicopter using a digital camera. This study aims to establish a suitable method to estimate damaged area after forest fire using snapshots which are taken in the air using a digital camera. So, several approaches were implemented and compared. In future, results of this study could be used in a development of a system for investigation of damages from forest fire using digital photographs.

The purpose of this study is to identify the level of masseter muscle tension according to the levels of restricted movement and pain in the temporomandibular joint(TMJ), thereby verifying the fact that excessive masseter muscle tension can be a cause for restricted movement and pain in the TMJ. The subjects of this study were 81 men and women in their 20s and 30s, who feel uncomfortable with their masticatory function on the preferred chewing side. The subjects were measured in terms of the range of motion (ROM) and deviation of the TMJ and the degree of pain in the affected region. The ROM and deviation of the TMJ were measured using the Global Posture System(GPS) after instructing each subject to open his/her mouth to the fullest and taking photos of the subject with a digital camera. The tension of the masseter muscle was measured with a Pressure Threshold Meter(PTM). After the measurements, in order to compare the ROM of the TMJ, the subjects were divided into two groups based on the ROM of above 35mm and below 35mm. For the deviation and pain, based on the average of total subjects, the subjects were divided into two groups of above and below average. Thereafter, the levels of masseter muscle tension were compared between each pair of groups. According to the results, when each variable was compared between the respective two groups, in terms of the deviation, the pressure pain threshold(PPT) of the masseter muscle revealed a statistically significant difference(p<.05). However, the ROM and pain showed no statistically significant difference. Consequently, masseter muscle tension may cause restricted movement in the TMJ. In particular, the deviation and tension in the masseter muscle is considered to be a factor that causes deviation in the TMJ.

To reaffirm the use of a mainstream CMOS process for designing passive-like attenuator structures, a linearly controlled variable attenuator is realized with 0.35${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ 2-poly 4-metal CMOS process. It uses the П configuration for large attenuation range and suitable matching property. Compared to conventional passive-like CMOS attenuators, it is demonstrated that this work advances the frequency band from MHz to ㎓ (DC- l㎓), and reduces the size to 700${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$${\times}$300${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$.. Both simulation results and test results are provided. They show the improved linear relation between attenuation and control voltage. It is very useful in CDMA or GSM band, which uses under 1㎓ frequency band. An alternative topology, Bridged-T configuration, is proposed to get over the limit of applications by elevating operation bandwidth. The proposed topology covers over DC-2㎓ frequency band, which means that the proposed architecture can cover the tripleband (800MHz CDMA/GSM, 1.5㎓ GPS, 1.9㎓z PCS system) in applications as well. The simulation results are provided.

The autocorrelation of an alternative binary offset carrier (AltBOC) signal provides an improved positioning accuracy because of its narrow main-peak. However, The AltBOC signal has a disadvantage that the autocorrelation of the AltBOC signal has multiple side-peaks which incur a severe positioning error. In this paper, we propose a generating method of an unambiguous correlation function for AltBOC signal tracking. Specifically, we first obtain symmetric partial correlation functions, and subsequently, we obtain an unambiguous correlation function by combining them. In numerical results, it is confirmed that the proposed correlation function provides better tracking error standard devation (TESD) performances comparing with the conventional correlation functions.

This paper is a follow up to the previous study which reveals that smartphone users are divided into three subcategories according to their usage characteristics. In this paper, these groups are called as 'general', 'entertainment', and 'work-assistant', taking into account their respective characteristics. The 'general' is a group whose smartphone usage characteristics are not focused on a specific purpose, the 'entertainment' is focused on music, internet, SNS, picture, and e-banking, and the 'work-assistant' is on work, GPS, diary. Inter-relation between the importance and satisfaction for the purchase determinants to the groups is investigated. In addition, Kano analysis of quality attributes is also performed, which includes quality type, satisfaction/dissatisfaction index, and PCSI (Potential Customer Satisfaction Improvement) index. The analysis result are as follows. Firstly, inter-relation between importance and satisfaction differs by user group. 'Internet', 'Ease of use', and 'Performance' purchase determinants are evaluated as competitive determinants in 'work-assistant' user group. Secondly Kano quality types of quality characteristics also differs by user group. 'Application' was classified as an attractive (A) types to 'entertainment' group and so on. 'Internet' 'Failure/Bug', 'Touch response rate' and 'Charging' are located in 'Nice' Region of S-PCSI Diagram and have to be considered as strategic quality characteristics. The results of this study is expected to give some helps in establishing a customer tailored quality strategy.

