2006년 원주지역 산사태 발생특성 (Characteristics of Landslide Occurrence in Wonju during 2006)

  • This paper is results of analyzing characteristics of landslides occurred in Wonju, Gangwondo, around July, 16 in 2006, caused by heavy rainfall and antecedent precipitation by two typhoons of Ewiniar and Bilis. The main causes of landslides were antecedent precipitation during July 8 to 15, resulting in weakening grounds by increasing the degree of saturation previously, and the heavy rainfall during July 15 to 16. Most of landslides in natural slopes were transitional failures occurred along the boundary between the residual weathered soil in shallow depth and the hard mother rock. From results of conclusive analyses regarding 28 sites in Wonju region where landslides occurred, the slope length of landslide, the slope width, and the slope area were less than 50m with 71% of frequency, 20m with 79% of frequency and $300m^2$ of 64% of frequency respectively. The average value of slope angle was $35^{\circ}$. The most probable direction of slope was found to be north because of topography and advancing direction of seasonal rain front.

  • Measurement of different skin parameters are widely used in the practices and researches of the modern acupuncture. The most important parameter is conductance or impedance. For measurement, some researchers used D.C. and others used A.C. It has been experimentally shown that the acupuncture points and meridian lines have the characteristics of high potential, low electrical resistance, high capacitance, spontaneous sound production, spontaneous light production, and high temperature. The Purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Hapkok(LI-4, 合谷) on experimental frequency characteristics in Hapkok. The result of data analyses indicated that significant differences arise at frequency under 100Hz. We propose that development of Meridian detecting system or Meridian diagnosis system should be done using frequency under 100Hz.

  • A monobloc TDS(Tube Drive Shaft) has been developed by using the rotary swaging process which is one of the incremental forming process. In order to estimate the developed TDS performance characteristics such as natural frequency, strength, stiffness and mass, finite element analysis has been carried out using commercial software, MSC/NASTRAN. The calculated performance characteristics have been compared with analysis results of SDS(Solid Drive Shaft) to know how much improve the performance characteristics. Also the sensitivity analyses of design parameters for the tube length and diameter have been performed. From the analysis results, it was found that the TDS allowed for a high frequency and could be designed to be much lighter than SDS. This advantage can give possibility to tune the NVH (Noise-Vibration-Harshness) characteristics.

Frequency Tuning Characteristics of a THz-wave Parametric Oscillator

  • Frequency tuning characteristics of a THz-wave by varying phase-matching angle and pump wavelength in a noncollinear phase-matching THz-wave parametric oscillator (TPO) are analyzed. A novel scheme to realize the tuning of a THz-wave by moving the cavity mirror forwards and backwards is proposed in a noncollinear phase-matching TPO. The parametric gain coefficients of the THz-wave in a $LiNbO_3$ crystal are explored under different working temperatures. The relationship between the poling period of periodically poled $LiNbO_3$ (PPLN) and the THz-wave frequency under the condition of a quasi-phase-matching configuration is deduced. Such analyses have an impact on the experiments of the TPO.

Mindlin 판 이론을 적용한 단순지지 단면 접수평판의 음향방사효율 수치해석 (A Numerical Analysis on Acoustic Radiation Efficiency of One Side-Wetted Rectangular Mindlin Plate with Simply Supported Boundaries)

  • Acoustic radiation efficiency is a crucial factor to estimate Underwater Radiated Noise (URN) of ships accurately. This paper describes a numerical method to analyse acoustic radiation efficiency of one side-wetted rectangular Mindlin plate with simply supported boundaries excited by a harmonic point force. Transverse displacements of plate and acoustic radiation pressures are evaluated by the mode superposition method. The acoustic radiation efficiencies analyzed by both Mindlin and thin plate theories show little differences at monopole and corner modes of low frequency regions but relatively large differences at edge and critical modes of high frequency regions. Especially, the critical frequency with the highest acoustic radiation efficiency evaluated by the Mindlin plate theory is higher than that of thin plate theory. In addition, the acoustic loading effect of fluid also increases bending wave-number of plate and its critical frequency. Finally, the acoustic radiation characteristics of plates with different aspect ratios and thicknesses through numerical analyses are investigated and discussed.

