  • Induction-heated system is innovative system which applied IH(Induction Heating) magnetic induction heating generated from induction-heated metallic package and high-frequency power circuit technique for thermal converse technique. In this occurs not burning, so that the working environment and deterioration of products can be improved. This technique is used high frequency inverter. By using high frequency inverter high frequency in the range of kHz can be made with conventional alternative current. In this contribution IGBT module is used for high frequency inverter. In this paper are discussed analysis of characteristics according to the each frequency and produced Flat plate induction heating system using 1.5kW-class half-bridge resonant inverter. • Characteristics of the high frequency and pulsatile flow investigated experimentally to understand the flow phenomena in the hydraulic system. In the study, I axis fatigue tester which are widely used for automobile filed are selected. 4 Pressure transducer, amplifier, A/D convertor are used to analyse and to obtain the pulsatle pressure waveform with high frequencies in hydraulic system. Matlab are used. to analyse the characteristics of frequency. Variation of pump input pressure and actuator acceleration frequency, pressure wave are measured with or without accumulators. For with accumulator, frequency amplitude of pressure are very lower than those of without accumulator due to absorbing function of accumulator. As the actuator acceleration frequency increased, effect of accumulator are very important to decrease the pulsatile pressure waveform with high frequencies.

  • An external electrode fluorescent lamps (EEFLs) have the advantage of a long lifetime in the early stages of the study on plasma discharge, interest in the lamp continues. Studies on the operation of external electrode fluorescent lamps have focused mainly on its use of a type of high frequency (MHz). By performing high brightness using a square wave operation method with the low frequency below 100kHz, which is applied to a narrowed tube type lamp that has several mm of lamp diameter, an EEFL presented the possibility of using it as a light source for backlights. However, because an EEFL generates plasma using wall charges, which considers the impedance characteristics of glass based on the structural principle in discharge, it can be significantly affected by frequency. Thus, this study verifies the change in the characteristics of electromagnetic fields according to the change in frequency through a Maxwell's electromagnetic field simulation and examines the relationship between the change in the EEFL frequency and brightness by measuring the optical characteristics. In addition, the characteristics of the transformation of energy orbits were verified by investigating the characteristics of the wavelength according to the change in frequency through the OES.

  • Purpose: We aimed to identify associations between the frequency of electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) use and smoking-related characteristics among adolescent smokers. Methods: We used data from the 14th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey. The participants were 3,722 smokers who had smoked cigarettes on at least one day during the past 30 days. The frequency of e-cigarette use was defined as the number of days that participants used e-cigarettes during the past 30 days, and was divided into four categories: 0, 1~2, 3~9, and ${\geq}10$ days. We used the $x^2$ test and multinomial logistic regression to examine the associations between the frequency of e-cigarette use and smoking-related characteristics. Results: Those who attempted to quit smoking, had used a heated tobacco product (HTP) at least once, or initiated e-cigarette use before middle school were more likely to use e-cigarettes for 3~9 days in the past 30 days. More frequent e-cigarette use (${\geq}10$ days) was associated with a higher frequency and greater amount of cigarette use, lifetime HTP use, and earlier initiation of e-cigarette use. Conclusion: Smoking-related characteristics differed by the frequency of e-cigarette use. Therefore, intervention programs targeting adolescent smokers should consider differences in smoking-related characteristics based on the frequency of e-cigarette use.

  • In this study, we investigated the effect of the simplification for low frequency region in Head-Related Transfer Function(HRTF) on the sound localization. For this purpose, HRTF was measured and analyzed. The result in the standard deviation of HRTF showed that the directional dependence of low frequency was smaller than that of high frequency region, which means the possibility of simplification in the low frequency region. Simplification was performed by flattening of the low frequency amplitude characteristics with the insertion of the high-pass filter, whose cutoff frequency is given by boundary frequency. Auditory experiments were performed to evaluate the simplified HRTF. The result showed that direction perception was not influenced by the simplification of the frequency characteristics of HRTF for the error of sound localization. The rate of confusion for the front and back was not affected by the simplification of the frequency characteristics within 1kHz of HRTF. Finally, we made it clear that the sound localization was not affected by the simplification of frequency characteristics of HRTF within 1kHz. The result is expected to be utilized to reduce the size of speech information with no deterioration of the directional characteristics of the speech signal.

  • The development of the frequency convertors using semiconductors devices makes it possible to control the speed of A.C. motors easily. It is now economically feasible to provide them with power at adjustble frequency using silicon-controlled rectifier (or thyristor) inverters. In such a case, in order to operate an induction motor efficiently over a wide speed range, it must be supplied from a variable frecuency source of which frequency is adjustable over the speep range of the motor. It is desired to observe the changes in characteristics as primary current, torque-speed of induction moter etc. at any optional frequncy. Although the charactheristies can be obtained by means of the conventional methods they require very complicated precedures of calcuations. The Current Diagram Method in this paper suggests a new approach to simpler calcuations of the characteristics, using the motor constants at reference frequency. The conclusions of this study are summarized as follows: (1) The equations of stator current at adjusted frequency were derived to construct graphical chart and the current circle required for the Current Diagrm Method. (2) The radius, center of the current circle and the vector locus, the basis for calculating the characteristics, at any desired frequency could be easily determined with the aid of both the derived graphical chart and current circle at reference frequency. (3) The method was shown to be applicable to the various types of 3-phase induction motors and also dealt with its application to the split-phase, condenser motors.

  • The experimental study was carried out to investigate the pressure fluctuation, operating frequency, noise emission and combustion characteristics in an aero-valved pulsating combustor. Measurements of the pressure fluctuation, mean temperature and ion current inside the combustion chamber indicate that combustion phenomena are characteristically similar to those in the diffusion flame. The measured frequency schedue indicates that the acoustic theory of the quarter wave tube can be approximated to give the operating frequency, but correction factor must be involved to estimate the correct operating frequency. The spectral behavior of the noise emission exhibits that frequency bands with high noise intensity are narrowly restricted to the neighborhood of the operating frequency signalling the low-frequency combustion characteristics of the pulsating combustor. Measurements of the operating characteristics as variation of the fuel nozzle diameter and injection angle with 4 fuel nozzles have been made, and it was found that the system produced the stable operating conditions up to the turn down ratio of 3 when the fuel nozzle diameter is 1.2mm, and the optimum fuel injection angle is thought to be in the neighborhood of 30.deg. radially.

  • The PLL(Phase-Locked Loop) techniques re employed to make the switching frequency of a resonant inverter follow the resonant frequency which may vary due to the load variations during operation. The conventional design guide of PLL is not suitable in these case since the inverter characteristics are not considered. In this paper the phase characteristics of a resonant inverter is analysed and added to the closed loop. And the design of PLL with digital phase detector is illustrated for the output frequency to track the resonant frequency of the inverter.

  • In this paper, an improved integer-N frequency synthesizer that can be synthesized into smaller channel space than input signal frequency is presented. The proposed frequency synthesizer also has an characteristics of fast phase locking time. The frequency synthesizer performed in the manner that it divides various outputs of different phases in VCO by means of dividers that have different control signals respectively and then add the divided signal. In order to confirm the characteristics of proposed frequency synthesizer, behavioral and SPICE simulations are performed using C-language and HSPICE respectively.
