In this paper, a novel concept based on embedded processor and reconfigurable logic is proposed for efficient manufacturing test and design verification. Unlike traditional gap between design verification and manufacturing test, proposed concept is to combine both design verification and manufacturing test. The semiconductor chip which is using the proposed concept is named "SwToC" and SwToC stands for System with Test On a Chip. SwToC has two main features. First, it has functional verification function on a chip and this function could be made by using embedded processor, reconfigurable logic and memory. Second, it has internal ATE on a chip and this feature also could be made by the same architecture. To evaluate the proposed SwToC, we have implemented SwToC using commercial FPGA device with embedded processor. Experimental results showed that the proposed chip is possible for real application and could have faster verification time than traditional simulation method. Moreover, test could be done using low cost ATE.
The second order rate constants for the hydrolysis of substituted phenyl N,N-diethyl-P-benzylphosphonamidates (2,4-$(NO_2)_2$, 4-$NO_2$, 4-CN, 4-Cl, 4-H)in 20% dioxane-water (v/v) have been determined by UV/Vis spectrophotometric method at various temperatures. The activation parameters (Ea, ${\Delta}H^{\neq}$,${\Delta}S^{\neq}$) were calculated from the rate constants and the reaction constant ($\rho$) was also estimated by Hammett equation. The activation entropies of the title reactions show considerably negative values, this result is not consistent with a dissociative mechanism (EA) in which a positive or a slightly negative value of the entropy of activation should be expected. Further, kinetic evidence for an associative mechanism (AE) was obtained from the linear free energy relationship. By the results of kinetic study for the alkaline hydrolysis of substituted phenyl N,N-diethyl-P-benzylphosphonamidates, it may be concluded that these reactions proceed through an associative mechanism.

This study was initiated to prevent rear-end collision which causes the most frequent human damage by agricultural tractors. Therefore, this study was aimed to evaluate the luminous performance of a stop lamp for an agricultural tractor which could reduce rear-end collision. The performance test of luminous intensity distribution was conducted for a total of 12 tractor models classified by size (above 44 kW for large, 30~43 kW for medium, and below 29 kW for small) and production area (domestic, foreign manufacture) in accordance with Regulation No.7 of UNECE Vehicle Regulations-1958 Agreement considering ${\pm}$20 standard deviation. Three out of 5 large, 3 out of 4 medium, and all small tractors were resulted as inadequate for the test criterion. This study found that the luminous performance results were better as the size of agricultural tractors became bigger. One out of 4 foreign and 2 out of 8 domestic manufacturers were suitable for the test criterion, and overall no difference from the luminosity test results was observed between domestic and foreign manufacturers. In addition, the measuring points, HV, 5L, 5R, 5U and 5D with the minimal luminosity revealed flaws (80% of the proportion of faulty products). Therefore, it is urgent to improve the quality for measuring points (HV, 5U, 5L, 5R, 5D) of stop lamps to apply Regulation No. 7.
This study was conducted to investigate the preference for and recognition of Makgeolli by foreign students to determine its potential for export. From March 15 to 29, 2010, 300 students from four universities (Kyung-Hee University, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Yonsei University, Chung-Ang University) were surveyed and data from 287 subjects were used for subsequent analyses. The recognition of Makgeolli was as follows: 40.3% knew that Makgeolli's was fermented alcohol; 49.5% knew its proof; 85.7% knew that rice and wheat were the main ingredients of Makgeolli; 72.8% knew it was Korean traditional alcohol. The preference for Makgeolli's was as follows: flavor (3.46), color (3.43), aroma (3.30), texture (3.28), reverberation (3.36), shape of glass (3.51) and Korean bar (3.72), which were slightly high. However, hangover (3.02) and plastic bottle (3.08) had lower values than the other variables. Overall, participants were likely to recommend Makgeolli to others (Male 3.57, Female 3.72), but they did not think that it is a good ingredient for food (2.91). The opportunity for the globalization of Makgeolli appeared to be high (Male 3.57, Female 3.74). To improve the export of Makgoelli, respondents reported that a better marketing strategy (37%) and new type of bottle (42.8%) were needed.
Studies were carried out to investigate phenotypic expression, mortality and biochemical analysis of haemolymph proteins of nm-d, nm-f, nm-k and nmn bib-molting mutants of the silkworm, Bombyx mori. The non-molting mutants characters were expressed in the homozygote of each mutant genes. All strains of non-molting mutants were similar with each other in physiological characteristics, but the expression varied with each strains. The larvae of nm-d, nm-i and nmn died between day 5 and day 9 after hatching without the first molt. The nm-f and nm-k mutants died between day 5 and day 16 with a slight increase of body weight and, more than 90% of the mutants larvae died before the first molt and a few of them survived to the 2nd and the 3rd instar and died. The haemolymph protein components of nm-d, nm-i, and nmn were rapidly reduced, and on the other hand those of nm-f and nm-k consistently until they died. And there were no distinguishable difference in haemolymph components of non-molting mutants, as compared to those normals.

