The purpose of this article is to give the consideration to possible future research trends and methodological trends of library and information science in Korea. In order to do that, it reviews 10 research papers that are associated with research trends and methodological trends in library and information science and have been published since 1990 in Korea. These 10 papers are divided by three groups for the analysis. The results show that relatively new and various research methods as well as traditional ones should be provided to library and information science. In addition. the research-based knowledge for the library and information science professionals and research method standards for them should be developed.

This study investigated the influence of cultural and general trend of the times on fashion trends and the hybridization of these trends. The objectives of this study were to suggest new approach method of the fashion forecasting and to find out the cultural meanings and values of fashion. Key words that explains fashion trend from spring/summer of 1995 to fall/winter of 2002 were collected from professional fashion trend journals. These terms were analysed with domain analysis based on the semantic relationship. The frequency of their appearance in each season and the aspect of their appearance in each season were analysed. The hybrids of the fashion trends were analysed longitudinally and cross-sectionally as well by investigating the cover terms that were found as a result of domain analysis. The method used in this study can be applied to future study of fashion trend in that it offers an objective view of fashion trend and can allow researchers to study fashion trend in a concrete way.

In this study, trends for five research areas of LED(Light Emitting Diode), OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode), LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), PDP(Plasma Display Panel) and CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) are investigated using bibliometric analysis. The papers and patents citation data were extracted from Scopus and USPTO databases, respectively. We could figure out the research trends by the number of publications and citation information. We prospect the current interests and future trends by investigating the development process of the 5 research areas as function of time.

This study Is about the situation of contemporary landscape architecture design in Korea. The conceptual framework of interpretation for landscape architectural works is formulated to define the design trends of today′s professional works The study′s analytical method is composed of the survey of attitudes questionnaire, the analysis of design composition techniques and conclusions drawn from the comments of contemporary landscape architectural critics. Among 975 members of the Korean Institute of Landscape Architecture, 318 professionals responded to the survey questionnaire. The survey revealed that landscape architects in Korea are concerned about the profession′s reduced contributions to the sharping of the built environment. However, they are optimistic about its future. Ten top design works were selected from the surveys′ answers and were analyzed for the design characteristics which could best represent the trends of the last thirty years. Several design critiques and comments about the professional works were cited to reinforce the outlined "-ty" of the contemporary design phenomena. The study identified the following distinguished design trends of contemporary Korean landscape architectural works They are as follows: Themelessty, Powerity, Traditionality, Monumentality, Non-contextuality and Over-designity. These trends identify the overall prevailing conditions of Korean landscape architectural design over the past thirty years.

This study aims to discuss sustainable fashion trends and sustainable design directions that fashion companies are practicing with ESG in the post-corona new normal era. As a research method, this study examined sustainable fashion trends and ESG practices through empirical case studies focusing on each fashion brand's website, including previous research and literature research, using materials such as newspapers and magazines. As for ESG practice plans, they were divided into four categories: technology orientation, design orientation, consumption orientation, and social value pursuit orientation. The sustainable fashion trends were also divided into four categories. First, the trend exhibits cyclical sustainability using pro-environmental materials, such as pro-environmental fibers, recycled fibers, biodegradable fibers. Second, high sensitivity and rare value sustainability were shown using reuse and upcycling. Third, consumption-oriented trends were promoted through slow fashion. Fourth, in order to realize eco-friendly sustainable fashion and ESG as practical ways to pursue social values, there is a trend of integrating sustainability through changes in perception considering people, society, and the environment. Beyond spreading concern about value consumption trends and the environment, it presents a direction for future industries concerning core values with social roles, responsibility, and ethical awareness from various perspectives.

