This paper deals with the method of determining the drag of hull surface which has any quality of roughness. The method consists mainly of the theoretical point of view, then the theory enables the drag coefficient to be calculated at full scale. The hydrodynamical roughness function of hull surface ${\triangle}U_+$, affected by the hull roughness are considered as to two cases, smooth surface and rough surface case separately. The inadequacy of a single parameter to define hull roughness is discussed and thus an as additional texture parameter is proposed.
In the present study, we described a test to explore the function of optokinetic system which subjected to a full visual field stimulation using two different stimulus images patterns. Our results were interesting in a point of view that the stimulation image pattern had non- neglisible influence on the optokinetic response and that in a bidimensionnel image such as the randomly distributed spots images pattern the linearity of system was assured upto the stimulus velocity of about 50 deg/sec for normal subject. As for measuring human optokinetic after nystagmus, the regular stripes pattern was rather desirable than the randomly distributed spots pattern in this study.
The world's overall need for natural gas (NG) has been growing up fast, especially in the residential sector. The better the estimation of residential NG consumption (RNGC) distribution, the better decision-making for a residential NG policy such as pricing, demand estimation, management options and so on. Approximating the distribution of RNGC is complicated by zero observations in the sample. To deal with the zero observations by allowing a point mass at zero, a mixture model of RNGC distributions is proposed and applied. The RNGC distribution is specified as a mixture of two distributions, one with a point mass at zero and the other with full support on the positive half of the real line. The model is empirically verified for household RNGC survey data collected in Korea. The mixture model can easily capture the common bimodality feature of the RNGC distribution. In addition, when covariates were added to the model, it was found that the probability that a household has non-expenditure significantly varies with some variables. Finally, the goodness-of-fit test suggests that the data are well represented by the mixture model.

To improve the performance at all design points, multi-point optimization method is implemented for the nose fairing shape design of space launcher. The response surface method is used to effectively reduce the huge computational loads during the optimization process. The drag is selected as the objective function, and the surface heat transfer characteristics, and the internal volume of the nose fairing ate considered as design constraints. Full Wavier-Stokes equations are selected as governing equations. Two points drag minimization, and two points drag / heat flux optimization were successfully performed and configurations which have good performance for the wide operation range were derived. By considering three design points, the space launcher shape which undergoes the least drag during whole flight mission was designed. For all the design cases, the constructed response surfaces show good confidence level with only 23 design points with the proper stretching of the design space.

In this paper, a modified FSA(Frequency Scaling Algorithm) is proposed for KOMPSAT-5 high-resolution SAR image generation. In order to enhance performance of azimuth compression, degraded in sub-aperture processing due to the imperfect geometric parameter of data acquisition, the full-aperture signal processing algorithm is designed based on the exact time-frequency analysis. In addition, an azimuth scaling function is newly devised to make the full-aperture processing algorithm suitable for KOMPSAT-5 sliding-spotlight mode. Different from the previous sub-aperture FSA schemes, the suggested technique could accommodate the merit of unified signal processing structure regardless of operational modes of KOMPSAT-5. Through the point target simulation, it is verified that the suggested algorithm provides superior performance of azimuth compression over the existing full-aperture processing methods. The experimental results using real data acquired by KOMPSAT-5 are also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our scheme as well.

We propose an algorithm for extracting the boundary of an object. In order to take full advantage of global shape, our approach uses global shape parameters derived from Point Distribution Model (PDM). Unlike PDM, the proposed method models global shape using curvature as well as edge. The objective function of applying the shape model is formulated using Bayesian rule. We can extract the boundaries of an object by evaluating iteratively the solution maximizing the objective function. Experimental results show that the proposed method can reduce computation cost than the PDM and it is robust to noise, pose variation, and some occlusion.
This paper attempts to approximate the distribution function for the number of innovation activities (NIA). To this end, the dataset of 2002 Korean Innovation Survey (KIS 2002) published by Science and Technology Policy Institute is used. To deal with zero NTI values given by a considerable number of firms in the KIS 2002 survey, a mixture model of distributions for NIA is applied. The NIA is specified as a mixture of two distributions, one with a point mass at zero and the other with full support on the positive half of the real line. The model was empirically verified for the KIS 2002 data. The mixture model can easily capture the common bimodality feature of the NIA distribution. In addition, when covariates were added to the mixture model, it was found that the probability that a firm has zero NIA significantly varies with some variables.
To predict the surface subsidence of salt rock storage, a new surface subsidence basin model is proposed based on the Logistic function from the phenomenological perspective. Analysis shows that the subsidence curve on the main section of the model is S-shaped, similar to that of the actual surface subsidence basin; the control parameter of the subsidence curve shape can be changed to allow for flexible adjustment of the curve shape. By using this model in combination with the MMF time function that reflects the single point subsidence-time relationship of the surface, a new dynamic prediction model of full section surface subsidence for salt rock storage is established, and the numerical simulation calculation results are used to verify the availability of the new model. The prediction results agree well with the numerical simulation results, and the model reflects the continued development of surface subsidence basin over time, which is expected to provide some insight into the prediction and visualization research on surface subsidence of salt rock storage.

Purpose: This thesis focuses on researching the burden of the Home Health Care that the Family Care-givers have. Method: This study had been conducted for the duration of 3 consecutive months from January 2006 to March 2006 and had investigated 120 person registered as the Home Health Care Clients to a University Hospital located in Incheon City. The thesis adopted the 'feeling of burden' measuring method jointly developed by Seo, Mi-Hye and Oh, Ga-Sil(1993), and FACES-III(Family Adaptability Cohesion Evaluation) developed by Olson(1985) etc. translated by Kim, Yun-Hee(1989) as the measuring method for Family Function. Result: The overall Health Status of the Home Health Care Clients was 2.18 point of average out of 3 point, where as 1.83 for Activities of Daily living and 1.98 for Vital sign, which are below the average. In the mean time, the Competence for Modified Barthel Index marked 30.88 point out of the full mark. The analyzed result of the burden that the family members have was 3.43 point of average out of 5 point which shows that the interviewee feel that they are considerable burden to their families. When it comes to 'the Burden to the family members' and 'the Function of the family' according to the characteristics of the patient, the result shows statistically significant differences, which are varied according to gender, the relationship between the care-givers and the patients. When it comes to the Family Cohesion, the difference was examined as 'statistically significant' according to the Academic background of the patients and the relationship between the patients and the interviewee.(p<0.05). The result also suggests that there exists 'Negative correlation' among the level of patients' health status, the Family Cohesion and the Family Burden. Conclusion: From the result of this study stated above, this thesis is strongly insisting that there is an urgent need for us to develop a health care mediation program, which could eventually reduce the burden of home health care that the patients' family have. At the same time, a follow-up research to prove the effect of the program is imminent.

Patients who miss teeth partially or fully show many changes which make them lose function and esthetics. From the esthetic point of view, loosing teeth makes lower face unharmonized. There are various changes of lower and whole face according as how much change oral cavity is. Restoring the multiple teeth missing properly can make patient's face harmonized. Especially full mouth implant restorations can cause drastic occlusal change affecting masticatory muscles. Because all the muscles are connected closely, the masticatory muscles which is part of lower facial muscles can cause whole muscle change. In full mouth implant restoration case, I will show the whole face muscle change harmonized by meticulous occlusal treatment process. Full mouth restorations installed in right way show whole face muscle changes extending to head and neck muscles.