From 1990s the Ministry of Education and KERIS have developed nationwide academic resource sharing and service system based on universities, and have contributed to bridge the gap of information and to facilitate resource sharing between universities. Meanwhile, in Japan which starts 15 years earlier than us, the Ministry of Education and NII built nationwide academic resource sharing and service system with starting on the project of university holding resource sharing and until now have shown similar aspect of development like us. But lately, since information environment has been changing rapidly, Japan try to find new paradigm which goes around electronic resources management substitute for physical resources and open access based academic communication, institutional repository which disseminate university's research output to the outside world. This study compare academic resource sharing and service system between Japan and Korea and try to suggest for Korean academic resource sharing and service system development. In Korea, firstly we should try to replacing published resources management system to electronic resources', secondly, reorganizing oversea's resource sharing and service system, thirdly, reactivating institutional repository toward open access, finally, unification of distracted driving force.

Refractoriness of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells to chemotherapeutics represents a major clinical barrier. Suicide gene therapy for cancer has been attractive but with limited clinical efficacy. In this study, we investigated the potential application of herpes simplex virus thymidine kinase/ganciclovir (HSV-TK/GCV) based system to inhibit chemoresistant AML cells. We first generated Ara-C resistant K562 cells and doxorubicin-resistant THP-1 cells. We found that the HSV-TK/GCV anticancer system suppressed drug resistant leukemic cells in culture. Chemoresistant AML cell lines displayed similar sensitivity to HSV-TK/GCV. Moreover, HSV-TK/GCV killing of leukemic cells was augmented to a mild but significant extent by all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) with concomitant upregulation of Connexin 43, a major component of gap junctions. Interestingly, HSV-TK/GCV killing was enhanced by expression of vesicular stomatitis virus G glycoprotein (VSV-G), a fusogenic membrane protein, which also increased leukemic cell fusion. Co-culture resistant cells expressing HSV-TK and cells stably transduced with VSV-G showed that expression of VSV-G could promote the bystander killing effect of HSV-TK/GCV. Furthermore, combination of HSV-TK/GCV with VSV-G plus ATRA produced more pronounced antileukemia effect. These results suggest that the HSV-TK/GCV system in combination with fusogenic membrane proteins and/or ATRA could provide a strategy to mitigate the chemoresistance of AML.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate socioeconomic inequalities in the prevalence of dental caries among an urban population. Methods: This study was conducted among 2000 people 15-40 years of age living in Kurdistan, Iran in 2015. Using a questionnaire, data were collected by 4 trained dental students. The dependent variable was the decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMF) index. Using principal component analysis, the socioeconomic status (SES) of families was determined based on their household assets. Inequality was measured using the concentration index; in addition, the Oaxaca analytical method was used to determine the contribution of various determinants to the observed inequality. Results: The concentration index for poor scores on the DMF index was -0.32 (95% confidence interval [CI], -0.40 to -0.36); thus, poor DMF indices had a greater concentration in groups with a low SES (p<0.001). Decomposition analysis showed that the mean prevalence of a poor DMF index was 43.7% (95% CI, 40.4 to 46.9%) in the least privileged group and 14.4% (95% CI, 9.5 to 9.2%) in the most privileged group. It was found that 85.8% of the gap observed between these groups was due to differences in sex, parents' education, and the district of residence. A poor DMF index was less prevalent among people with higher SES than among those with lower SES (odds ratio, 0.31; 95% CI, 0.19 to 0.52). Conclusions: An alarming degree of SES inequality in oral health status was found in the studied community. Hence, it is suggested that inequalities in oral health status be reduced via adopting appropriate policies such as the delivery of oral health services to poorer groups and covering such services in insurance programs.
Objectives: Subjective life expectancy (SLE) has been found to show a significant association with mortality. In this study, we aimed to investigate the major factors affecting SLE. We also examined whether any differences existed between SLE and actuarial life expectancy (LE) in Korea. Methods: A cross-sectional survey of 1000 individuals in Korea aged 20-59 was conducted. Participants were asked about SLE via a self-reported questionnaire. LE from the National Health Insurance database in Korea was used to evaluate differences between SLE and actuarial LE. Age-adjusted least-squares means, correlations, and regression analyses were used to test the relationship of SLE with four categories of predictors: demographic factors, socioeconomic factors, health behaviors, and psychosocial factors. Results: Among the 1000 participants, women (mean SLE, 83.43 years; 95% confidence interval, 82.41 to 84.46 years; 48% of the total sample) had an expected LE 1.59 years longer than that of men. The socioeconomic factors of household income and housing arrangements were related to SLE. Among the health behaviors, smoking status, alcohol status, and physical activity were associated with SLE. Among the psychosocial factors, stress, self-rated health, and social connectedness were related to SLE. SLE had a positive correlation with actuarial estimates (r=0.61, p<0.001). Gender, household income, history of smoking, and distress were related to the presence of a gap between SLE and actuarial LE. Conclusions: Demographic factors, socioeconomic factors, health behaviors, and psychosocial factors showed significant associations with SLE, in the expected directions. Further studies are needed to determine the reasons for these results.
A complementary DNA encoding metallothionein(MT), a heavy metal-responsive protein was cloned from a cartilaginous shark species. Scyliorhinus torazame. An expressed sequence tag(EST)from the shark liver, which showed high similarity with a MT gene, was isolated and its full-length sequence(390bp)was determined. The putative shark MT cDNA sequence contained an open reading frame consisting 68 amino acids and 182bp of 3-untranslated region including the poly (A+) signal. The deduced amino acid sequence was 41-54% identical to those of other animals including mammals and fish species. Tiger shark MT cDNA showed high conservation in the Cys regions. however, peculiarly contained not only additional five amino acids just prior to the conserved beta-domain but also a Ser residue at C terminal, which has not been seen in other MT sequences.