A portable power supply system for soldiers must be able to supply electric energy corresponding to the power consumption of combat support troops, and have a carrying load in a range that does not impair the combatant's ability to execute operations. In particular, as the total required power of combat equipment increases with the advances in the future soldier system, a portable, lightweight power supply system with high efficiency is essential. A fuel cell has a high energy-to-weight density compared to lithium batteries, which are used mainly as a military power source system. Therefore, it is capable of miniaturization and lightweight, making active R&D to a portable power supply system. In this paper, the characteristics of the fuel cell applied as a portable power supply system, and the R&D trends of domestic and foreign military portable fuel cell systems were investigated. The current status of domestic technology compared to the level of foreign development was analyzed. In addition, future technology development plans are presented based on the consideration factors when developing a portable fuel cell (power supply stability, portability, and cost reduction) so that it can be used when establishing a plan on the development of a portable fuel cell system for the future soldier system.

Projections of cancer cases are particularly useful in developing countries to plan and prioritize both diagnostic and treatment facilities. In the prediction of cancer cases for the future period say after 5 years or after 10 years, it is imperative to use the knowledge of past time trends in incidence rates as well as in population at risk. In most of the recently published studies the duration for which the time trend was assessed was more than 10 years while in few studies the duration was between 5-7 years. This raises the question as to what is the optimum time period which should be used for assessment of time trends and projections. Thus, the present paper explores the suitability of different time periods to predict the future rates so that the valid projections of cancer burden can be done for India. The cancer incidence data of selected cancer sites of Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai PBCR for the period of 1991-2009 was utilized. The three time periods were selected namely 1991-2005; 1996-2005, 1999-2005 to assess the time trends and projections. For the five selected sites, each for males and females and for each registry, the time trend was assessed and the linear regression equation was obtained to give prediction for the years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. These predictions were compared with actual incidence data. The time period giving the least error in prediction was adjudged as the best. The result of the current analysis suggested that for projections of cancer cases, the 10 years duration data are most appropriate as compared to 7 year or 15 year incidence data.

This study aims at reviewing the research trends of records and archives management history published during the past 12 years, analyzing issues, and suggesting future tasks in related research areas. It starts with categorizing research areas of records and archives management history in archival sciences. All 31 articles have been selected from the 2 journals on archival science and 6 journals on related research areas. In quantitative measurement, the paper draws up 31 kinds of article bibliographies and looks at the current status of subject areas by year and author. In content analysis, selected articles are categorized into 3 subject areas, that is, general history, domestic history, and foreign history. For each subject area, research trends of the historical and regional studies are analyzed. This study concludes with emphasis on a new research direction between practice and points out that academic theory should be required for the future development in records and archives management history.

This study classified hairdressing techniques into hairdressing equipment, beauty/care, and styling and investigated current trends in patent applications. In addition, it analyzed what aspects should be concentrated on in terms of future hairdressing techniques and their growth potential. The results found the following: Hairdressing techniques have been on the rise since 1990 in terms of patent activities. In particular, they have been most active in 'electric hairdressing equipment such as hair dryers and hair straighteners. According to analysis of applicants' application trends, technique leaders were different by sector. In hairdressing techniques, in other words, expertise should be developed by sector. It is anticipated that this study would facilitate and expand the hairdressing market by analyzing hairdressing technique patent trends and establishing future directions for R&D in hairdressing techniques.

To use the system safely in cyberspace, you need to use a security solution that is appropriate for your situation. In order to strengthen cyber security, it is necessary to accurately understand the flow of security from past to present and to prepare for various future threats. In this study, information security words of security/hacking news of Naver News which is reliable by using text mining were collected and analyzed. First, we checked the number of security news articles for the past seven years and analyzed the trends. Second, after confirming the security/hacking word rankings, we identified major concerns each year. Third, we analyzed the word of each security solution to see which security group is interested. Fourth, after separating the title and the body of the security news, security related words were extracted and analyzed. The fifth confirms trends and trends by detailed security solutions. Lastly, annual revenue and security word frequencies were analyzed. Through this big data news analysis, we will conduct an overall awareness survey on security solutions and analyze many unstructured data to analyze current market trends and provide information that can predict the future.
