녹용에 관한 연구 (제 1 보) 녹용수침액의 유리아미노산에 대하여 (Studies on Deer Horn (I) Free Amino acids of Deer Horn Water Extract)

  • Six kinds of free amino acids, leucine, methionine, threonine, lysine, histidine and aspartic acid were found by using partition paper chromatography from water extract of deer horn which is widely used as tonic drug. The results shows that deer horn does not contain any specific free amino acid.

국내산 백태 품종의 지방산 및 유리아미노산 조성 (Fatty Acid and Free Amino Acid Composition of Major Domestic Soybean Cultivars)

  • The fatty acid composition and free amino acid content of domestic soybean cultivars were analyzed to confirm the quality characteristics of protein and fat contained in soybeans. The saturated fatty acid content of soybeans included palmitic acid at 9.47~11.15%, followed by stearic acid and myristic acid. The total saturated fatty acid content in soybeans was 12.56~14.34%, with Taekwang having the lowest content, followed by Daewon, Seonyu, Cheonga, and Jinpung. The linoleic acid content, an unsaturated fatty acid, was 45.69~58.17%, with Taekwang showing the lowest composition and Jinpung showing the highest composition. Next was oleic acid at 14.69~33.86%. Jinpung had the highest linoleic acid composition, had the lowest and Taekwang which had the least linoleic acid, had the highest. The unsaturated fatty acid content was in the order of linolenic acid, eicosatrienoic acid, eicosadienoic acid, and eicosapentaenoic acid. The total free amino acid content was 217.28~456.66 mg%, with Daewon showing the highest free amino acid content, followed by Seonyu, Taekwang, Cheonga, and Jinpung. The free amino acid content varied depending on the cultivars, but in general, the free amino acids in the soybeans used in the experiment showed higher aspartic acid, glutamic acid, and proline contents than other amino acids.

느티나무에서 면충에 의한 충영형성과 아미노산종과의 연관성 (The Correlation between the Gall-forming Process by Aphids and the Various Amino Acids in Zelkova Serrata Makino)

  • 느티나무에서 외줄면층에 의해 형성되는 충영의 생육을 조사하고, 유리 아미노산의 조성과 함량을 면충의 생활사에 따라 잎, 충영 및 면충체액에서 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 충영의 형성위치는 잎의 중간분위 또는 기부 쪽에서 엽맥을 따라 엽병쪽으로 진행되었으며, 조사된 잎의 90% 이상이 1개의 충영만을 형성하였다. 충영성숙은 면충거주자가 유시성충으로 이탈된 후에도 폭과 길이에서 증가하고 있는데 이는 충영이 면충의 먹이 또는 서식처로서 뿐만 아니라 식물체 조직의 일부로도 연계되어졌음을 시사하였다. 검출된 유리 아미노산은 proline, alanine, valine 및 trace 등 26${\sim}$29종으로 잎, 충영 및 면충체액에서 유사 asparatic acid가 가장 많았고 특히 면충의 경우 간모 1령기에서 alanine이 18.4%로 전 경시시료 중 최고치를 나타내었다. 충영의 폭과 길이의 증가에 따라 유리 아미노산의 총량 변화 또한 간모 1령기에서 무시성추기에 증가됨으로서 느티나무 충영생육은 탄수화물과 더불어 아미노산 등의 질소 급원이 주요 생육 물질임을 확인할수 있었다.

강원도산 잡화 벌꿀의 아미노산, 당류 및 효소활성 (Free Amino Acid, SUgar and Enzyme Activity of Honey Harvested in Kangwon Area)

  • Total nitrogen content, proline, free amino acids, sugars, invertase and diastase activities in native bee-honey (NBH) and foregin bee-honey (FBH) harvested from our different areas of Kangwon , Korea were determined. The total nitrogen contents of NBH and FBH were 0.077$\pm$0.033mg% and 0.055$\pm$0.022mg%, respectively. Proline content in NBH was 42$\pm$10mg% and waqs found to be much lower than that in FHB. Phenylalanine and proline were major free amino acids both in NBH and FBH . The content of total free amino acid in FBH were twice as much as that in NBH , however isomaltose content in NBH were almost two times more than that in FBH. Other sugars including fructose, glucos , sucrose and maltose were also analyzed. No differences were found between NBH and FBH in invertase activities, but comparing to these of FBH ,lower values of diastase activity in NBH were observed.