These days, surveying instruments are developing rapidly and the precision is improving continuously. The building of three dimensional terrains of high precision are possible and the calculation of the areas or the volumes have high precision due to the development of the technique of the spatial information system using computer. But actually, in construction site they calculate two-dimensional area using the traditional method, plate table surveying, planimeter, and then get three-dimensional area through multiplying two-dimensional area by the slope correction factor. In this study, we show the defect and inefficiency of the calculation of area by the traditional methods and survey the area with Electric Distance Measurement and GPS instrument. With this data, we made the three dimensional terrain model and calculated two-dimensional area, three-dimensional area. After that, we compared areas that calculated by algorithm of triangulated irregular network and analysis of grid method with standard area that calculated by the traditional method. Finally, this paper suggested more effective and precious method in calculating three-dimensional area.

In this paper, the development of a simulator for the performance estimation and parameter optimization of an integrates voice/data packet communication network is described. The simulator implemented is capable of simulating the integrated voice/data network that handles packet voice terminals as well as data terminals and hosts operating under standard CCITT protocols. Of the three descrete event simulation approaches presently known, the process interaction method has been chose. With this approach one can implement a simulator that is related most Closely with the real system. The simulator has been implemented in PL/I and GPSS simulation languages, resulting in a software package of about 4,000 lines. To reduce the computer run time of the simulator, we have used a method of reducing conditional events based on a GPSS LINK block. We describe various aspects of the simulation model developed. We then investigate the performance of a 7-node network using the simulator, and present the results. For validation of the simulator developed, we construct a simulation model for a simple voice/ data multiplexer, and compare the results of simulation with those of an analytical model.
The localization of multi-agents, such as people, animals, or robots, is a requirement to accomplish several tasks. Especially in the case of multi-robotic applications, localization is the process for determining the positions of robots and targets in an unknown environment. Many sensors like GPS, lasers, and cameras are utilized in the localization process. However, these sensors produce a large amount of computational resources to process complex algorithms, because the process requires environmental mapping. Currently, combination multi-robots or swarm robots and sensor networks, as mobile sensor nodes have been widely available in indoor and outdoor environments. They allow for a type of efficient global localization that demands a relatively low amount of computational resources and for the independence of specific environmental features. However, the inherent instability in the wireless signal does not allow for it to be directly used for very accurate position estimations and making difficulty associated with conducting the localization processes of swarm robotics system. Furthermore, these swarm systems are usually highly decentralized, which makes it hard to synthesize and access global maps, it can be decrease its flexibility. In this paper, a simple pyramid RAM-based Neural Network architecture is proposed to improve the localization process of mobile sensor nodes in indoor environments. Our approach uses the capabilities of learning and generalization to reduce the effect of incorrect information and increases the accuracy of the agent's position. The results show that by using simple pyramid RAM-base Neural Network approach, produces low computational resources, a fast response for processing every changing in environmental situation and mobile sensor nodes have the ability to finish several tasks especially in localization processes in real time.

Lately, becausing Life, property loss from car accident, vehicles have been used vehicle blackbox like blackbox by airplane. when the accident happened, existing car blackbox that was stored external image or video of vehicle don't know the vehicle's driving conditions. For knowing vehicle's driving conditions, vehicle is loaded sensors for Variety of measurement and control. the sensors is controlled by ECU(Electronic Control Unit) and all vehicles is used Mandatory OBD2(On-board diagnostics) protocol for communication between ECUs since 2006. Using ODB2 protocol, driver use blackbox data by various driving data to occur vehicle' ECU and can be obtained more definitive information. In this paper, there implement smart blackbox system to use exact vehicle's data using OBD2 protocol rather than blackbox to store external image or video.
