TS 퍼지 상태 추정에 관한 강인 칼만 필터 (Robust Kalman filtering for the TS Fuzzy State Estimation)

  • In this paper, the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy state estimation scheme, which is suggested for a steady state estimator using standard Kalman filter theory with uncertainties. In that case, the steady state with uncertain can be represented by the TS fuzzy model structure, which is further rearranged to give a set of uncertain linear model using standard Kalman filter theory. And then the unknown uncertainty is regarded as an additive process noise. To optimize fuzzy system, we utilize the genetic algorithm. The steady state solutions can be found for proposed linear model then the linear combination is used to derive a global model. The proposed state estimator is demonstrated on a truck-trailer.

  • The paper presents an approach to the structure identification based on the CART (Classification And Regression Tree) algorithm and to the parameter identification by hybrid learning method in neuro-fuzzy system. By using the CART algorithm, the proposed method can roughly estimate the numbers of membership function and fuzzy rule using the centers of decision regions. Then the parameter identification is carried out by the hybrid learning scheme using BP (Back-propagation) and RLSE (Recursive Least Square Estimation) from the numerical data. Finally, we will show it's usefulness for fuzzy modeling to truck backer upper control.

High-speed Integer Fuzzy Controller without Multiplications

  • In high-speed fuzzy control systems applied to intelligent systems such as robot control, one of the most important problems is the improvement of the execution speed of the fuzzy inference. In particular, it is more important to have high-speed operations in the consequent part and the defuzzification stage. To improve the speedup of fuzzy controllers for intelligent systems, this paper presents an integer line mapping algorithm to convert [0, 1] real values of the fuzzy membership functions in the consequent part to a $400{\times}30$ grid of integer values. In addition, this paper presents a method of eliminating the unnecessary operations of the zero items in the defuzzification stage. With this representation, a center of gravity method can be implemented with only integer additions and one integer division. The proposed system is analyzed in the air conditioner control system for execution speed and COG, and applied to the truck backer-upper control system. The proposed system shows a significant increase in speed as compared with conventional methods with minimal error; simulations indicate a speedup of an order of magnitude. This system can be applied to real-time high-speed intelligent systems such as robot arm control.

Time-Delayed and Quantized Fuzzy Systems: Stability Analysis and Controller Design

  • In this paper, the design methodology of digital fuzzy controller(DFC) for the systems with time-delay is presented and the qualitative effects of the quantizers in digital implementation of a fuzzy controllers are investigated. We propose the fuzzy feed-back controller whose output is delayed with unit sampling period and period and predicted. the analysis and the design problem considering time-delay become very easy because the proposed controller is syncronized with the sampling time. The stabilization problem of the digital fuzzy system with time-delay is solved by linear matrix inequality(LMI) theory. Furthermore, we analyze the stability of the quantized fuzzy system. Our results prove that when quantization os taken into account, one only has convergence to some small neighborhood about origin. We develop a fuzzy control system for backing up a computer-simulated truck-trailer with the consideration of time-delay and quantization effect. By using the proposed method, we analyze the quantization effect to the system and design a DFC which guarantees the stability of the control system in the presence of time-delay.

퍼지 논리 제어기를 위한 최적의 COA 비퍼지화기 (An Optimal COA Defuzzifier for a Fuzzy Logic controller)

  • 본 논문은 퍼지 논리 제어기의 제어 성능을 향상시키는 최적의 COA(Center Of Area) 비퍼지화 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 비퍼지화 방법은 플랜트의 제어를 위해 필요한 확정치(Crisp Value)를 얻기 위해 소속 함수값과 소속함수의 폭을 동시에 이용한다. 주어진 문제에 가장 최적인 소속 함수의 폭은 유전자 알고리즘에 의해 자동적으로 결정된다. 제안한 비퍼지화 방법을 트럭 후진(Truck backer-upper) 제어 문제에 적용하여 얻어진 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 소속 함수만을 고려한 기존의 COA 비퍼지화 방법보다 평균 주행거리 면에서 20% 이상 짧아짐을 확인하였다.

