  • 기존의 K-means 알고리즘은 학습벡터가 단일군집에 할당되는 방법이 crisp 이므로 다른 군집에 할당될 확률을 무시하게 된다. 따라서 군집화 작업과 관련하여 반복적인 코드북 설계 과정에서 각 학습벡터를 다중 군집으로 할당하는 Fuzzy c-means를 사용한다. 또한 Fuzzy c-means 알고리즘의 학습과정에서 구해지는 각 클래스 의 프로토타입에 가중치를 곱하여 다음 학습의 프로토타입으로 사용함으로써 Fuzzy c-means 알고리즘 적용 결과 얻어지는 코트북의 성능을 기존 알고리즘과 비교하여 개선된 Fuzzy c-means 알고리즘을 찾기 위한 근거를 마련한다.

  • As a fuzzy counterpart of stochastic calculus, fuzzy calculus including Liu integral and Liu formula were introduced. In order to deal with the problems with several fuzzy dynamic factors, Liu process, Liu integral and Liu formula are extended to the case of multi-dimensional in this paper.

  • Based on fuzzy logic algorithm this paper constructed fuzzy logic controller for automated vehicles. For passenger's convenience especially comfortability controller need to reduce the frequency of input variable's changing. So we established membership functions for comfortability as mil as speed following. It made possible to control comfortability directly. To demonstration the efficiency of fuzzy logic controller, we carried out simulation with a Automobile's transfer function. First, we designed the PID controller by using Ziegler-Nichols tunning method. Second, we calculated time response for each controller, then we compared the speed patterns of fuzzy controlled system and PID controlled system. Also we compared the difference of input variable. By comparing two controller's response, we can confirm the merit of fuzzy controller about comfortability. Fuzzy controller can reduce input changing frequency.

A Fuzzy PI Controller for Pitch Control of Wind Turbine (풍력 발전기 피치 제어를 위한 퍼지 PI 제어기)

  • When the wind speed rises above the rated wind speed, the produced power of the wind turbines exceeds the rated power. Even more, the excessive power results in the undesirable mechanical load and fatigue. A solution to this problem is pitch control of the wind turbines. This paper presents a systematic design method of a collective pitch controller for the wind turbines using a discrete fuzzy Proportional-Integral (PI) controller. Unlike conventional PI controllers, the fuzzy PI controller has variable gains according to its input variables. Generally, tuning the parameters of fuzzy PI controller is complex due to the presence of too many parameters strongly coupled. In this paper, a systematic method for the fuzzy PI controller is presented. First, we show the fact that the fuzzy PI controller is a superset of the PI controller in the discrete-time domain and the initial parameters of the fuzzy PI controller is selected by using this relationship. Second, for simplicity of the design, we use only four rules to construct nonlinear fuzzy control surface. The tuning parameters of the proposed fuzzy PI controller are also obtained by the aforementioned relationship between the PI controller and the fuzzy PI controller. As a result, unlike the PI controller, the proposed fuzzy PI controller has variable gains which allow the pitch control system to operate in broader operating regions. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is verified with computer simulations using FAST, a NREL's primary computer-aided engineering tool for horizontal axis wind turbines.

  • Direct Torque Control(DTC) is considered to be an useful control scheme of high performance induction motor drives because the scheme provides a quick torque response without requiring the complex field-orientation block and inner current regulation loop. Among a few drawbacks of the conventional DTC scheme, large current harmonics due to flux drooping phenomenon in a low speed range may be the major difficulty In order to remove the difficulty, a fuzzy variable switching sector scheme and its real-time implementation algorithm are proposed in this paper. A DSP based control board is designed for the Induction motor drives with the DTC scheme including the fuzzy switching sector algorithm. Simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

  • As constantly increasing wind power penetrates power grid, wind power plants (WPPs) are exerting a direct influence on the traditional power system. Most of WPPs are using variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) wind turbines equipped with doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) due to their high efficiency over other wind turbine generators (WTGs). Therefore, the analysis of DFIG has attracted considerable attention. Precisely measuring optimum reference speed is basis of utilized maximum wind power in electric power generation. If the measurement of wind speed can be easily taken, the reference of rotation speed can be easily calculated by known system's parameters. However, considering the varying wind speed at different locations of blade, the turbulence and tower shadow also increase the difficulty of its measurement. The aim of this study is to design fuzzy controllers to replace the wind speedometer to track the optimum generator speed based on the errors of generator output power and rotation speed in varying wind speed. Besides, this paper proposes the fuzzy adaptive PID control to replace traditional PID control under rated wind speed in variable-pitch wind turbine, which can detect and analyze important aspects, such as unforeseeable conditions, parameters delay and interference in the control process, and conducts online optimal adjustment of PID parameters to fulfill the requirement of variable pitch control system.

  • We propose an algorithmic approach for handling linguistic values defined in the same linguistic variable. Using the proposed approach, we can explicitly capture the differences of individuals' subjectivity with respect to linguistic values defined in the same linguistic variable. The proposed approach can be employed as a useful tool for discovering hidden relationship among linguistic values defined in the same linguistic variable. Consequently, it provides a basis for improving the precision of knowledge acquisition in the development of fuzzy systems including fuzzy expert systems, fuzzy decision tree, fuzzy cognitive map, ok. In this paper, we apply the proposed approach to a collective linguistic assessment among multiple experts.