  • 우리 나라 주요 우량관측소 22개 지점의 매년 최대치 강우자료에 대하여 빈도해석을 실시하였다. 매개변수 추정방법은 모멘트법, 확률가중 모멘트법, 최우도법 등이며, 매개변수 적합성, 도시적 해석, 분리효과, 적합도 검정결과 GEV 분포가 우리 나라 강우자료에 대하여 가장 적합한 확률분포형으로 나타났다. 선정된 GEV 분포형을 모집단의 확률분포형으로 가정하여 재현기간별 확률강우량을 산정하므로써 지역적 해석을 실시하였으며, 정확도 있는 선형화 기법을 통해 회귀분석을 실시하여 확률강두강도식을 유도하였다. 본 연구에서 유도된 확률강우강도식은 실무차원에서 임의 지속기간의 재현기간별 확률강우량을 간편하게 구할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Time domain earthquake response analysis method for 2-D soil-structure interaction systems

  • A time domain method is presented for soil-structure interaction analysis under seismic excitations. It is based on the finite element formulation incorporating infinite elements for the far field soil region. Equivalent earthquake input forces are calculated based on the free field responses along the interface between the near and far field soil regions utilizing the fixed exterior boundary method in the frequency domain. Then, the input forces are transformed into the time domain by using inverse Fourier transform. The dynamic stiffness matrices of the far field soil region formulated using the analytical frequency-dependent infinite elements in the frequency domain can be easily transformed into the corresponding matrices in the time domain. Hence, the response can be analytically computed in the time domain. A recursive procedure is proposed to compute the interaction forces along the interface and the responses of the soil-structure system in the time domain. Earthquake response analyses have been carried out on a multi-layered half-space and a tunnel embedded in a layered half-space with the assumption of the linearity of the near and far field soil region, and results are compared with those obtained by the conventional method in the frequency domain.

유한요소 해석을 이용한 초음파원자현미경 캔틸레버의 접촉 공진주파수 특성 분석 (Analysis of Contact Resonance Frequency Characteristics for Cantilever of Ultrasonic-AFM Using Finite Element Method)

  • Ultrasonic atomic force microscopy(Ultrasonic-AFM) can be used to obtain images of the elastic properties of a subsurface and to evaluate the elastic properties by measuring the contact resonance frequency. When a tip is in contact with the sample, it is necessary to understand the cantilever behavior and the tip-sample interaction for the quantitative and reliable analysis. Therefore, precise analysis models that can accurately simulate the tip-sample contact are required; these can serve as good references for predicting the contact resonance frequency. In this study, modal analyses of the first four modes were performed to calculate the contact resonance frequency by using a spring model, and the deformed shapes of the cantilever were visualized at each mode. We presented the contact characteristics of the cantilever with a variety of contact conditions by applying the contact area, contact material thickness, and material properties as the parameters for the FEM analysis.

  • This study aims to analyze international trade papers published in Korea during the past 2002-2022 years. Through this study, it is possible to understand the main subject and direction of research in Korea's international trade field. As the research mythologies, this study uses the big data analysis such as the text mining and Social Network Analysis such as frequency analysis, several centrality analysis, and topic analysis. After analyzing the empirical results, the frequency of key word is very high in trade, export, tariff, market, industry, and the performance of firm. However, there has been a tendency to include logistics, e-business, value and chain, and innovation over the time. The degree and closeness centrality analyses also show that the higher frequency key words also have been higher in the degree and closeness centrality. In contrast, the order of eigenvector centrality seems to be different from those of the degree and closeness centrality. The ego network shows the density of business, sale, exchange, and integration appears to be high in order unlike the frequency analysis. The topic analysis shows that the export, trade, tariff, logstics, innovation, industry, value, and chain seem to have high the probabilities of included in several topics.

남한강 유역 댐 영향 지역의 기본홍수량 추론 (Inference of natural flood frequency for the region affected by dams in Nam Han River)

  • 본 연구에서는 남한강 유역내 충주댐 직하류부터 양평 수위관측소 지점까지 댐의 영향을 받는 지역에 대해 저류함수모형을 이용하여 댐에 의해서 조절되지 않은 자연상태의 홍수량을 모의하고, 이를 근거로 홍수빈도분석을 실시하여 기본홍수량의 거동 특성을 분석하였다. 충주댐 하류부 6지점에 대한 지점빈도해석을 통해 산정한 재현기간에 따른 분위수의 변화는 지점별로 서로 유사하였고, 이의 평균적인 거동은 지역빈도분석 결과와 거의 일치하였다. 충주댐 하류지역 자연홍수량에 대해 계산된 분위수 및 빈도홍수량의 평균치는 충주댐 상류에서 기 도출된 결과와 유사한 특성을 나타내었다. 충주댐 하류지역의 분위수와 빈도홍수량의 평균치는 댐 유무에 따라 큰 차이를 나타내었으며, 특히 분위수는 재현기간이 커짐에 따라 더욱 큰 편차를 보였고, 통제된 경우 빈도홍수량의 평균치는 댐 하류로 갈수록 기본홍수량에 점차 근접해가는 형태를 나타내었다.
