Optimal Provider Mobility in Large-Scale Named- Data Networking

  • Named-Data Networking (NDN) is one of the promising approaches for the Future Internet to cope with the explosion and current usage pattern of Internet traffic. Content provider mobility in the NDN allows users to receive real-time traffic when the content providers are on the move. However, the current solutions for managing these mobile content providers suffer several issues such as long handover latency, high cost, and non-optimal routing path. In this paper, we survey main approaches for provider mobility in NDN and propose an optimal scheme to support the mobile content providers in the large-scale NDN domain. Our scheme predicts the movement of the provider and uses state information in the NDN forwarding plane to set up an optimal new routing path for mobile providers. By numerical analysis, our approach provides NDN users with better service access delay and lower total handover cost compared with the current solutions.

  • 21세기 현대사회는 지식과 정보가 국가의 경쟁력을 좌우하는 지식기반 사회로서 최고가 아니면 살아남을 수 없는 무한경쟁 사회이다. 이를 위해 우리나라도 국가 차원에서 성장동력별 사업단을 통해서 장래 국가 위상과 미래 먹거리를 좌우할 차세대성장동력산업과 21세기프론티어 연구개발사업 등을 관리하고 있다. 하지만, 사업단은 주로 사업관리와 연구관리에 편중되고 있어 연구개발의 경쟁력 향상에 결정적인 역할을 하는 '정확한 정보의 신속한 입수'에는 한계가 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 미래 성장동력기술의 올바른 방향 설정과 안정적인 추진에 핵심인 적확한 정보를 제공하기 위한 인터넷 기반의 정보확보 전략을 고찰하였다.

지능정보사회의 사이버 역기능 분류와 사회적 인식 분석 (A Study on the Classification of Cyber Dysfunction and the Social Cognition Analysis in the Intelligent Information Society)

  • The Internet cyber space has become more important as it enters the intelligent information society of the 4th Industrial Revolution beyond the information age through the development of ICT, the expansion of personalized services through mobile and SNS, the development of IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence. The Internet has formed a new paradigm in human civilization, but it has focused only on the efficiency of its functions. Therefore, various side effects such as information divide, cyber terrorism, cyber violence, hacking, and personal information leakage are emerging. In this situation, facing the intelligent information society can lead to an uncontrollable chaos. Therefore, this study classifies the cyber dysfunction of intelligent information society and analyzes social cognition, suggests cyber dysfunction standard of intelligent information society, and examines the seriousness of dysfunction, and suggests technical research directions for future technologies and services. The dysfunctional classification of the intelligent information society was classified into five areas of cyber crime and terrorism, infringement of rights, intelligent information usage culture, intelligent information reliability, and social problems by FGI methodology. Based on the classification, the social perception of current and future cyber dysfunction severity was surveyed and it showed female is more sensitive than male about the dysfunction. A GAP analysis confirmed social awareness that the future society would be more serious about AI and cyber crime

  • Today, rapid changes in technologies and everyday lives due to the Internet make it is difficult to make predictions about the future. Generally, the best way to predict the future has been proposed by experts. Although expert opinions are very important, they are liable to produce incorrect results due to human error, insufficient information regarding future outcomes and a state of connectedness between people, among other reasons. One of the ways to reduce these mistakes is to provide objective information to the experts. There are many studies that focus on the collection of objective material from papers, patents, reports and the Internet, among other sources. This research paper seeks to develop a forecasting method using World Wide Web search results according to the Google search engine and a network analysis, which is generally used to analyze a social network analysis(SNA). In particular, this paper provides a method to analyze a complexity network and to discover important technologies in the construction field. This approach may make it possible to enhance the overall performance of forecasting method and help us understand the complex system.

A Receiver-Aided Seamless And Smooth Inter-RAT Handover At Layer-2

  • The future mobile networks consist of hyper-dense heterogeneous and small cell networks of same or different radio access technologies (RAT). Integrating mobile networks of different RATs to provide seamless and smooth mobility service will be the target of future mobile converged network. Generally, handover from high-speed networks to low-speed networks faces many challenges from application perspective, such as abrupt bandwidth variation, packet loss, round trip time variation, connection disruption, and transmission blackout. Existing inter-RAT handover solutions cannot solve all the problems at the same time. Based on the high-layer convergence sublayer design, a new receiver-aided soft inter-RAT handover is proposed. This soft handover scheme takes advantage of multihoming ability of multi-mode mobile station (MS) to smooth handover procedure. In addition, handover procedure is seamless and applicable to frequent handover scenarios. The simulation results conducted in UMTS-WiMAX converged network scenario show that: in case of TCP traffics for handover from WiMAX to UMTS, not only handover latency and packet loss are eliminated completely, but also abrupt bandwidth/wireless RTT variation is smoothed. These delightful features make this soft handover scheme be a reasonable candidate of mobility management for future mobile converged networks.

