Due to environmental changes such as diet and fine dust, the public has a growing interest in health. With the growing interest in health, consumption of health functional foods to prevent diseases has increased, and the health functional food market is also growing. However, most health functional foods rely on imported raw materials, and the development of health functional foods using domestic raw materials is urgently needed. Therefore, in this paper, provides information on functional raw materials for health functional foods that have been recognized by using domestic agricultural products in Rural Development Administration, and insists that R&D should be more active in order to increase more domestic raw materials in the health functional food market in the future.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate promotional Internet health information on health functional foods with regard to labeling information, website structure, and overall quality. Methods : The websites of 15 producers of three health functional foods (Red ginseng, vitamin, aloe) were selected. Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) required labeling information was used to evaluate the integrity of basic information, and the structural properties of the websites were investigated. Moreover, DISCERN instrument was used to evaluate reliability and quality of information. Results : 1) Among MFDS required labeling information, seven items, including 'sell by date', and 'possible side effects' were not fully specified, and only 6.7% of Internet advertisements provided 'possible side effects'. 2) Each of 92.9% of these websites offered 'Introducation to websites and producers', and 'customer service', whereas only 64.3% and 42.9% of these websites offered 'FAQ about website utilization' and 'multilingual support', respectively. 3) The evaluation using DISCERN instrument showed the scores of $2.03{\pm}0.24$ in reliability, $1.87{\pm}0.28$ in quality, and $2.10{\pm}0.55$ in overall quality. Conclusions : Current promotional Internet health information on health functional foods has various weaknesses in terms of reliability and quality that need to be improved.

Mushrooms and their extracts including purified ingredients, are currently used as foods, functional foods (and/or nutraceuticals), and medicines. These products have numerous bioactive compounds such as polysaccharides (mainly ${\beta}$-glucans), glycoproteins, nucleotide analogs, terpenoids, and polyphenols, which have exhibited antioxidant, antimicrobial, anticancer, antiviral, anti-obesity, and immunomodulatory activities. In this review, we discuss the current information on the biactivities of 10 popular mushrooms in Korea. We also summarize the information on mushrooms and the active compounds derived from them, as well as mushroom-based products such as foods, functional foods, and medicines. We believe this review could provide useful information for scientists and consumers who seek to develop new products and promote healthy food habits and lifestyle.

Genomic approach produces massive amount of data within a short time period, New high-throughput automatic sequencers can generate over a million nucleotide sequence information overnight. A typical DNA chip experiment produces tens of thousands expression information, not to mention the tens of megabyte image files, These data must be handled automatically by computer and stored in electronic database, Thus there is a need for systematic approach of data collection, processing, and analysis. DNA sequence information is translated into amino acid sequence and is analyzed for key motif related to its biological and/or biochemical function. Functional genomics will play a significant role in identifying novel drug targets and diagnostic markers for serious diseases. As an enabling technology for functional genomics, bioinformatics is in great need worldwide, In Korea, a new functional genomics project has been recently launched and it focuses on identi☞ing genes associated with cancers prevalent in Korea, namely gastric and hepatic cancers, This involves gene discovery by high throughput sequencing of cancer cDNA libraries, gene expression profiling by DNA microarray and proteomics, and SNP profiling in Korea patient population, Our bioinformatics team will support all these activities by collecting, processing and analyzing these data.

This research intends to check what value and convenience the on-line brand community members pursue and how such value and convenience affects brand affection. Researching on-line brand community members of ipod, it was found that their value and convenience is composed of 3 types, namely, functional value, emotional value and self-expression value and the concept of brand affection is composed of 3 subsidiary factors, namely, 'love', 'interest' and 'immersion.' Checking how the functional, emotional and self-expression convenience of on-line brand community members affected brand affection, the following result was found. First, functional value and convenience has significant influence on the love affection only at the level of brand affection and has no influence on the relational and immersion affection. Second, self-expression value and convenience has significant influence only on the love affection of brand like functional value and convenience. Third, it was found that emotional value has significant influence on the 3 dimensions of brand affection, namely, love affection, interest affection and immersion affection.

A part definition must not only provide shape information of a nominal part but also contain non-shape information such as tolerances, surface roughness and material attributes. Although machining features are useful for suitable shape information for process reasoning in the CAPP, they need to be integrated with tolerance information for effective process planning. We develop the tolerance modeler that efficiently integrates machining features with tolerance information for feature-based CAPP It is based on the association of machining features, tolerance features. and tolerances Tolerance features, where tolerances are assigned, are classified into two types; one is the face that is a topological entity on a solid model and the other is the functional geometry that is not referenced to topological entities. The functional geometry is represented by using machining features All the data for representing tolerance information with machining features are stored completely and unambiguously in the independent tolerance structure. The developed tolerance modeler is implemented as a module of a comprehensive feature-based CAPP system.

The search method that web services offers has its limitations. The search service considers only functional factors based on the client's preferences. In order to improve the web service search - which alone only considers functional factors - our research introduces an execution phase which performs both functional and non-functional factors by utilizing WSDL and matching information. Our research studies the architecture of both the service selecting method and the selecting process to help determine the best service solution for the client. We do so, taking into consideration the client's preferences. Our research also studies selecting methods for the best overall service. This service not only considers the matching of functional factors provided by the web service's selecting process, but it is also accommodating by matching the information as defined by the client. This paper research can offer the best quality service preferred by any end-user. Again, this is done by utilizing web services that considers the user's non-functional factors identified by the web service's selecting process and also by extracting matching information.

It has been a long standing problem in research of pure functional programming to program side-effect, input/output, exception handling, nondeterminism, and etc, preserving declarative property and lazy-evaluation of pure functional languages. Being introduced in 1989, Monadic approach has been suggested as a solution to this problem. In this paper, we introduce the principle of functional monadic programming and its various application techniques using the Pure functional language Haskell.

The functional equation related to a distance measure f(pr, qs) + f(ps, qr) = M(r, s)f(p, q) + M(p, q)f(r, s) can be generalized a sum form functional equation as follows $${\frac{1}{n}}{\sum\limits_{i=0}^{n-1}}f(P{\cdot}{\sigma}_i(Q))=M(Q)f(P)+M(P)f(Q)$$ where f, g is information measures, P and Q are the set of n-array discrete measure, and σ_i is a permutation for each i = 0, 1, ⋯, n-1. In this paper, we obtain the hyperstability of the above type functional equation.

In this paper, a medical image processing system was designed and implemented for morphometric and functional analysis of a human brain. The system is composed of image registration, ROI(region of interest) analysis, functional analysis, image visualization, 3D medical image database management system(DBMS), and database. The software processes an anatomical and functional image as input data, and provides visual and quantitative results. Input data and intermediate or final output data are stored to the database as several data types by the DBMS for other further image processing. In the experiment, the ROI analysis, for a normal, a tumor, a Parkinson's decease, and a depression case, showed that the system is useful for morphometric and functional analysis of a human brain.
