  • The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal mixing conditions of three different amounts of spinach powder, butter and egg for the preparation of spinach muffins. The mixing condition for spinach muffins was optimized by response surface methodology. Egg was the most influential on height. The maximum point was achieved with 30.08 g of spinach powder, 247.69 g of butter and 184.97 g of egg. The optimum mixing rates of spinach power, butter and egg were 29.51 g, 252.24 g and 192.33 g for color, 32.43 g, 249.87 g and 180.90 g for overall quality and $28\sim34\;g,\;250\sim260\;g\;and\;175\sim210\;g$ for maximum score of overall organoleptic quality, respectively.

  • AC loss on variation of external magnetic field is a very important factor in development of power applications. In this paper, we measured and compared AC loss of hybrid-multi stacked wire made of the combination of 1G wires and 2G wires and uniform-multi-stacked wire made of one type of wires, 1G wires or 2G wires. Measurement was performed using by the linked-picked coil method. As results, as the number of wires increase, AC loss per unit volume of both stacked wires in low external magnetic field is reduced. Also AC loss of 2G slacked wire is higher than that of 1G wire. AC loss per unit length of 2G stacked wire is less than that of 1G stacked wire. And AC loss of hybrid-multi stacked wire made of the combination of 1G wires and 2G wires was between uniform-multi-stacked wire made of 1G wires and 2G wires.

  • The probabilistic seismic safety assessment is one of the methodology to evaluate the seismic safety of the nuclear power plants. The site characteristics of the nuclear power plant should be reflected when evaluating the seismic safety of the nuclear power plant. The Korea seismic characteristics are strong in high frequency region and may be different from NRC Regulatory Guide 1.60, which is the design spectrum of nuclear power plants. In this study, seismic response of a nuclear power plant structure by Pohang earthquake (2017.11.15. (KST)) is investigated. The Pohang earthquake measured at the Cheongsong seismic observation station (CHS) is scaled to the peak ground acceleration (PGA) of 0.2 g and the seismic acceleration time history curve corresponding to the design spectrum is created. A nuclear power plant of the containment building and the auxiliary buildings are modeled using OPENSEES to analyze the seismic response of the Pohang earthquake. The seismic behavior of the nuclear power plant due to the Pohang earthquake is investigated. And the seismic performances of the equipment of a nuclear power plant are evaluated by the HCLPF. As a result, the seismic safety evaluation of nuclear power plants should be evaluated based on site-specific characteristics of nuclear power plants.

  • At the end of 2013, there were 434 nuclear power reactors in operation worldwide, with a total capacity of 371.6 GW(e), approximately 80 % had been in service 20 years and more. Many Member States have given high priority to licensing their nuclear power plants to operate for terms longer than the time frame originally anticipated(e.g. 30 or 40 years). One of challenges for long term operation is cable ageing management. How can qualify the existing cable under harsh environment in nuclear power plant? The paper described the approaches on qualification, condition monitoring, and management of low voltage cables in nuclear power plant.

  • A current sourced bi-directional wireless power transfer (WPT) system is proposed to solve the problems that exist in the bi-directional WPT for vehicle-to-grid (V2G) systems. These problems include the fact that these systems are not safe enough, the output power is limited and the control methods are complicated. Firstly, the proposed system adopts two different compensation and control methods on both the primary and secondary sides. Secondly, based on an AC impedance analysis, the working principle is analyzed and the parameter configuration method with frequency stability is given. In order to output a constant voltage, a bi-directional DC/DC circuit and a controllable rectifier bridge are adopted, which are based on the "constant primary current, constant secondary voltage" control strategy. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed methods are verified by experimental results.

  • By using nonlinear loads in power line, reactive power and harmonics are occured. In this thesis, on the basis of the instantaneous reactive power theory, the calculation method of compensation current commands and the current control characteristics of active power filter using voltage source PWM converter are presented. The calculation of compensation current is performed by DSP within 50 usec. And the Pl control of current is performed by analog devices. The compensations of harmonic current in rectifier loads and unbalance currents are proved by experiments.

  • Current of DC traction systems flows from the positive busbar of the substation, through the overhead contact system, to the vehicle, and returns through the running rails. Because the rails are not very effectively insulated from the earth a certain amount of current flows into the earth, especially in the area near the load and depots. At the place where the stray current leaves the rail and pipe, corrosion may take place. In this paper we introduce the electrolytic corrosion protection methods of depots using silicon rectifier for the rail.

  • This paper introduces a feasibility evaluation method for prognosis systems based on an empirical model in nuclear power plants. By exploiting the dynamical signature characterized by abnormal phenomena, the prognosis technique can be applied to detect the plant abnormal states prior to an unexpected plant trip. Early $operator^{\circ}{\emptyset}s$ awareness can extend available time for operation action; therefore, unexpected plant trip and time-consuming maintenance can be reduced. For the practical application in nuclear power plant, it is important not only to enhance the advantages of prognosis systems, but also to quantify the negative impact in prognosis, e.g., uncertainty. In order to apply these prognosis systems to real nuclear power plants, it is necessary to conduct a feasibility evaluation; the evaluation consists of 4 steps (: the development of an evaluation method, the development of selection criteria for the abnormal state, acquisition and signal processing, and an evaluation experiment). In this paper, we introduce the feasibility evaluation method and propose further study points for applying prognosis systems from KHNP's experiences in testing some prognosis technologies available in the market.

  • This paper describes a newly developed power conditioner with variable current loop gain. The power conditioner consists of a do-link capacitor and three phase inverter with coupled inductor. This system is very well operated to compensate current harmonics and asymmetries caused by nonlinear load and unbalance loads. The power conditioner shapes the source current sinusoidal in phase with source voltage. A 100kVA power conditioner was built and the controller is realized with DSP Experimental results for many load conditions are presented to verify the performance of the controller.

  • This paper describes a 2.5V, 320MHz low-noise and low-power Phase Locked Loop(PLL) using a noise-rejected Voltage Controlled ring Oscillator(VCO) fabricated in a TSMC 0.25um CMOS technology. In order to improve the power consumption and oscillation frequency of the PLL, The VCO consist of three-stage fully differential delay cells that can obtain the characteristic of high speed, low power and low phase noise. The VCO operates at 7MHz -670MHz. The oscillator consumes l.58mA from a 320MHz frequency and 2.5V supply. When the PLL with fully-differential ring VCO is locked 320MHz, the jitter and phase noise measured 26ps (rms), 157ps (p-p) and -97.09dB at 100kHz offset. We introduce and analysis the conditions in which ring VCO can oscillate for low-power operation.
