직렬 상관기를 이용한 디지털 위성방송 주파수 추정회로 설계 (Design of an Efficient Coarse Frequency Estimator Using a Serial Correlator for DVB-S2)

  • 본 논문은 2세대 위성방송용 표준인 DVB-S2 (Digital Video Broadcasting - Second Generation) 에서 사용하는 대략적 주파수 동기회로를 효율적으로 설계하는 방법을 제안한다. DVB-S2에서 제거해야 하는 대략적인 주파수 오차는 심볼 전송률의 6.25%에 해당하며 심볼 전송률이 25Mspa일 경우 ${\pm}1.5625Mhz$에 달한다. 대략적인 주파수 오차 추정을 위한 데이터 도움방식 (Data-Aided) 의 알고리즘들을 분석하여 L&R (Luise & Reggiannini) 알고리즘이 복잡도와 추정성능 면에서 가장 효율적임을 밝혔다. 그러나 L&R 알고리즘도 여전히 곱셈기와 덧셈기를 다량으로 사용하므로 구현 복잡도가 매우 높다. 본 논문은 버퍼와 멀티플렉서를 이용한 직렬 상관도 연산구조를 제안한다. 제안된 구조는 기존의 구현 방법에 비해 하드웨어 복잡도가 약 92%정도 감소되었다. 제안된 구조는 Xilinx Virtex II FPGA에서 구현되어 검증되었다.

성별, 세대별 식생활 인식이 식품군별 섭취 빈도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Dietary Consciousness on Intake Frequency of Foods by Gender and Generations)

  • This study investigated the effects of dietary consciousness of gender and generation on food intake frequency in Daegu, Sangju, Kimchen and Gumi. There was a total of 359 subjects, which consisted of elementary students, college students, and adults. The survey period was from March to May 2011, and it was a self-questionnaire by convenience sampling. The results were as follows: 1. A 9 point scale on intake frequency of 59 kinds foods was classified into 17 groups. Gender had significant differences on intake frequency of meats, beans, root vegetables, tuber vegetables, fruit vegetables, mushrooms, nuts, liquors, and cola. Sixteen food groups, except for fats, showed significant differences in intake frequency by generation. 2. Dietary consciousness consisted of 15 items, and it was divided into nutritional consciousness and meal consciousness. Meal consciousness was significantly higher in females than in males, as well as college students and adults than in elementary students. 3. Nutritional consciousness had significant effects on intake frequencies of grains, leaf vegetables, root vegetables, fruit vegetables, milk and milk products, fat and fatty oils. Meal consciousness had effects on intake of grain, leaf vegetables, root vegetables, seaweeds, teas and coffee. 4. Meal consciousness of males had significant effects on intake frequencies of grains, leaf vegetables, root vegetables, seaweeds, teas, and coffee. Elementary students showed significant effects on grains, leaf vegetables, root vegetables and seaweeds.

무선채널환경에서 미상의 주파수 도약신호에 대한 도약정보 생성 기법 (Hopping Information Generation of Unknown Frequency Hopping Signals in Wireless Channel Environments)

  • 주파수 도약신호는 전송시간 동안 반송파 주파수를 변경시켜 주파수 대역에서 확산 스펙트럼 특성을 가진다. 이러한 특성으로 주파수 도약신호는 무선채널환경에서 저피탐 및 항재밍 능력이 필요한 분야에 널리 활용된다. 본 논문에서는 미상의 주파수 도약신호에 대해 시작시간, 유지시간, 그리고 도약주파수를 포함하는 도약정보를 생성하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 블라인드 도약정보 생성 기법은 스펙트럼 데이터로부터 신호원에 대한 탐지정보를 생성하고, 이로부터 대상 주파수 도약신호의 출현, 유지, 그리고 종료 여부를 추정하는 동작 과정으로 도약정보를 추출한다. 또한, 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 제안한 기법이 다양한 주파수 도약신호에 대하여 탐지 누락 없이 정확한 도약정보를 제공함을 확인하였다.

