  • This paper presents field test results of the GPS precise positioning using carrier phase observable. The Least-squares AMBiguity Decorrelation Adjustment(LAMBDA) method is implemented to resolve integer ambiguity problem for two epoch Ll carrier phase measurement data. Field test results show that the GPS precise positioning of cm-level accuracy is obtainable with conventional low cost, single frequency C/A code GPS receivers.

  • As an application of SDINS/GPS integration for its synergistic results, the SDINS alignments utilizing GPS carrier phase rate measurements. A measurement model of GPS carrier phase rate is derived in order to be used with SDINS alignment process. For in-flight alignment, the performance of the suggested SDINS/GPS integration method is analyzed using the covariance analysis and its results are confirmed by those of van test. Consequently, it is shown that all states of the SDINS integrated system by utilizing GPS carrier phase rate measurements can be estimated more efficiently than a general SDINS/GPS during in-flight alignment.

  • In this paper, we propose angular rate computation algorithm using GPS carrier phase. A direct angylar rate masurement has not previously been available form GRS, although its availability is highly desirable for use in state feedback control. So we propose angular rate computationalgorithm which derive angular rate from the velocity of differentiated carrier phase og GPS. The proposed algorithm contains attitude determination using double-differentiated carrier phase and 2 baseline configuration whcih provide more practical applications than 3 baseline.

  • This paper is concerned with the vehicle platooning in the AHS (Automated Highway Systems). For this, a relative navigation system is developed for the vehicles operating as a platoon. The relative navigation system is based on two sensors including GPS and MMWR (Millimeter-Wave Radar) and the federated Kalman Iter processing measurements of them. The architecture of this system requires GPS measurements of a preceding vehicle via communication link.   • Compared with generic GPS receiver, post-processing software GPS receiver has many advantages for high dynamic vehicle tracking. It has the advantage of the application of various tracking algorithms and aiding schemes. The post-processing system observes the carrier phase measurement data from the recorded GPS signals, detects and isolates the cycle slip. The observed carrier phase data and the raw data of the reference station are processed by carrier phase DGPS scheme. And the integer ambiguity resolution algorithm is used for resolving single frequency carrier phase ambiguity. The results of static and real flight test are presented and show that the proposed GPS translator processing system satisfies submeter accuracy.

  • Geodetic Satellite Positioning Techniques (NNSS, Transit, Doppler, VLBI, SLR etc.) still have much difficulty in surveying and necessity of point positions is being amplified in korea. Therefore some research institutes have being investigated point positioning using the GPS. In this study, 1 arranged the theory deal with point positioning using GPS carrier beat phase of dual frequency and estimated corrections of errors that be included in GPS observable. Also, 1 determined point position by the differencing scheme of GPS carrier phase, and analyzed the accuracy of point position. 1 suggested potentiality of geodetic point positioning using GPS carrier phase by comparing result of relative positioning with result of point positioning and analyzing result of network adjustment fixed any point position.

  • For its synergistic relationship, an integrated SDINS/GPS system has been adopted in many navigation areas. As an application of SDINS/GPS integration, the in-flight alignment process of a SDINS utilizing GPS carrier phase measurements is introduced and analyzed via an observability analysis using nul1 space method. A measurement model of double-differenced GPS carrier phase measurements is newly derived in order to be used with a SDINS error model. Also, conditions for determining the complete observability of a SDINS/GPS system are suggested and proved. Consequently, it is shown that the system is not completely observable in case of one basel me. With one baseline aligned with y-axis of body frame, pitch error and x-axis accelerometer bias are unobservable states. Also shown is that al1 states are completely observable when sequential maneuver is performed. Above results are confirmed by a covariance analysis.

  • In general, RTK-GPS(Real Time Kinematic GPS) based on the single reference station is able to determinate the high accurate position of rover on the spot using error correction information of transmitted carrier phase from the base station via wireless modem. However, single reference station method has some weak points to decrease positioning accuracy because it must be obtained carrier phase from the each satellite continuously, allowed to transmit without obstacle and limited to short base line distance between base and rover station. This paper aims to attempt network based GPS carrier phase differential positioning using three multi reference stations to overcome the method of single reference station and RTK network is realized by real time monitoring program with Visual C++. The optimum error correction value of three multi reference stations by RTK networking is selected automatically to correct the position of rover station. In this paper, this algorithm is applied to determine sea water level using GPS buoy, and the accuracy results of water level change were analyzed and compared with each other using single and multi reference stations.

  • This paper describes a multipath estimation method for Global Positioning System (GPS) dual frequency carrier phase measurements. Multipath is a major error source in high precision GPS applications, i.e., carrier phase measurements for precise positioning and attitude determinations. In order to estimate and remove multipath at carrier phase measurements, an array GPS antenna system has been used. The known geometry between the antennas is used to estimate multipath parameters. Dual frequency carrier phase measurements increase the redundancy of measurements, so it can reduce the number of antennas. The unscented Kalman filter (UKF) is recently applied to many areas to overcome some of the limitations of the extended Kalman filter (EKF) such as weakness to severe nonlinearity. This paper uses the UKF for estimating multipath parameters. A series of simulations were performed with GPS antenna arrays located on a straight line with one reflector. The geometry information of the antenna array reduces the number of estimated multipath parameters from four to three. Both the EKF and the UKF are used as estimation algorithms and the results of the EKF and the UKF are compared. When the initial parameters are far from true parameters, the UKF shows better performance than the EKF.
