  • The aim of this research is to examine patterns of design governance used by Northern European countries to respond to social crises and understand design governance as a tool for sophistication of social services and social integration. Design governance as applied in Sitra of Finland, MindLab of Denmark and the Gulliver project of Germany encourages using design methodology for analyzing and solving problems related to social phenomena based on involvement of the private, public, industrial, and academic groups. Especially, the citizens are actively involved in developing problem-solving ideas and designing new policy with other governance members, rather than simply providing information or one-time participation. In the cases discussed in this study, design governance reduce unnecessary administrative and financial consumption and inconvenience caused by complicated rules, based on field-oriented approach, regional characteristics, pluralism, and respect for diversity. Therefore, future design policy paradigm will need to evolve into concept of policy design and pluralistic monitoring centered on design governance based on participation of private sector to lead policy development, from the current system in which only few officials decide policy.

  • This study aims to look into what influences a self-growth program has on morality and achievement motivation of adolescents on probation. As a result of the study, it was discovered that after the self-growth program, there was a statistically significant difference in interest in others(altruism) and their social devotion while there was no significant difference in the interest in self and social issues. Also, there was a statistically significant difference in future-orientation, confidence, a sense of responsibility, having a mind to face challenges, and task orientation while there was not a significant difference in having an adventurous mind. The results above indicate that the self-growth program has a significant influence on the morality and achievement motivation in adolescents on probation. Therefore, to enhance the morality and achievement motivation of adolescents, more organized research on self-growth programs is needed and their utilization should be improved.

  • This study conducted a preliminary survey to study humanities healing methods for college students. Based on the student survey, we would like to present the research direction of humanities healing and find an appropriate humanities healing method. For quantitative analysis, 10 questions were constructed, focusing on BPS-Modell, Bio, Psycho, and Sozio of life. In the question of the Bio, 50% of the students said they understood their body, mind, and will and acted accordingly, but 20% of the students showed that their actions according to their body, mind, and will did not fit. In the question of Psycho, more than 50% of students said they communicated well with their inner selves, but less than 20% of students did not. In the question of Sozio of life, more than 60% of students form a social network well, but about 10% of students have very low attitudes or meanings toward life. The ultimate purpose of humanities is 'happiness', and the purpose of human life is also 'happiness'. We hope that the power of positivity to realize a stable future society and improve the quality of life will be expanded through humanities healing.

Methods: This study targeted middle-aged women with menopausal symptoms who participated in regular exercise at least three times a week for more than 12 weeks. Nine participants were individually interviewed via in-depth face-to-face interviews, and participatory observation was also employed. Colaizzi's phenomenological qualitative research method was applied for analysis. Results: Participants were asked, "What does it means to participate in physical activity at this time of your life?" Fourteen codes, six themes, and three theme clusters were derived for the meaning of physical activity for managing menopausal symptoms these middle-aged women. The six themes were "reviving the exhausted body and mind," "being free from the yoke of pain," "being settled in life," "finding oneself and becoming altruistic," "striving while anticipating change," and "equipping the body and mind." The three theme clusters were "overcoming my past pain," "taking the initiative for today's life," and "moving towards new change." Conclusion: The narratives revealed that physical activity allowed women to overcome menopausal symptoms, the burden of relationships, and stress, thereby enabling them to make positive changes in their lives and have expectations for the future. • In the wake of the Arab Spring, the Internet's role in aiding dramatic political transformation has come to the fore. Throughout the Middle East, protestors have employed Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and other popular websites to organize and spread news at home and to the outside world. Chinese authorities have been increasingly nervous about the Arab uprisings, and fear that similar events will inspire unrest in China. The new information and communication technologies make it possible for social movements to initiate novel forms of collective actions. The Internet provides new opportunities for political liberalization. In Chinese society, citizens can now participate in politics uninvited. With each passing day, the online community gets stronger. The digital revolution has the potential for broadening democratic principles and could bring democracy to the collective Chinese mind.

  • Study of the background and state of Osaka's waterfront space development and analysis of the functions of 22 chosen major facilities of development project reveals the following four types: amenity-oriented development, large-scale synthesis type development, renewal compound area type development, exchange communication promotion type development. Osaka bay area has served primely as the base of harbors, industry and energy, while analysis of the ongoing project has found that the city has been making a functional transition to a type of development to live up to the needs of the times, suggesting that is wise that Korea's future direction of waterfront development be oriented toward environmental-friendly development by taking advantage of low-density area's natural resources. Given the plurality and complexity of the law of coastal zone, what is needed is a legal maintenance for coastal zone's clear-cut coordinating function and for environmental-friendly development with the limitations of seaside and coastal functions in mind.

  • This study was conducted to analyze the effect of information security activities on organizational performance. With this in mind and with the aim of resolving transaction stability in the securities industry, using an organization's security activities as a tool for carrying out information security activities, the effect of security activities on organizational performance was analyzed. Under the assumption that the effectiveness of information security activities can be bolstered to enhance organizational performance, such effects were analyzed based on Herzberg's motivation theory, which is one of the motivation theories that may influence information protection activities. To measure the actual attributes of the theoretical model, an empirical survey of the securities industry was conducted. In this explorative study, the proposed model was verified using partial least squares as a structural equation model consisting of IT service, information security, information sharing, transaction stability, and organizational performance.

  • The firewall is normally an intermediate system between the secure internal networks and the less secure external networks. It is intended to keep corporate systems safe from intruders, hackers, and accidental entry into the corporate system. The primary types of firewalls are screening routers, proxy servers, and stateful inspectors. Encryption is another form of firewall protection which is being incorporated along with other firewall methods. Before choosing a firewall architecture, a company must have the right mind set about the threat. The future will see more integration of firewall technologies and the increased use of standards in the industry. It must also determine what are the possible consequences of a breach in security and then develop a system to counter the threat. Additionally, new firewall technologies will address the potential dangers associated with the use of Java applets and Active X-controls on the Internet.