  • Basic discharge characteristics of a ferroelectric ball and mica sheet double barrier have been studied for learning the fundamentals of the barrier discharges and for checking the potential to be used as a plasma generator. It is found that plasma generation of the plasma generator was influenced greatly by the dielectric constant of the ferroelectric ball barrier and applied power frequency. As a result, there are optimum conditions of the dielectric constant as a barrier and the applied frequency to generate ozone effectively, which were ${\varepsilon}_r$=600 and f=4 kHz at the present experimental case.

Reuse of HPLC Guard Column by Ultrasonic Cleaning

  • This study investigated reusability of costly guard column by ultrasonic. It also investigated various effects that affect to guard column generation by ultrasonic. When investigated 30 KHz of frequency, area of ascorbic acid is 73.0% compared to unused guard column. As a result of investigation of effect of pH, guard column by ultrasonic is effective at alkali area. As a result of investigation of solvent effect, when ethanol is used, generation rate is 81.9% as of peak area compared to the case of analysis in un used column. From the result, it indicates that regenerated guard by ultrasonic is reusable.

  • The variation of spatter generation in gas metal arc welding with welding conditions and wire compositions was investigated and interpreted in terms of arc stability. The transition range from a short circuit mode to a spray mode in the mixed gas welding showed an unstable arc and generated the largest amount of spatters. Titanium reduced spatters only in the globular mode of $CO_2$welding and silicon and manganese showed the same effect The effect of silicon and manganese, however, was no longer seen when titanium was added simultaneously to the wire. It is believed that deoxidizers easily form oxides on the anode and make the arc stable even in DCRP welding. The wires with deoxidizers also showed low short circuit frequency, resulting in the increase of large size spatters.

  • The effects of Ti addition in welding wire on the spatter generation and the droplet transfer phenomena were investigated. With increasing Ti content the spattering rate was decreased but the ratio of large size spatter (D $\geq$ 1. 0mm) was increased in both short circuit and globular transfer mode of $CO_2$welding. In short circuit transfer region, the arcing time was increased and the droplet transfer frequency was decreased with increasing Ti content In globular transfer region, the transition current and voltage to globular transfer was lowered and the welding condition region for stable globular transfer was widened with increasing Ti content.

  • In this paper, a current-source type parallel indudor compensated load resonant high-frequency soft switching inverter using IGBTs for driving the newly-produced silent discharge type ozone generating tube and excimer lamp for UV generation which incorporate a single switched capacitor resonant snubber between the port in DC busline side is presented, together with its pulse modulated unique output power regulation characteristics.

Coaxial Feed Wideband CP antenna for RFID Applications

  • Wideband terminal and base station is required to serve not only existing 1st and 2nd generation mobile communication systems but also 3rd generation systems. In this paper, we present a feasibility study on coaxial feed compact wideband antenna for UHF RFID reader application. The original antenna was designed for partial discharge detection sensor in high voltage diagnostic system. However, we modified the original prototype to achieve shifted down resonant frequency for wideband wireless communication applications. The experimental result shows good return loss characteristics and radiation patterns except for the total gain at each resonant frequency. The maximum measured gain was 2.45 dBi$\sim$3.18 dBi at 910MHz.

계통연계 분산전원의 새로운 단독운전 판별기법 (Novel Islanding Detection Method for Distributed Generation Interconnected with Utility Grid)

  • This paper describes the development of a novel islanding detection method, which uses the signal cross-corelation scheme between the injected reactive current and the power frequency deviation. The existing method, which injects the reactive current of 2.5-5% to the rated current and detects the frequency deviation directly, brings about lowing the power quality due to the harmonic pollution. The proposed method eliminates the weak point of the existing method, because it injects the reactive current less than 1% to the rated current. The operational feasibility was verified through computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software, and experimental works with a 10kVA hardware prototype. The proposed method can detect the islanding status effectively without lowing the power quality of interconnected distributed generation system.
