  • In the first part an overview on fuzzy sets and fuzzy numbers is given. A detailed treatment of these notions is introduced in [1,2,3]. This sintetically presentation is useful in understanding and in developping the applications in context problems. In the second part, fuzzy context model is given as an application of fuzzy sets and the fuzzy equilibrium equation is solved [4,5].

  • In this paper, we consider generalized concepts of cardinality of a fuzzy sets and obtaind some properties of new concepts of fuzzy-valued cardinality of type 2 fuzzy sets as fuzzy-valued functions. Also, we investigate examples for the calculation of the generalized cardinality of fuzzy-valued functions and compared with concepts of cardinality of a fuzzy set and a fuzzy-valued function.

  • In this paper, we are interested in counting the number of elements of a type two fuzzy set. Using concepts of type-two fuzzy sets, we can obtain some properties of these concepts and some results of possibility of type-two fuzzy sets.

  • Recently, Szmidt and Kacprzyk[Fuzzy Sets and Systems 118(2001) 467-477] proposed a non-probabilistic-type entropy measure for intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Tt is a result of a geometric interpretation of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and uses a ratio of distances between them. They showed that the proposed measure can be defined in terms of the ratio of intuitionistic fuzzy cardinalities: of $F\bigcapF^c and F\bigcupF^c$, while applying the Hamming distances. In this note, while applying the Euclidean distances, it is also shown that the proposed measure can be defined in terms of the ratio of some function of intuitionistic fuzzy cardinalities: of $F\bigcapF^c and F\bigcupF^c$.

  • Park et al. [Proc. KFIS Fall Conf. 10(2) (2000), 59-62] defined fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open sets by using an operation ${\gamma}$ on a fts (X, $\tau$) and investigated the related fuzzy topological properties of the associated fuzzy topology $\tau$/seb ${\gamma}$/ and $\tau$. As generalizations of the notion of fuzzy ${\gamma}$-closed sets, we define gf. ${\gamma}$-closed sets and g*f. ${\gamma}$-closed sets and study basic properties of these sets relative to union and intersection. Also, we introduce and study two classes of ftss called fuzzy ${\gamma}$-T* and fuzzy ${\gamma}$-T$_{1}$2/ spaces by using the notions of gf. ${\gamma}$-closed and g*f. ${\gamma}$-closed sets.

  • In this paper, we describe how to represent hand witten decimal digits by a sequence of one to five fuzzy sets. Each fuzzy set represents an arc segment of the digit and is a Cartesian product of four fuzzy sets; the first is fur the arc length of the segment, the second is for the arc direction, the third is fur the arc shape, and the fourth is a crisp number indicating whether it has a junction point and if it has an end point of a stroke. We show that an arbitrary pair of these sequences representing two different digits is mutually disjoint. We also show that various forms of a digit written in different styles can be represented by the same sequence of fuzzy sets and hence the deviations due to different writers can be modeled by using these fuzzy sets.

  • For a fuzzy system modeled by a fuzzy hypergraph, two fuzzy similarity measures are proposed : one for the fuzzy similarity between fuzzy sets and the other between elements in fuzzy sets. The propose measures can represent the realistic similarities which can not be given by the existing measures. With and example, it is shown that it can be used in the behavior analysis in an organization.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of fuzzy strongly (r, s)-semiopen sets and fuzzy strongly (r, s)-semicontinuous mappings on the intuitionistic fuzzy topological space in Sostak's sense and then we investigate some of their characteristic properties.
