  • The vibration induced by high speed train running on rail is dealt with as an environmental problem. The train induced vibration is characterized by moving loads of specific frequency contents and soil conditions. In fact various sources are involved the wheal distance, number of cars, speed of operation, drift of rails, structural form vibration, etc. In this paper the characteristics of transferring vibration induced by the operational high-speed train is discussed. And the field measurements was conducted at region from Chungnam Yungi So-jung-myan to Chungbuk Chungwon hyun-do-myun. In the future is would be proposed the fundamental data for establishment of the countermeasure for vibrational reduction of high speed train using the results of the field measurements and quantitative prediction of the vibration level

  • In order to care about preserving the environment for future generations, each country has been required to make the laws of the environment. So car manufacturers must design, manufacture and sell cars and trucks that meet customer's need and must do this while meeting the needs of the environment. In this research we have developed product structure and configuration management system that treats electronic catalogs for recycling of automobile parts. This research focused on two system. One is XML-based electronic catalog that give the information about recycling of automobile parts. The other is product structure and configuration management system based on electronic catalog.

  • This paper reviews the main drivers forcing change and progress in powertrains for passenger cars in the coming years. The environmental drivers of omissions and CO2 will force better technical performance, but customer demand for increased choice will force change in the basic engine design and provide opportunities for alternate configurations of powertrain. Gasoline engines will embody refinements of valve train actuations as well as developments in combustion, especially direct injection and possibly a lean booated form of direct injection. Nevertheless, the conventional, port injected engine will continue to be the dominant engine for some years to come. The high speed direct injection diesel will very soon supplant its indirect injection predecessor completely. It will take an increasing share of the total powertrain market as improved specific power and refinement make it even more attractive to the customer. Car manufacturers will provide diesel models to satisfy this customer demand as well as using the efficiency of the diesel to enable them to meet their fleet CO2 commitments. Both gasoline and diesel engines will see an increasing degree of electrification and partial hybridisation as efficient flywheel mounted electrical devices become available.

  • Lane departure avoidance system is one of the key technologies for the future active-safety passenger cars. The lane departure avoidance system is composed of two subsystems; lane sensing algorithm and active-steering controller. In this paper, the road image is obtained by vision sensor and the lane parameters are estimated using image processing and Kalman Filter technique. The active-steering controller is designed to prevent the lane departure. The developed active-steering controller can be realized by steer-by-wire actuator. The lane-sensing algorithm and active-steering controller are implemented into the steering HILS(Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation) and their performance is evaluated with a human driver in the loop.

  • The vibration induced by high speed train running on rail is dealt with as an environmental problem. The train induced vibration is characterized by moving loads at specific frequencies and soil conditions. In fact, it is predicted that the vibration sources are involved the wheel distance, number of cars, speed of operation, drift of rails, structural born vibration, etc. In this paper the characteristics of transferring vibration induced by the high-speed train in operation is discussed. Field measurements was conducted at region from Chungnam Yungj So-jung-myan to Chungbuk Chungwon hyun-do-myun. • The government has designated the hydrogen industry as one of the three most innovative industries and is making a lot of investment and support. Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungju are developing strategies to foster local industries in line with these government policies. Hyundai Mobis's Chungju plant, located in Chungju, is the only fuel cell plant in Korea and is emerging as the center of hydrogen cars as the government's hydrogen mobility industry expands. Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungju City seek to attract relevant institutions and companies based on their regional strengths. In this paper, the current status of hydrogen industry in Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungju-si is discussed and future plans are discussed.

  • For future autonomous cars, it is necessary to recognize various surrounding environments such as lanes, traffic lights, and vehicles. This paper presents a method of speed sign recognition from a single image in automatic driving assistance systems. The detection step with the proposed method emphasizes the color attributes in modified YUV color space because speed sign area is affected by color. The proposed method is further improved by extracting the digits from the highlighted circle region. A sequential cascade AdaBoost classifier is then used in the recognition step for real-time processing. Experimental results show the performance of the proposed algorithm is superior to that of conventional algorithms for various speed signs and real-world conditions.

  • This article is about using the fuel mixed with 10% and 20% bio-ethanol to gasoline for the engine as a way to reduce carbon emission before commercializing future automobiles like fuel cell cars. The fuel mixed with 10% and 20% bio-ethanol showed output equivalent to that of the previous gasoline fuel. CO and $CO_2$ emission was somewhat reduced, but the difference was not significant. And the consumption of the fuel increased slightly. However, bio-ethanol is produced from bio mass growing with the absorption of carbon dioxide, so the total amount of carbon dioxide did not increase according to the result. In NOx, as the use of ethanol increases, the effect of reduction gets greater, and the emission of oxygen showed almost no change compared with gasoline.

  • The Government declared 'Low-Carbon Green Growth' as the new national vision for future development to improve economic growth and quality of life through higher energy efficiency, less energy consumption, wider use of renewable energy, etc. Korea can no longer delay participating in international efforts against global warming by reducing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions. Thus low-carbon green growth is not a matter of choice, and it becomes indispensible to sustaining the nation's economic development. The Government is determined to take the initiative in speeding up economic recovery by carrying out the large scale investment projects such as the Korean version of a 'Green New Deal. The 49 trillion-won projects include river improvement, eco-friendly transportation networks, advanced information infrastructure, water resources & dam construction, green cars & clean energy development, etc. which will create nearly one million new jobs over the next four years.

  • ISO/IEC 15118 is a standard for communications and services for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Although this standard deals only with data communication between an electric vehicle and a charge station, communication with the outside is essential for establishing an authentication system for vehicle certification and V2G service for electric power transmission. In this study, it was designed to verify the information of electric car charging infrastructure in electric power system through communication link between ISO/IEC 15118 electric vehicle model and IEC 61850 standard MMS protocol. This is demonstrated in the field so that the electric vehicle communication data is linked with the micro grid management system. This could be used as an element technology in other distributed power sources as well as electric cars in the future.