한국의 가상화폐; 연구동향 및 향후연구 시사점 (Virtual Currency in Korea; Research Trends and Future Research Implications)

  • 본 연구는 가상화폐의 국내 연구동향 고찰을 통하여 향후 가상화폐관련 연구에 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 연구결과 가상화폐 국내 연구는 고찰 한바와 같이 2018년도부터 본격화 하고 있으나 학술지논문은 14개, 학위논문 14개 총 30여개 정도로 아직 연구가 미진한 편이다. 세부 주제별로 보면 상대적으로 법적, 과세, 시장 측면은 연구는 수용의도 측면의 연구보다는 많은 편이다. 본 연구에서 연구주제로 구분한 법적, 과세, 범죄, 시장, 수용의도 측면 연구 중 상대적으로 수용의도 측면의 연구가 학술적 가치를 지니고 있을 것이라고 보면 향후 가상화폐 관련 연구는 수용의도 등 좀 더 학술적인 주제가 활발히 진행 될 필요가 있다고 사료된다.

Analysis of Google's success factors and direction

  • Among the innovative companies leading the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the world's largest Internet company is Google. Google has grown by providing convenient services such as Internet search, Android smartphone operating system, and video. Now, Google is leading the global IT industry by continuing to develop in various new business fields based on open service platforms, artificial intelligence, and big data. In this study, an exploratory discussion was conducted on Google's success factors and future directions. The purpose of the research is to understand the development process of the IT field from the successfactors of Google and to analyze the development direction of the future IT industry. Google's success factors were its open platform policy and successful acquisitions of external companies. In fact, most of the services Google offers come from companies that have acquired and acquired them. In addition, there was a corporate culture that values and supportsthe spirit of challenge and autonomy of members who are not afraid of failure. Based on this study's review of Google's direction analysis, the follow-up study will infer the direction of the IT industry in depth and look at the future technologies that IT majors need to prepare.

Anti-Jamming and Time Delay Performance Analysis of Future SATURN Upgraded Military Aerial Communication Tactical Systems

  • For over half a century, the United States (US) and its coalition military aircrafts have been using Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band analog modulation (AM) radios in ground-to-air communication and short-range air-to-air communications. Evolving from this, since 2007, the US military and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) adopted HAVE QUICK to be used by almost all aircrafts, because it had been revealed that intercepting and jamming of former aircraft communication signals was possible, which placed a serious threat to defense systems. The second-generation Anti-jam Tactical UHF Radio for NATO (SATURN) was developed to replace HAVE QUICK systems by 2023. The NATO Standardization Agreement (STANAG) 4372 is a classified document that defines the SATURN technical and operational specifications. In preparation of this future upgrade to SATURN systems, in this paper, the SATURN technical and operational specifications are reviewed, and the network synchronization, frequency hopping, and communication setup parameters that are controlled by the Network (NET) Time, Time Of Day (TOD), Word Of Day (WOD), and Multiple Word of Day (MWOD) are described in addition to SATURN Edition 3 (ED3) and future Edition 4 (ED4) basic features. In addition, an anti-jamming performance analysis (in reference to partial band jamming and pulse jamming) and the time delay queueing model analysis are conducted based on a SATURN transmitter and receiver assumed model.

The Effects of Self-Regulated Learning on Career Decision-Making Efficacy through Positive and Negative Attitudes in the Fourth Industrial Era

  • As the environment changes become more complex, learners should establish the learning strategy for the 4th industrial era and the post-COVID-19, also change. This paper focuses on the importance of self-regulated learning. Through this learning strategy, learners will form more positive attitudes and reduce negative attitudes toward the 4th industrial era. This attitude change will lead to an improvement in learners' career decision-making efficacy as a sense of future efficacy. As a result of the study, it was demonstrated that self-regulated learning improves career decision-making efficacy through the mediating effect of positive attitude formation toward the fourth industry. This article emphasizes the necessity of self-regulated learning as a valid learning strategy for the new era. The effect of self-regulated learning is explained as an improvement in attitude toward the future and a sense of efficacy. Through this learning strategy, learners' future performance could be improved.