임신말 태아의 아미노산영양에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Fetal Amino Acids Nutrition at Term of Human Pregnancy)

  • This study was performed to investigate the placental transfer and the human fetal utilization of amino acids at term of pregnancy. The plasma levels of 23 free amino acids in both the umbilical circulation ( umbilical vein and artery ) and the uterine circulation ( uterine vein and iliac artery ) of 34 pregnant women were measured at delivery by the cesarean section. In the umbilical circulation, 9 amino acids ( alanine, lysine, valine, leucine, arginine, isoleucine, ornithine, cystine, ${\alpha}-aminobutyrate$ ) were significantly higher and 2 amino acids ( glutamate, aspartate ) were significantly lower in the umbilical vein than in the umbilical artery. In the uterine circulation, alanine, tyrosine and methionine were significantly lower in the uterine vein than in the iliac artery. Glutamate was significantly lower in the uterine vein than in the iliac artery. According to these results, the origin of fetal plasma amino acids was discussed in terms of the metabolic conversions which would occur in the Placenta and the fetal utilization of amino acids was estimated.

한국재래종 호박 완숙과의 섬유질, 단백질 및 아미노산 함량 비교분석 (Content Analyses of Fiber, Protein and Amino Acids of Fully Ripe Fruits of Korea Native Squash, Cucurbita moschata Poir)

  • 한국산 재래종 호박 완숙과의 총세포벽 물질, 펙틴, 총단백질, 단백질을 구성하고 있는 아미노산 및 유리아미노산의 함량을 비교 조사하였다. 과육의 단백질 함량은 ‘제주 2’가 $2,830\;{\mu}g/g$으로 가장 높았고 '상주'는 $1,319\;{\mu}g/g$으로 가장 낮았다. 세포벽물질은 ‘강화’가 2,961 mg%로 가장 높았고, '남해'는 1,582 mg%로 가장 낮았다. 또한 세포벽 물질 내 펙틴의 함량은 ‘강화'(2,198 mg%), '제주 2'(2,178 mg%) 및 ’제주 1'(1,461 mg%)의 순서로 높았다. 또한 세포벽 물질 내 펙틴은 수용성과 불용성 펙틴이 주류를 이루고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 아미노산 함량조성은 품종에 따라 다소 차이는 있지만 glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, leucine 및 valine이 주를 이루어 전체 아미노산 함량의 50% 이상을 차지하였고, 특이하게도 '제주 2'는 aspartic acid와 threonine이 검출되지 않았다. 한편 완숙과 호박의 과육 내 유리 아미노산은 8종의 필수아미노산(histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, phenylalanine, methionine, threonine 및 valine)을 비롯해 총 34종류의 유리아미노산이 검출되었고 aspartic acid와 asparagine의 함량이 전체 유리아미노산 중 50% 이상으로 가장 높았다. 또한 이뇨작용과 관련된 ornithine, citrulline, arginine이 모든 품종에서 검출되었으며 ornithine과 citrulline은 품종간에 큰 차이가 없었으나 arginine은 ‘남해’가 4.3 mg%이었으며, ‘태안’이 29.34 mg%로 품종간에 7배의 큰 차이를 보였다.