Road-friendliness of Fuzzy Hybrid Control Strategy Based on Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulations

  • Purpose: In order to improve road-friendliness of heavy vehicles, a fuzzy hybrid control strategy consisting of a hybrid control strategy and a fuzzy logic control module is proposed. The performance of the proposed strategy should be effectively evaluated using a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation model of a semi-active suspension system based on the fuzzy hybrid control strategy prior to real vehicle implementations. Methods: A hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation system was synthesized by utilizing a self-developed electronic control unit (ECU), a PCI-1711 multi-functional data acquisition board as well as the previously developed quarter-car simulation model. Road-friendliness of a semi-active suspension system controlled by the proposed control strategy was simulated via the HIL system using Dynamic Load Coefficient (DLC) and Dynamic Load Stress Factor (DLSF) criteria. Results: Compared to a passive suspension, a semi-active suspension system based on the fuzzy hybrid control strategy reduced the DLC and DLSF values. Conclusions: The proposed control strategy of semi-active suspension systems can be employed to improve road-friendliness of road vehicles.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy advance angle control method is described to drive an industrial low voltage SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor) for 10kW forklift truck. SRM has a highly non-linear characteristic that is due to change the rotor and stator. And low voltage SRM is designed that its phase resistance and phase inductance is very low to inject high current into the phase windings. In this reason, the proper current control is necessary to drive the low voltage SRM efficiently. SRM has positive torque at increasing inductance region and negative torque at decreasing inductance region. Due to this reason, the current has to be built up in the increasing phase inductance part as soon as possible. Therefore, the phase switch must be turned on before the phase inductance increases, and this angle is called as the advance angle. Also, the phase current has to be dropped before the phase inductance decreases. Fuzzy logic is a flexible and general-purposed method of implementing non-linear functions and as such it is useful in control applications. Consequently, we designed a fuzzy advance angle controller to control the phase current appropriately.

모멘트 균형점의 효율적 탐색을 갖는 비제산기 COA 비퍼지화기 (A dividerless COA defuzzifier with an efficient searching of momentum equilibrium point)

  • This paper proposes a new COA (center of area) defuzzifier that is working in the accurate and fast manner. The proposed COA defuzzifier involves both membership values and the spans of membership functions in clauclating a crisp value. In additon, it avoid division by replacing the COA calculation with the searching of the momentum equilibrium point. The moment equilibrium point is searched in the coarse-to-fine manner such that the moment computing points during the coarse searching are moved in the interval of fuzzy terms until they are reached at two adjacent fuzzy terms searching method accerlates the finding of the moment equilibrium point by O(M) mazimally when compared iwth the equal interval searching method of ruitz. In order to verify the accuracy of the proposed COA defuzzifier, the crisp values obtained form the proposed coarse-to-fine searching are compared with the precise crisp values from the arithmetic calculation. Application to the truck backer-upper control problem of the proposed COA defuzzifier is presented. The control performance is compared with that of the conventional COA defuzzifier in tems of the average tracing distance.

  • 본 논문은 적응 피지 제어 시스템에 있어 유전자 알고리즘에 대한 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 다중개체군 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 이전의 논문은 염색체를 두부분(제어규칙과 소속함수)으로 분할하였다. 그러나 이런 경우 좋지 못한 제어규칙은 좋은 제어규칙과 잘 진화된 소속함수의 최적화를 방해한다. 다중개체군 유전자 알고리즘에 대한 새로운 방법은 염색체를 세부분(좋은 제어규칙, 좋지 못한 제어규칙 및 소속함수)으로 분할하는 것이다. 이 방법에 대한 효율성을 입증하기 위해 트럭 배킹 문제에 적용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 다중개체군 유전자 알고리즘에 대한 제안된 방법이 좋은 적응성을 보여 주었다.

  • This paper concerns a VHDL design and simulation of an accurate and cost-effective fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The accurcy of the proposed FLC is obtained by using the center of gravity (COG) defuzzifier that considers both membership values and spans of membership functions in calculating a crisp value. The cost-effectiveness of the proposed FLC is obtained by restructuring the conventional FLC in the following ways: Firstly, the MAX-MIN inference is inference is replaced by a read-modify-write operation that can be implemented economically in the structure of register files. Secondly, the division in the COG defuzzifier is avoided by finding the moment equilibrium point. The proposed COG defuzzifier has two disadvantages that it requires additional multipliers and it takes a lot of computation time to find the moment equilibrium point. The first disadvantage is overcome by replacing the mulitpliers with stochastic AND operations and the second disadvantage is alleviated by using a coarse-to-fine searching algorithm. The proposed FLC is described in VHDL structurally and behaviorally and whether it is working well or not is checked on SYNOPSYS VHDL simulator by using the truck backer-upper control problem.
