퍼지 로직 알고리듬을 이용한 차량 구동력 제어 (Vehicle traction control using fuzzy logic algorithm)

  • The dynamics of the vehicle system has highly nonlinear components such as an engine, a torque converter and variable road condition. This thesis proposes a Fuzzy Logic Algorithm that shows better control performance than Antiwindup PI in the highly nonlinear vehicle system. Traction Control System(TCS), which adjusts throttle valve opening by Fuzzy Logic Algorithm improves vehicle drivability, steerability and stability when vehicle is starting and cornering. When a throttle valve is opened at large degree, Fuzzy Logic Algorithm shows better performances like a small settling time and a small oscillation than Antiwindup PI in simulation. The decreased desired slip ratio improves steerability in the simulation when a vehicle is cornering. The Fuzzy Logic Algorithm has been tested by a 1/5-scale vehicle for tracking the constant desired velocity.

  • A position control algorithm for a flexible manipulato is stuudied. The proposed algorithm is based on a fuzzy theroy with a Steady State Genetic Algorithm(SSGA). The conventional fuzzy methods need expert's knowledges or human experiences. The SSGA, which is one of the optimization algorithms, tunes automatically the input-output membership parameters and fuzzy rules. The computer simulation is presented ot illustrate the approaches. Finally we applied a fuzzy theory with a SSGA to aposition control of a flexible manipulator.

  • The fuzzy control algorithm for HVAC system has been developed for minimizing energy consumption while maintaining the comfort of indoor thermal environment in terms of the environmental variables such as time varying indoor cooling load and outdoor temperatures. The optimal set-points of control parameters with fuzzy control are supply air temperature, chilled water temperature and condenser temperature. This study has been done by using TRNSYS program in order to analyze the HVAC system response. As a result, the fuzzy control algorithm with PID algorithm shows good energy performance in comparison with conventional one.

  • Nowadays, versatile robots are developed around the world. Novel algorithms are needed for controlling such robots. A 2-Layer fuzzy controller can deal with many inputs as well as many outputs, and its overall structure is much simpler than that of a general fuzzy controller. The main problem encountered in fuzzy control is the design of the fuzzy controller. In this paper, the fuzzy controller is designed by the schema co-evolutionary algorithm. This algorithm can quickly and easily find a global solution. Therefore, the schema co-evolutionary algorithm is used to design a 2-layer fuzzy controller in this study. We apply it to a mobile robot and verify the efficacy of the 2-layer fuzzy controller and the schema co-evolutionary algorithm through the experiments.

  • A fuzzy defrost control algorithm for the multi-type heat pump system was developed. In the fuzzy defrost control algorithm, the air temperature difference at the outdoor unit and the refrigerant pressure difference at the compressor were used as input variables, and the defrost starting time and the defrost time interval were used as output variables. This fuzzy algorithm was applied to the multi-type heat pump system and tested in the five dynamic environmental chambers. Test results show that the newly developed control algorithm is more effective than the conventional control algorithm in the removal of frost formed at the outdoor unit of the heat pump.

  • In this research, EOG(Electrooculogram) signal was analyzed to predict the subject's intention using a fuzzy classifier. The fuzzy classifier is built automatically using the EOG data and evolutionary algorithms. An assistant robot manipulator in redundant configuration has been developed, which operates according to the EOG signal classification results. For automatic fuzzy model construction without any experts' knowledge, an evolutionary algorithm with the new representation scheme, design of adequate fitness function and evolutionary operators, is proposed. The proposed evolutionary algorithm can optimize the number of fuzzy rules, the number of fuzzy membership functions, parameter values for the each membership functions, and parameter values for the consequent parts. It is shown that the fuzzy classifier built by the proposed algorithm can classify the EOG data efficiently. Intelligent motion planner that consists of several neural networks are used for control of robot manipulator based upon EOG classification results.

최적의 퍼지제어규칙을 얻기위한 퍼지학습법 (A Learning Algorithm for Optimal Fuzzy Control Rules)

  • A fuzzy learning algorithm to get the optimal fuzzy rules is presented in this paper. The algorithm introduces a reference model to generate a desired output and a performance index funtion instead of the performance index table. The performance index funtion is a cost function based on the error and error-rate between the reference and plant output. The cost function is minimized by a gradient method and the control input is also updated. In this case, the control rules which generate the desired response can be obtained by changing the portion of the error-rate in the cost funtion. In SISO(Single-Input Single- Output)plant, only by the learning delay, it is possible to experss the plant model and to get the desired control rules. In the long run, this algorithm gives us the good control rules with a minimal amount of prior informaiton about the environment.

  • 퍼지 논리 제어기(FLC : Fuzzy Logic Controller)를 사용할 때, 가장 중요한 것은 소속 함수의 범위를 정하는 것과 규칙의 형태를 결정하는 것이다. 소속 함수의 범위나 규칙의 형태는 자금까지 전문가가 임의로 정하는 방법을 사용하였다. 그러나 기존의 방법을 사용하면, 전문가의 주관적인 규칙과 소속 함수가 생성될 수 있고, 소속함수의 경우 최적의 범위를 정확히 예측하기 어려운 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 단점을 보완하기 위해, 유전자 알고리즘을 사용함으로써 최적의 소속 함수와 규칙의 형태를 구하려 하였다. 제시하는 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 자동차 주행 제어 문제에 적용시켜 보았다.

  • Fuzzy Logic Control immitating human decision making process is a novel control strategy based on expert's experience and knowledge and many process designers are developing its applications. But it is difficult to obtain a set of rules from human operator. And there is a limitation on adjusting to environmental changes. In this paper, we proposed adaptive fuzzy algorithm to overcome these difficulties using weights added to the rules. To verify the validity of this control strategy, we have implemented this algorithm for a DC servo motor with PD-type fuzzy controller.

  • The Intelligent Cruise Control system, ICC, is a driver assisting system for controlling relative speed and distance between two vehicles in the same lane. The ICC may be considered as an extension of a traditional cruise control, not only keeping a fixed speed of the vehicle, but correcting the speed also to that of a slower one ahead. This paper presents a real-time self-tuning fuzzy control algorithm to develop ICC. The self-tuning fuzzy control law is adopted to reduce the effects of nonlinearities of the vehicle and various road environments. In the self-tuning algorithm an interior penalty method is applied to preserve the inherent order of membership functions and is modified as an on-line algorithm for real time application. Via simulations, the performance of the suggested control algorithm is compared with a PID and a fuzzy control without self-tuning. The suggested control algorithm is implemented on PRV III and the results of the test driving on a local road are given.