비수리의 미네랄, 이미노산, 비타민 분석 (Analysis of Minerals, Amino Acids,and Vitamin of Lespedeza cuneata)

  • 기능성 천연물 생물소재 개발을 위한 목적으로 비수리(L. cuneata)의 미네랄, 아미노산 및 비타민 함량을 조사한 결과 다음과 같다. 무기성분은 Ca, K, Mg, P, Na, Fe,,Mn, Zn, Cu이 주성분을 이루었으며 Ca이 737.03 mg%로 가장 많이 함유되어 있었다. 유리아미노산의 총 함량은 50.24 mg%이며 이 중 proline이 33.77 mg%로 전체 유리아미노산의 67.2%를 차지하였고 필수아미노산은 7.49 mg%이었다. 구성아미노산은 2,817 mg% 분리 동정되었으며 필수아미노산 1,084 % 중 lysine의 함량이 가장 높았고 leucine, valine, threonine, isoleucine, phenylalanine의 순으로 많이 함유되었다. 또한 비수리에서 노화방지의 역할을 하는 vitamin E가 33.03 mg%인 높은 함량을 나타났다.

Effect of Germinated Brown Rice Concentrate on Free Amino Acid Levels and Antioxidant and Nitrite Scavenging Activity in Kimchi

  • In this study, we investigated the effect of adding a 1, 3, or 5% solution of germinated brown rice concentrate (GBRC) to fermented kimchi. During fermentation, the concentration of free amino acids and essential amino acids increased with increasing concentrations of GBRC. In particular, higher levels of free amino acids were associated with a sweet taste compared with controls. The ${\gamma}$-aminobutyric acid (GABA) content of kimchi containing the 5% GBRC solution was 3 times higher than that of controls. The total phenolic compound content (130 mg%) did not change significantly in the control group, but increased in 10 mg% increments as the GBRC concentration rose from 1 to 3 to 5%. 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging activity and superoxide radical scavenging activity also increased with the GBRC concentration, with maximum activity during the ripe stage with GBRC measured at 79 to 82% compared with controls (30 to 71 %). The nitrite scavenging activity was 10% higher with GBRC compared with controls and was highest when the pH was 1.2. These results showed that the addition of GBRC is effective in improving the function of kimchi.

Theoretical Study on Hydrophobicity of Amino Acids by the Solvation Free Energy Density Model

  • In order to characterize the hydrophobic parameters of N-acetyl amino acid amides in 1-octanol/water, a theoretical calculation was carried out using a solvation free energy density model. The hydrophobicity parameters of the molecules are obtained with the consideration of the solvation free energy over the solvent volume surrounding the solute, using a grid model. Our method can account for the solvent accessible surface area of the molecules according to conformational variations. Through a comparison of the hydrophobicity of our calculation and that of other experimental/theoretical works, the solvation free energy density model is proven to be a useful tool for the evaluation of the hydrophobicity of amino acids and peptides. In order to evaluate the solvation free energy density model as a method of calculating the activity of drugs using the hydrophobicity of its building blocks, the contracture of Bradykinin potentiating pentapeptide was also predicted from the hydrophobicity of each residue. The solvation free energy density model can be used to employ descriptors for the prediction of peptide activities in drug discovery, as well as to calculate the hydrophobicity of amino acids.

표고버섯 균사체 배양기간에 따른 PDB 배지 내 유리 아미노산 변화 (Changes of Free Amino acid in PDB Medium by Lentinula edodes (Sanjo 701ho) Cultivation period)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the changes in the amount of 20 free amino acids in PDB (Potato Dextrose Broth) medium during the incubation period while cultivating Lentinula edodes. The total incubation period was 90 days, and the total amount of free amino acids was confirmed every 45 days. Among the 18 kinds of amino acids whose increase and decrease patterns were confirmed, 10 amino acids were increased compared to that in the control, among which cysteine increased from its initial value of $9,889{\pm}3{\mu}g/L$ to $12,909{\pm}2{\mu}g/L$ at 45 days and $29,256{\pm}4{\mu}g/L$ at 90 days. Six amino acids with decreased expression patterns were identified. Arginine decreased to $83,751{\pm}2{\mu}g/L$ after 45 days from its initial value of $161,787{\pm}1{\mu}g/L$ and to $79,055{\pm}7{\mu}g/L$ at 90 days.
